Quoted images are so popular in social media and there are many sites where you can find quotes from famous people. But in order to create something unique you need…
- Image Editor (to apply the quoted text on the image)
Photos can be found online , I have already presented a catalogue of Royalty Free Images websites.
Quotes are everywhere , you simply “Google” them or search for them in your favourite search engine.
Additionally I reviewed a few free online image editors , like Snappa , Canva , Ribbet , BeFunky.
But lately I discovered a handy online tool where you can create beautiful quoted images without having to visit multiple websites. All you need is the Images.
Quotes Cover – Find “Quotes” and Apply them on your Images in a Creative Way
Website: Quotes Cover
The Quotes Gallery
For those of you that are in a hurry or feel lazy there is an extended gallery of pre-made quoted images. You can simply download them and use them for free even for your commercial projects.
Additionally there is the option to redesign them in the way you want.
Pre-Made Quote #1 – Example
All the pre-made designs are using a simple background like this one.But you can easily add a background image and change the dimensions.
or you can Create a new Quoted Image from Scratch
Step #1 – Select from Wording Collection
You can track quotes by
- Open the list of Ancient Proverbs
- Open the list of Inspirational Lines
Or alternatively you can write your own quotes.
Let’s create one from the ancient proverbs.
I chose one quote , Next Step #2 is to choose the Output Dimension.
- Social media pic updates or e-cards
- Pinterest pin picture
- Facebook cover
- Twitter header
- Google+ cover
- Wallpaper dimension (desktop , tablet , smartphone , notebook)
- For prints (posters , business cards , postcards)
I will go with the Pinterest option.
Step #3 – Quotes Picture Generator – The editor / maker
I picked an image from my Royalty Free collection to use it as background.
The text can be easily moved anywhere in the editor by dragging it with the mouse.
I can choose from the extended catalogue of “Fonts” and change the text colour.
- Hide quotation mark
- Hide author name
- Hide time and date
- Transparent text
- Blurry background
- Drop shadow (text)
- Inner shadow (text)
Background Image options
- Hue , saturation
- Brightness , contrast
I was not expecting to find colour effects in an application like that. And that was an awesome surprise..!
I just chose one font and replaced the background image , no effects on this one.
There is a special option to change the way words are displayed.
If you add an asterisk symbol (*) in the beginning of a word , this word will be rendered differently to create a beautiful effect.
I placed the asterisk in front of the words :
- No One
I added a drop shadow effect on the text , changed the text colour and applied a colour effect on the background image. Moreover I deleted the author name.
The dimensions are 800 x 600 px , in an eCard landscape template.
New Quotes – Wallpaper 1024 x 768 px
I marked the words
applied an image effect and changed the text colour. My image is ready in less than 2 minutes , now that I am getting familiar with the app.
What else is in Quotes Cover?
I found two tutorials
- Designing Facebook cover for New Year
- How to create nice looking quote picture about happiness in only 4 minutes
They are active on You-Tube , Facebook and Pinterest.
The application can save much of your time , in terms of searching for the quotes separately and using an image editor. You can create your own quotes on their website for free.
It is a fast app and the effects seem to be quite enough.
Furthermore you can find inspiration from the pre-made pictures.
You can always use this tool in combination with the other image editors for improved customisation.
Other Free design tools
- Fotojet – Create Beautiful Collages
- E-book cover creator
- Online Logo Maker
I hope you like this tool as much as I do.I am waiting for your comments and thoughts. Are you using Quotes Cover and want to share any of your designs?…What other application you use for quotes creation?…Till next time , your online partner.
