I’m following Ben Settle for a while now as I was introduced to him by some other business owners and marketers I know.

And the other day I had a friend and marketer sending me an email about a book he read, Super Villains Of Persuasion #2.

I thanked him for his recommendation and here I am, reviewing the book for you.

Super Villains Of Persuasion 2 – Review

ben settle - super villains of persuasion 2

The book is short but extremely interesting. There’s no fluff, it gets straight to the point and keeps the reader alert at all times.

How long did it take me to finish it?

Just one night, laying on the bed before sleep.

And that means a lot.

Ben Settle Background

Ben says about himselfSlacker email coach who routinely gets praised by the world’s highest-paid marketers and copywriters.

Email supremacist, book newsletter publisher, pulp novelist, software investor, alt-copywriter.

An Internet marketer, entrepreneur, email specialist, and author who writes about business, marketing, and selling – as well as the occasional twisted monster story.

He’s been praised by well-known entrepreneurs, marketers, copywriters, and industry leaders. Names like Danny Iny, Ray Edwards, Brian Kurtz, Russell Brunson, Ken McCarthy, Mark Ford, Ryan Lee, and others.

Ben’s Emails

His emails are most of the time very interesting and there’s a variety of topics he covers ranging from shouting out trolls and social media nerds, copywriting and persuasion secrets, influence, sales and marketing, book and movies mentions and analysis.

His writing is not conventional and some may say he’s unorthodox, or even scary and anti-professional.

The Book

It’s about helping you achieve anything you want:

  • Money and wealth
  • Power, status, and privilege routinely denied ordinary men
  • A “ride-or-die” dame who always has your back
  • The loyalty of others
  • A higher paying job and professional security
  • Greater respect
  • A thriving business
  • Peace of mind
  • Even the world, if that’s what you want…

So if you want any of these I suggest you read the book as soon as possible. I’m not saying you’ll reach your goals, but it’s a great starting point.

What Is All About

There are 10 chapters. Every chapter introduces a new principle of persuasion.

I won’t reveal any of them. It would be a dishonor to the author of the book.

But I will give you a good preview of what to expect.

As Ben aka “Rood” says, this book is a happy hunting ground of movie, TV, and comic book story spoilers.

The Book’s Promise

You will have a special attribute not one in a thousand men possesses. It will give you a charisma you can use to go forth and conquer your enemies and achieve your Mission. It can help you charge more for what you sell, give you more prestige, status, and respect.

You’ll be able to attract people to you, seeking out your help, making them more open to your influence, it will make you a super villain of persuasion, too.

Mentions, References

The author shares quotes all the time that add to the mix effectively.

By Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias – Watchmen, Count Dooku – Star Wars, Gandalf – The Fellowship Of The Ring, Gamora – Avengers, Crowley – King Of Hell, Bane – The Dark Knight Rises, The Joker – The Dark Knight, Borg Queen – Star Trek, Erik Killmonger – Black Panther, Detective Somerset – Se7en.

He explores and analyses villains like Doctor Doom, and why he is superior to four other major fantastic four villains. Lux Luthor, prince Loki, Mr. Sinister from X-Men, Alladin’s arch-enemy Jaffar, Thanos in Avengers, Erik Killmonger from Black Panther, Magneto in X-Men, Aldrich Killian in Iron Man, Radu Vladislas, Clubber Lang in Rocky 3, Dark Lord Sauron in The Lord Of The Rings, Kingpin in Born Again, Red Hood In Batman, Don Corleone in The Godfather, Tuco in Better Call Saul, Jimmy Conway in Goodfellas, Darth Vader from Star Wars, Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th, Jonathan Whirley in the movie Dragnet, Jonathan Crane the Scarecrow in Batman Begins, Ava Lord in Sin City, Dr. Curt Connors – the Lizard in The Amazing Spiderman, Glass from Unbreakable, Amy Dunne in Gone Girl, Zemo in Captain America, Toby in Paranormal Activity movies, John Doe in Se7en, Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight.

He shares insights from great marketers like Dan Kennedy, Gary Halbert, and a few others.

He refers to history’s great achievers like Johnny Carson, Steve McQueen, John Singleton – Hollywood director.

He highlights parts of novels like Congo of Michael Crichton.

He talks about best-selling authors like Rober Kiyosaki in Rich Dad, Poor Dad, FJ Shark author of How To Be The Jerk Women Love.

He also mentions Dr. Larry Nassar, a depraved rapist who specialized in helping athletes for the USA gymnastics team, and molested dozens of those patients at his office and gym.

What You’ll Learn

What makes these villains so persuasive to those they rule and so dangerous to those they battle. What makes their enemies horrified.

How they manage to have mass influence, loyal henchmen, an impenetrable ‘force field’ around their egos.

What gives them drive and motivation to do things ordinary men can only dream of, what gives them influence over people who will eagerly want to help them.

How they persuade powerful men to change everything about themselves, how they control men who themselves have control over other men.

How they bend others to their will.

How To Use This Knowledge

The author highlights that there is also a flip-side to it all and that you must be careful how you use this knowledge. Some of the principles of persuasion don’t work for the majority of men and can take the form of wasteful and self-destructive things.

Or they can sabotage you if you don’t invest in them correctly.

The majority of the villains mentioned are bad and there are criminals that may very well be vile scumbags.

Ben underlines that you should not be bad at all in order to use this power. If used right, you can become a better person.

At the end of the book, there’s an exercise to strengthen your least used muscle…

Final Thoughts

A very powerful book that’s absolutely necessary for business owners, marketers, copywriters, salespeople, people with no confidence, people with a vision, people with dreams.

If you have big goals, I mean really big, this book will help you realize that actually your big goals are very limited.

That’s it, another review has finished, here on Web Market Support. I am waiting for your comments and thoughts. Till next time.
