WA History

WA was founded in 2005, but the co-founders, Kyle and Carson, begun their online journey with PPC (pay-per-click) advertising campaigns a few years earlier, and Wealthy Affiliate started out as a simple ‘Keyword List’ site to help bloggers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs find their audience by using ‘targeted’ keywords.

For that matter Kyle on his blog post (11 September 2014) says…

Whew, what a journey it has been.

Precisely 9 years ago, we went “Live”. September 10, 2005, was the day Carson and I launched our little project, WA. The publish button was clicked, and we were off.

A simple “keyword list” site, that is what wealthy affiliate was. Nothing more, nothing less. Carson and I had a good deal of success (primarily in the PPC world) and we know that all roads of success lead back to an understanding of keywords.

We decided that $29.99 per month ($359.98 per year) would be a fair price for our monthly membership site and we initially were going to offer it to a certain number of people depending on how many keyword lists we were producing.

So, our brilliant idea was to create quality lists of keywords and to show people how to use them to create a successful business online. With a little apprehension and a little excitement, we were off

It all started with ONE member

To grow a flourishing tree or a forest, you first need to have a single seed planted. Not only that, you need to nurture that seed.

As new members started joining, they began to request things like personal support, a way to communicate with others, an affiliate program, keyword tools, writing tools, websites, hosting, more training, easier ways to learn…amongst literally 1,000’s of requests for improvement over the years.

We took that feedback and we built. We built WA not out of self-interest or money, rather we built it based on what our users wanted. What our users demanded. And sometimes what we knew our users need without them having to request it at all.

Look at just a few of the “face” changes that WA has gone through over the years…

Affiliate Bootcamp Training – 7 Phases x 10 lessons

Wealthy Affiliate Education

The WA Training aims to help people succeed in affiliate marketing. This business model enables independent entrepreneurs or companies to earn commissions on products and services offered by 3rd parties. The final price of the product remains the same, and affiliate marketers don’t have to worry about delivery and customer service.

This is a great opportunity for those that don’t own a product, they simply can promote other companies products and earn commissions. In many cases, the commission rates are pretty lucrative reaching 70% (mostly for digital products), and there are recurring commissions for products that come in the form of monthly or yearly subscriptions.

It’s a very flexible business model with literally no restrictions as affiliates can promote as many companies as they want.

The training introduces to members the affiliate marketing world, and through a step by step structure full of actionable tasks and assignments get people to take action on what they learn.

It’s the ‘Earn while you Learn’ method.

The training expands on SEO, keyword research, niche and market research, WordPress, content creation, social media marketing, website development and programming, local marketing, video marketing, email marketing, pay per click marketing, and more.

There are 2 main training modules

  • Online Entrepreneur Certification – 2 courses of 10 lessons each
  • Affiliate Bootcamp – 7 phases of 10 lessons each

Additionally, there are Classrooms, and Live Video Classes that are held every Friday. These classrooms and video classes are what makes WA training stand above the competition as we’ll discover later on.

On top of that, members can publish their own trainings, blog posts, and ask any questions. The forum is very interactive and the live chat is pretty crowded with thousands of entrepreneurs discuss everything that has to do with online businesses at any given time and day.

This means you can get your questions answered in minutes or hours, where at the same time in other places and communities slow infrastructures result in a delay.

Online Entrepreneur Certification – Level 1

Getting Started

(available for Free and Premium members)

Review

Course Description

This is a 10-lesson course that is part of the Wealthy Affiliate Online Entrepreneur Certification. It will walk you through the steps of creating a successful online business that generates revenue. This getting started course (level 1) is your first step to realizing your potential as an online business owner.

  • Lesson 01- Getting Rolling
  • Lesson 02 – Understanding how to make money online
  • Lesson 03 – Choose a Niche
  • Lesson 04 – Building your Own Niche Website
  • Lesson 05 – Setting Up Your Website
  • Lesson 06 – Getting Your Site Ready for the Search Engines
  • Lesson 07 – Creating Your Initial Website Content
  • Lesson 08 – Creating Custom Menus on your Website
  • Lesson 09 – Understanding keywords, the Start of your Content
  • Lesson 10 – Congratulations and your Next Steps

Right from the first lesson, the training analyzes how money can be made online with an affiliate website. Most people will find it exciting and they will take action based on the tasks provided.

The 2nd lesson goes deeper into the Affiliate Marketing definition and displays the enormous opportunity for common people all over the world.

The 3rd lesson is an introduction to ‘Niches’, the distinct segments of the market that we try to target with a website. This is only a brief summary of what ‘Niches’ really are. There are many other niche related resources in the classrooms and the live video classes but a part of this information should have been included in the main training module in order to help people decide a niche with low competition.

That is why I use another approach to ‘Niches’ with the DBR Free Training.

The 4th lesson introduces SiteRubix, a very powerful website builder with extended capabilities.

The 5th lesson analyzes the first steps you should take on WordPress.

The 6th lesson shows that we need rankings in the search engines to attract targeted traffic in order to turn it into revenue later on. Additionally, it expands on getting your site ready for SEO with the use of a free plugin.

The 7th lesson demonstrates how to create the initial pages of content on your WordPress site.

The 8th lesson expands on custom menus and how to use them to improve users’ experience.

The 9th lesson is all about keywords and how to use them to tap into unlimited opportunities. The tasks are necessary in order to turn theory into practice.

The 10th lesson is a recap of the course, and Kyle, the owner, reminds people what they have accomplished so far, he introduces the next training module and speaks about the premium WA membership.

All in all, this training module is a great introduction to making money online with affiliate marketing. Everything a newcomer needs is right there. My only objection is the ‘Niches’ related section. All the other chapters include all the necessary information for someone that wants to start an online business.

The course lives up to its promises (benefits and learning outcomes), it’s available for Free and Premium members and is one the best free trainings in the market.

I suggest that you take both the WA 1st training course and the DBR Training in order to spot the best of niches with your first choice.

The training modules cover these areas:

  • Basic understanding of the money-making process
  • Affiliate marketing (promoting products and services from existing companies for commissions)
  • How to choose a direction (niche)
  • The SiteRubix web builder and its features
  • First steps to WordPress and plugins, backups
  • Initial content pages, Custom menus
  • Keywords (many lessons devoted to keywords)
  • How to use the WA membership and features
  • Domains, email accounts
  • SEO (extended lessons and examples), affiliate links, internal links

The Verdict

Have in mind that this is the training that got me started in the online world in 2015. And still, I get back to it on many occasions to refresh my memory and to exchange ideas with other entrepreneurs in the classrooms. On top of that, I try to watch the Live Video Classes held by Jay Neill every Friday or the replays.

But of course, no training is perfect.

Objections

I would expect a more detailed explanation of ‘Niches’.

There is extended information on this subject but members have to retrieve it manually in the classrooms and the live video classes archive.

The Bootcamp is 7 phases long while the online entrepreneur certification consists of only 2 phases. The Bootcamp is focused on promoting WA with a ‘Make Money Online’ site, and the online entrepreneur certification is for people that want to build a site in any niche they want.

This structure may lead newcomers to join the Bootcamp training which is more comprehensive instead of going through the online entrepreneur certification courses. As the majority of newbies won’t be able to discover a niche in which they are passionate about due to the lack of crucial information they might get involved in a ‘Make Money Online’ site, a segment of the market that is very saturated.

Of course, people going through all of the courses, like me, will be able to apply the Bootcamp techniques in any niche, but many people might get lost.

Parts of the premium main training modules provide only basic knowledge, for example, training on design or video marketing. I would expect more content on these subjects.

I would expect the training to expand on more social networks. It refers only to the 4 most popular engines, G+, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. The Pinterest and the G+ trainings are more thorough, the Twitter and Facebook chapters are only a summary of those networks.

The Good Things

No objection to keywords, SEO, content creation, PPC, traffic methods, conversions, tracking, and WordPress. All these lessons provide a powerful framework to scale websites.

In fact, there is so much information that you’d always discover new techniques to implement.

And this is what makes the WA training so powerful. These are the most important aspects of an online business. Keywords, SEO, traffic, PPC, conversions. If you get these right you don’t have to worry about going social or other methods.

Furthermore, the lessons dedicated to the SiteRubix platform are very comprehensive and don’t leave space for questions.

All in all, it’s the training that helped me achieve online success, and I believe it can do the same for you. Only have in mind 1 thing. The ‘Make Money Online’ niche is very competitive and it takes more time to build an authority name.

WA Live Video Classes – Final Review

If I had to summarize this WA department in one sentence I would say this:

These Topics Can Transform your Marketing Knowledge.

As you can see the Wealthy Affiliate Live Video Classes expand on the main training modules and the classrooms.

Jay’s methods helped me achieve massive online success. These training sessions are fully packed with exclusive information on top marketing strategies that bring results.

I can’t stress the importance of those topics enough.

The Live Video Classes provide information on topics that the Bootcamp and Online Entrepreneur Certification Courses do not offer.

These techniques can transform you from a marketing newbie to a marketing ninja ready to dominate the markets as an affiliate, as an SEO consultant, as a website developer for clients, as a local marketing agency, as a marketing company, a freelancer, a dropshipper, an owner of an eCommerce store.

Following Jay’s class, you’ll find yourself ahead of the competition. If I had to follow one person in WA, this would be Jay.

That is why I recommend Wealthy Affiliate Live Video Classes as one of the Top Online Business Resources worldwide.

Here you control your email accounts. You can add as many accounts as you want. And you can even forward email accounts to other services.

SiteSupport

This is where you can ask for technical help. The WA support team is there 24/7 and usually, they respond within a few minutes. The slowest response I got was 15-20 minutes and the fastest was less than a minute.

You choose your domain and a category of the problem and then you type in your message. You can additionally upload media files like screenshots to help the team resolve your issue.

WEBSITE EXAMPLES

A collection of websites created by WA members

Wealthy Affiliate Website Examples

Now I want to demonstrate websites built with the SiteRubix web builder from people followed the Wealthy Affiliate training, sites that are doing well in their niche, get rankings in the search engines, and earn income mostly in the form of affiliate commissions, selling advertising space, and email marketing.

More importantly, I will show websites outside the ‘Make Money Online’ niche because in the main training modules review I highlighted that the WA training is mostly geared towards that industry. But I also mentioned that these training methods and principles can be applied to any market.

These sites come from Wealthy Affiliate members who completed the main training modules, participated in the training classrooms, and followed the live video classes archive (which is the most valuable and comprehensive part of the WA training that provides information outside the saturated ‘Make Money Online’ industry, information that can be used to build websites in any niche of the market).

You can use these websites as inspiration, to get ideas for your site, and to get to know that anything’s possible if you work consistently.

I could not find external ads from networks like Google Adsense but maybe there are ads on certain pages.

Final Review:

The site gets great rankings in the most popular search engines. Have in mind that this niche is very competitive and this site created in July 2016. The site’s competitors are huge magazines, groups of people, journalists, and independent bloggers as well.

Live Chat

The live chat of Wealthy Affiliate is exactly what SETS this community APART from others.

I received help instantly when I was a newcomer numerous times. This is extremely important when you get started with a business.

I made friends and valuable connections.

You have to experience it in order to understand its real value.

As you can see in the screenshot the live chat area is a very interactive place with messages come and go. People ask questions, others interact and chat, others have fun, exchange ideas.

I love this feature more than anything else. When I got started I had all my questions answered. Now it’s my daily hangout.

wealthy-affiliate-siterubix-live-chat

Forum

As you can see the forum is very interactive as well. The blue square numbers show the replies to each thread.

This is where you can find posts from other members, questions, success stories, or even complaints. Others share personal stories, others want to express their opinion on marketing topics, others just want to communicate and interact.

You can filter the forum threads by:

  • All

  • Everyone
  • Friends

Private Messaging System

You can send private messages to anyone, both people you follow, and others that you don’t follow. A very flexible mechanism to speed up your communications.

Member Profiles

Every member has a profile page. It displays their network (who they follow, who follows them), their posts in the community, their trainings, their questions, their links to their websites. Many people leave comments on profile pages, interacting in a different way than the live chat.

Community Review

I’ve used all the WA community features countless times especially when I got started. Yes, it’s very important to get timely help when you start an online business. You can’t go alone. Besides, this is part of human nature, people need help, no one ever succeeded alone, and if someone says so, this is a lie.

I used the live chat to interact with people, to make connections, and most importantly to get help with technical stuff. I needed to know how to operate WordPress, how to create menus, links, pages, posts, how to find images.

The help you get from other members using the live chat is fast. Sometimes you have to wait longer, as the chat room is not always crowded, but the average response time is only a few minutes.

I used the private messaging system to get in touch with buddies like I do on social media.

I interacted in the classrooms to get exclusive help on top marketing topics.

I use the forum for inspiration, to participate with my comments, and to offer my help as well.

Now, after using the WA platform since 2015, I can confidently say that I owe my online success to this beautiful community. WA is truly a pay it forward platform, you don’t feel you interact with competitors, instead, you give and receive help, and that leads to mutual success.

Success Stories

And now you probably wonder, is anyone making money following the Wealthy Affiliate training? There are so many positive reviews on the net, there should be some success stories.

I can assure you, there are thousands of successful entrepreneurs that used WA as their vehicle. But only a few of them share their stories.

Here are a few of them:

AlexSol – First $400+ Day!!! (3 month at WA)

Date: Feb 05, 2014

WA member since October 2007

Summary: I have been in WA for a bit over 3 months… without any previous IM experience.
When I look at my CB account, I still can’t believe it, but here it is, around $3K.
2 bum sales and 10 PPC sales on $40 Adspend! I guess putting time and effort into this thing does pay off 🙂

Ok now, I have to go rinse and repeat 🙂 Good luck to you all!

Alex

sporkypie – More progress: December – revenue goal exceeded

Date: Jan 03, 2018

WA member since February 2017

Summary: Earnings: $591 from Adsense, $372 Amazon, $111 from Shareasale. And about $150 from another vendor. Total: $ 1225.36. Goal: $1000. Goal exceeded!

Expenses: about $60 for ghostwriting, and whatever my monthly prorated WA fee is.

StubearBlack – 3 Years at WA, leaving my 9-5 job, and becoming truly independent

Date: Jan 02, 2018

WA member since December 2014

Summary: I really don’t know where to begin. To start off, it’s been a roller coaster journey for me at WA, but I can tell you it’s worth it. A lot has happened in 3 years, and it’s not always pretty and doesn’t always feel good.

So on July 13th, 2017, I woke up and felt different. I felt refreshed like I hadn’t felt in a long time. I knew something different was going to happen that day but didn’t know what it was. Long story short, I was called into the general manager’s office and he laid me off.

When my site first started gaining traction, it was a like a plane taking off. What I realized after December of 2016 is that marketing isn’t quite what I thought it was, and doesn’t quite always work like you think it’s going to, or should

After my best month in December of last year, traffic started going down. In December I made just over $2000 and reached my goal for the year. January income went down, and in February I made like $600. Lol.

dylanrieger – Month 7 – $4550

Date: Jan 02, 2018

WA member since Aug 2015

Summary: This is my last money post until I hit 10k, which I expect to happen this up coming fall.

I made a little over $4500 in commissions from Amazon and this came from 1269 sales and 39,000 unique clicks from Google.

Don’t worry if you’re not getting the same results as me. This is the 7th month of my website but I’ve been here at Wealthy Affiliate for 2 and half years now.

It took a lot of experimenting, reading and failure to reach this point. The only advice I can give you is this:

1) Don’t give up

2) You have to try and write a few hours a day. We’re in the content business and you’ll need a good amount of content to make this work.

3) Focus on making money. Don’t just write “how to” articles that have no shot at making you money. Write plenty of reviews and lengthy best of posts – those two kinds of posts are actually easier to rank than “how to’s”. I personally would go 60% to 70% money posts and 30% to 40% how to’s.

If you’re not getting any traction and your past the 6 month mark make sure to read the post I linked to up top – it’s everything I’ve learned to get such fast results.

Success Stories Collection

#01 – MattThomas – WA results/How I made $2K in one day last month:

Date: July 26, 2017

WA member since May 2014

Summary: There’s no doubt that waking up to $2K in my account feels great, but there’s no such thing as “overnight success”. I worked hard to put myself in a position to achieve this. I earned that money from the work I’ve put in days, weeks, months, and even years ago at this point.

My best piece of advice would be to pursue one of your greatest passions. That’s what will keep you motivated day in and day out…

And while WA provides an attractive affiliate program, don’t feel forced to pursue that path. I personally didn’t make this money from promoting WA. In fact, 99% of my online income comes from private affiliate programs outside of WA.

There’s nothing wrong with doing so, but there’s a lot of competition in that particular space. You’d be surprised about the amount of opportunity available within relatively obscure niches (with a lot less competition).

#02 – nmarino7 – Success with SEO & Local Business because of Wealthy Affiliate

Date: Jan 15, 2018

WA member since September 2015

Summary: Using the principles I have learned here at Wealthy Affiliate I was able to move a local landscaping company from page 12 in Google to page 2 within a couple days. In addition to that, the company started ranking higher for multiple other keywords especially for all the local towns in the area. I simply used the training from WA about SEO, keyword research, and content building.

Thanks, WA. To everyone reading this, their training for getting ranked works

#03 – SuzetteH – Made My Biggest Commission Yet!

Date: Sep 22, 2016

WA member since October 2014

Summary: I got online today to check my account balance for my checking account to see a $51.00 deposit. I had to take a double take. Yep, you got it, It is was a commission from an affiliate program I am associated it.

Now $51.00 doesn’t sound like a lot but It is, and I am going to tell you why. This commission came from a pet product company that I promote on my cat website. What makes this so cool is that I have actually put that website on the back burner for about 2 or 3 months!

I have posted no new content, I haven’t even marketed or promoted this site for way too long. Now I am not proud of this but I want you to see that affiliate marketing works! Having a website with quality content works!

Can you imagine the commissions I could be making if I wouldn’t have put this website on the back burner? Okay, I got to stop before I shoot myself. Just kidding!

#04 – sporkypie – More Progress: December – revenue goal exceeded

#05 – AlexSol – First $400+ Day!!!

I guess putting time and effort into this thing does pay off ?

Ok now, I have to go rinse and repeat ? Good luck to you all!

#06 – MikeLaz71 – I made my 1st commission – 9 weeks into Wealthy Affiliate!

Date: Apr 14, 2017

WA member since February 2017

Summary: Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my good news, I am 9 weeks on my site with Wealthy Affiliate and I just made my first commission! What a great way to start the day off, and it will only get better. Have a great day everybody!

#07 – boston10111 – $12,500 – Website Sold on Flippa

Date: Feb 05, 2014

WA member since October 2007

Summary: Last year I rang in the new year making $775 in the first two days. It’s always a cause for celebration when you are making money from your hard work!

This year I’m ringing in the new year (I know it’s early, but I can’t hide my excitement) celebrating selling one of my websites for…Drumroll…$12,500!

And for the record, that’s more money than I’ve actually made in the lifetime of the website, but I’ll get into the stats in a minute.

The transfer of ownership is complete and the money is getting deposited into my bank account as I write this.

Before I sold the website on Flippa, I always thought to myself. Why would I want to sell a website that makes me money? Those people that do that are crazy!

But, here I am. I sold a website that was making me $500+ a month consistently.

Everyone has their reason for selling, and I have my own as well. I will just tell you a few of the reasons to help you understand

#08 – bthiel – December 2016 – $8968

Date: Jan 02, 2017

WA member since December 2013

Summary: A while ago I posted about earning $5K in a month through a single niche site, that site has continued earning and generated just shy of $9K throughout December 2016.

I’m not really doing anything different than what’s taught here. Well, I haven’t really started with social media, yet. No AdWords, no intentionally built backlinks, no guest posts on other blogs, nothing special has been done. Just simple white hat SEO bringing in organic search traffic.

#09 – JeffL61 – A very pleasant surprise! 7 sales

Date: Dec 08, 2015

WA member since February 2015

Summary: Hi Everyone, I was on Amazon today as I am enrolled in their associate’s program. I had planned on simply doing research in preparation for a review of a product for my bicycling website that I planned on adding in as a new post.

Lo and behold I looked up at my account and was almost shocked to see that as of today, Dec. 8th, I have already sold 7 products to customers all related to the sport of bicycling. By far my best month ever and we’re barely a week into the month – also the holiday shopping season.

As I promoted today a hot new product put out by Garmin, (fitness watch) I hope that this trend continues!

Indeed it is but another positive attribute to what we all learn here in WA and how to go about building a profitable online business

#10 – dalwhu – 14 Sales on Amazon over Black Friday and the weekend

Date: Nov 27, 2017

WA member since January 2017

Summary: I have 23 referrals to WA so far but none have gone premium as yet but to soften my Frustrations I did make 14 Sales on Amazon this weekend! I’m very happy with that!

Remember there are multiple ways to make money here just keep doing what your doing, get better at it and follow the system!

I hope everyone done OK this year?

#11 – saco – Made 525$ Last Month – 10 months progress report

Date: Sep 02, 2015

WA member since October 2014

Summary: The turning point happened in May when my website was aged 6-7 months. I started actually getting rankings in Google, 2nd and 3rd page mostly. On June my first sale came in and I made 70$ from it. On July I made my second sale and made the same 70$ from it. On August I made a total of 13 sales and made 525$ from them.

At this point, my website is getting around 100 organic visitors per day

#12 – OwainCouch – My First $100 Cheque From Ancestry!

Date: Sep 19, 2017

WA member since June 2016

Summary: Hi everyone, I just went to check my Ancestry affiliate program and I see that my first payment is coming. Not sure how long it will take but I got $102.50 coming to me. I’m really excited about this!

It’s taken a while mind you to get this first cheque. More than a year, but least it’s coming and that’s the main thing. I can’t wait to keep getting more commission from this program.

#13 – StubearBlack – 3 Years at WA, leaving my 9-5 job, and becoming truly independent

Lol.

#14 – Borneoman – Made 12 Sales in October

Date: Nov 02, 2017

WA member since May 2016

Summary: I haven’t updated my health and wellness blog since May this year and last month when I checked my Amazon associate account, wow, I made 12 sales! I have only 20 articles on that particular blog.

I guess it’s time to put more money, time and energy on this site.

#15 – Josh From Oz – $2477.50 Since Becoming A WA Affiliate – My Strategy

Date: Oct 06, 2016

WA member since March 2012

Summary: Before entering into the ‘make money online’ niche I was very skeptical of my chances of success. But I put my faith into the Affiliate BootCamp training like I did 4 years ago with the Online Entrepreneur Certification course.

After achieving great success with marketing physical products from Amazon, I knew it was time to expand. Plus I learned the HARD WAY about putting all your eggs into 1 basket last year. So a new income stream I demanded, and there’s none better than the Wealthy Affiliate Referral Program right!

Knowing that the training was going to be first class and accurate I dived in. I was right, the training by Kyle was spot on and the result of taking action is so far to date $2477.50.

#16 – jetrbby80316 – 8 Shopify Sales in 2 days! WHOA!

Date: Sep 09, 2017

WA member since Mar 2017

Summary: Can you imagine the look of disbelief on my face when I woke up yesterday, turned on my computer in saw 8 Sales on my New Shopify Store? That’s 7 sales in the prior 24 hours, and 8 Shopify Sales in 2 Days! Whoa!!!

I’ve had this online store open for one month now, and prior to the past 2 days, the sales were only trickling in. But you know what they say, to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result is pure insanity, isn’t it?

So I decided to put a new ad out and write new copy. Made the ad pop more, changed the language a bit, and added some cool new and exciting pics. I then added a new exciting product for kids on my store.

Still, I was not expecting all so much. Then BAM!

#17 – Zarina – So, this Just Happened (for the first time)

Date: Mar 03, 2018

WA member since September 2015

Summary: Just thought I’d quickly write this post to give a bit of encouragement to newbies or to not-so-new with new websites.

In November I started a new Amazon niche website that I’ve been slowly working on.

(Note: Super Affiliate Challenge did challenge me a bit but along with the WA website I still kept on improving and working on the new Amazon website.)

3 days ago I published my 12th article.

Today I check in incognito mode the keyword I was trying to rank for and to my surprise I am not only on the first page of Google but also Google chose my website for the search info box thing!

#18 – kevinmj – WA success, going to Ibiza!

Date: Aug 04, 2015

WA member since Mar 2014

Summary: I just want to keep this short and sweet.

Thank you Kyle, Carson & WA Community because I have been able to treat my family to a holiday for the first time in 10 years!

It’s all paid for by the success I have had since joining WA. The training has been immense and there is still so much to learn. I feel as though I just got started.

One of my goals when I joined was to treat my family to a holiday as they deserve it.

I gotta go and catch my flight! ?

Love to you all!

Kevin

#19 – Pauric – I’ve had 3 Amazon Number 1 Best Sellers in 4 countries in the last year!

Date: Mar 05, 2018

WA member since July 2013

Summary: I’ve had 3 Amazon Number 1 Best Sellers in 4 countries in the last year. Without WA this would not have been possible as I knew very little when I joined.

A HUGE Thank you for the invaluable guidance, help, support, & Very Special People here at WA. By far the Number 1 online community in the world.

#20 – georgejhaas – Record Amazon Sales Using SEO!

Date: Feb 04, 2013

WA member since Sep 2009

Summary: I just like to share with my fellow WA online marketers that I experienced a record day in sales on February 3, 2013. My wife and I only do SEO and we are an affiliate with Amazon. The revenue for one day was about $1,000 and we earned in commissions $51.27 for one day. If we did this every day, we would earn almost $19,000 for the year. I am very excited about this accomplishment.

So far for the year, we are running 3 months ahead of what we were doing last year. If you follow the training and use the tools that WA offers, you too can become successful.

I just wanted to share my success with my followers and all of WA.

George

#21 – nicolemarie0 – First sales!

Date: Mar 07, 2015

WA member since Jan 2015

Summary: I’ve been pretty quiet the last few days…actually more like a week! I’ve been working furiously on my book (almost done!) and working on my other job and I was starting to feel bad that I hadn’t made the time for my website.

I just got back on to check WA and my site before bed (I’ve been sick with food poisoning) and saw that I made TWO SALES!!!!!

I got my first WA referral (woo hoo!!) and my first sale from one of my affiliates!!! This is AWESOME ? I got paid while I was sick on the couch! lol

I had heard that it would take anywhere from 3-6 months for the first sale and I can’t believe it came before the 3rd month. Amazing.

If I can do it, you can do it!!

#22 – LynneHuy – No Need To LOOK For Income!

Date: Sep 15, 2017

WA member since June 2015

Summary: My journey since joining Wealthy Affiliate has been absolutely incredible and I just wanted to share some insights with you all about earning from your websites.

When I first started blogging I didn’t quite understand how to make money with my websites, I read about it and it seemed so HARD.

What I have now come to realize is that once your website is a few years old and you have some regular traffic as well as some content that has ranked you don’t need to try so hard to make an income.

I have found recently that people come to me and ask me for things and I can decide whether I want to or not.

Here are some of the cool things that have come my way this week (without me having to do a thing):

1) An email marketing service has contacted me asking for a review on my online marketing website. We negotiated and I am going to be paid $175 for that review plus I get to use their service free for a year.

2) A marketing company has contacted me and asked me to review a microwave oven. I get the oven for free valued at R2999 (appr $230) and I am being paid R1500 (appr $115)

3) An SEO company contacted me and asked me for a text link on my mommy blog home page and on my addiction website and they have paid me $250 for these links for 6 months, with the possibility of continuing – we’ll see when the time comes.

These are not services that I offered on my websites, in fact I don’t really even have a price list. The truth is that I just sort of make things up as I go along.

The point here is to keep going with your website even if you are not sure now how to make money. Once you have traffic, a social presence and some content ranking in your niche you will be able to make money in so many different ways and it will come to you.

The work you put in today will pay off big time in a few years time. It is an investment in your future!

Have a happy Friday!

#23 – nathaniell – Vegas 2017: Still Awesome

Date: Feb 07, 2017

WA member since June 2010

Summary: There are so many positive things about the Wealthy Affiliate conference in Las Vegas. Great food, fun activities, and meeting “computer friends” in real life always leaves me inspired for the year to come.

The Las Vegas trip is always fun, but we do get a lot of work done. We all sit around at a big conference table and exchange ideas of what happened during the year, and discuss how we can make it better next year.

Here are a couple things that were very clear from our meetings!

1) Kyle and Carson always have our backs. They work A LOT behind the scenes to make WA an excellent place to learn how to build an online business.

2) Wealthy Affiliate is always improving. Even in just the 6 years I’ve been here, I’ve seen a lot of changes. But there’s always a way to make WA more user friendly, more newbie safe, and most importantly… a better way to help everyone make money online.

3) Awesome things are coming in the near future. There are some very exciting ideas being worked on right now. In 2016 I was very happy to see SiteDomains launched with fair, straightforward pricing, including free domain privacy and free SSL. But there are even bigger and cooler things coming down the pipeline!

Not A WA Affiliate?

That’s totally fine! You can make money in any niche. I created a full time business in a computer software niche before I ever started a website promoting WA. I’ve been here since 2010!

Even if you don’t plan to promote WA, stay involved in the community! As new tools and resources are added to WA, running your business through the Wealthy Affiliate platform will be come faster and easier.

Where else in the world can you plug into a community like this, at any time of day, from anywhere in the world?

#25 – lakbar12 – $223.50 Made While In ICU

Date: Jan 07, 2018

WA member since Nov 2017

Summary:

Inspiration to The Newbies

I am writing this post because, with out a shadow of a doubt, one common question that I see is “How much can I make with this program, Wealthy Affiliate?” and “Does it work?”.

Okay, maybe it is two common questions that I see.

I am NOT an Experienced Marketer

To clear any thoughts, I am in No Way an experienced Marketer. Truth is, I barely know what I am doing. I just follow the training. So, this is not one of those stories where I tell you I have this X amount of years of experience. I am a beginner. I have not been online more than 3 months. Just getting my feet wet!

How Long Have I been On The Internet

I have been at WA since 11/20/2017 and went premium on the 11/24/17. Before, WA I was on the internet for almost 30 days.

Those 30 days was spent with a 7 figure coach and mentor, learning to build the right mindset and things like that. So, I never even had the chance to make money or even promote. As, you see that program didn’t work out for me right now. I needed something else, something that I could invest in comfortably and follow along with the training. So, I jumped ship for now and went over here to WA

I Went and Check the Email

I go and check the email and to my surprise I made a commission while in the ICU. Never in my life would I have thought this would happen.

I am always posting my journey and remaining positive in anything I do. Life could be worst. Appreciate what you have today. I want everyone to win!

This is actually a surprise that I still can not process….

The total Commission is $223.50 made on 01/05/2017 47 days after I signed up with WA. I am not saying this will be the same time for you but I am saying this can be possible..

WA 1ST Commission Update!

I also recently learned that when I first wrote a WA blog post about “I made an $8.00 commission”, that was not all I made. I had a pending yearly commission as well…So, I am still in shock about that.

$8.00 plus $167.00 pending made on 12/31/17. Made after being a member for 41 days

So, does Wealthy Affiliate work? Yes, you bet your bottom dollars it does…

I do not write this post to brag, trust me I am not a bragging person. I write this post because, I know sometimes in life just seeing proof makes you work harder… You can clearly see that I am an ordinary person with No prior experience.

Trust The Process, Even if You Feel Like You Are Doing Things Wrong

#26 – Dale123 – I’ve Been Quiet. Here’s Why

Date: Jan 18, 2018

WA member since Jan 2017

Summary:

It’s just that for the past 10 days or so you might have noticed that I’ve been a little bit quiet on WA which is unusual for me since I’m generally always about on here.

I want to say that this trip probably wouldn’t have been possible for me if I didn’t have an internet business!

The freedom to just be able to drop things & go anywhere (even places without internet) is priceless… And that’s just one of the many advantages that comes from having an online business.

So for all you guys (and girls) just starting out building your businesses, wondering whether it will be worth it or when it will finally take off, keep at it!! Honestly it will be the best thing you will ever do & in 1, 3 or 5 years time you will look back & be so glad that you started when you did.

And I can also say that providing you keep at it then success WILL happen for you. There is no if’s & but’s about it, providing you work towards it & stay persistent, it WILL happen. People waste years looking for the “secret” but honestly that is all it takes… Work & persistence. So here’s to making 2018 an awesome year!

#27 – cena1975 – How Much A Single Review Post Can Make? – Five Figure!

Date: Jan 27, 2018

WA member since May 2013

Summary:

This is a friendly request by Kyle to me for a blog post. Till today I still struggle with my grammar but who care! As long my article go live and traffic is coming that the most important. It go better when it generate money in return.

I didn’t know how a single product review I written back in 2015 can bring in this amount of money. This money might not be a lot to those top earners with full time income online. But these are real money that I spend.

For 2017 this particular post make me $10k which I just calculate. Imagine I written it back in 2015 and leave it there. I realize it start to make money. I do some editing and improve in a way more engaging with the readers.

So it set as template review for me and my best friend aka my online business partner. Rizal also written a product we use for our business. It turn out Boom another passive income. Over $11k of affiliate income over a year. Great to have friend who trust me that this online stuff really work. We have project coming we going to launch!

I like to once again thanks my buddy aka my mentor who bring me to WA. Pribs!

As well Kyle and Carson!

Cheers

#28 – derekmarshal – Finally! I lost My Virginity!

Date: Feb 01, 2018

WA member since Oct 2015

Summary: Finally I did it! and it was darn amazing! and I now know what that awesome afterglow feels like after pounding and working away for what sames like ages..exhausted, tired and, yes a little sweaty!!

What a truly joyful fabulous feeling…..truly, there is nothing quite like it on earth

………..I checked my stats!

I crossed the $1000 in earning in a single month!

I had just lost my $1000/month virginity!..

What an amazing feeling!

It may have taken 2 years but hey, it is not how long you take to complete the race that counts, its is finishing the race!, getting there and achieving the goal that counts.

Must say after reaching that goal (and earning $350 in half a week). I am absolutely vibrant about what can be achieved this year and in coming years.

for example, and as an example of how a blog can grow over time

year 1 (2016) I earned something like $1800 in total

Year 2 (2017) over $5700 (just over triple)

Year 3…well.. I’m off to a flying start already and January is usually one of the slower months compared to 2017..(this January well, just over 4x the $260 of January 2017).

Whats more, I doubled my clicks from December 2017 to January 2018 (one month) and improved conversions slightly and earnings per 1000 visitors. I do attribute this reaching out to my sponsor and very experienced niche marketer Nathaniel (thanks buddy) in a email conversation and making just one of a few changes suggested.

#30 – CraigUKTV – 1st $1000 month – Wealthy Affiliate success!

Date: Feb 05, 2018

WA member since Sep 2016

SummaryI didn’t expect to meet this milestone last week but I got a couple of late sales on my TV subscriptions which took my earnings up to $1100 for the month of Jan.

It’s taken me almost 1 year and 5 months to achieve this level of earnings but I set myself a target of 18 months so I’m pretty chuffed to have made it.

I want to share my journey, not to gloat but to show you how things can change along the way and also how I had to re-focus and change my strategy.

#31 – ArjunUllaz – It’s Been 2 Years & 2 Months In WA. Finally Quit My Job. Yayyy!

Date: Feb 19, 2018

WA member since Dec 2015

Summary:

It’s my pleasure to announce that I have been around here for 2 years and 2 months. Finally a day what I dream of has come true. YES, I quit my 9*5 job. I was working as an SEO Specialist for 1 and half year now. Yesterday I resigned and now became a full time blogger/marketing nerd.

Am not earning per day 100$ though but still now am making 3x of my monthly salary which is much enough to survive in India. All thanks to WA community members & of course to Kyle & Carson.

Hmm. Some of may thinking why it took so long. Ok Here is my story.

….When I was in my final semester I really worried of my career on what to choose. While browsing through Google I search for “how to make money online sitting at home”all the time. LOL, I know majority of them here also went through the same by typing similar keywords.

At last landed on doing online surveys, data entries, that ended up in failure. But I realized that there are so many people who makes 5 figures 6 figures or even 7 figures online. Therefore decided not to quit.

Again started searching online for genuine programs by putting several keywords again and again. From there I short-listed 5 programs which I find interesting to me. WA was one among them. Later I scanned whole 5 programs and decided to try WA.

Next, Money was bit problem for me to arrange since I was a student and my parents initially don’t want me to give a try saying it will be SCAM!. It takes one week for me to convince them and collected the money for premium membership. But unfortunately by that time BLACKDEAL offer got closed and again I have to rush for rest of the money.

Atlast in first week of Dec 2015 my life changing day has started. Became a premium member of Wealthy Affiliate Community. I immediately enrolled into their course and start learning. Also, I was really overjoyed with the messages and welcome messages by all members. I FELT AM IN RIGHT PLACE WITH RIGHT PEOPLE

Started my first blog in second week of Dec 2015. Hmm ? Did I see success? LOL I realized no free money out there at that time. That was just a beginning of my frustrating days since as a blogger first thing what we have to find is our interest and based on that we have to start writing.

Due to my poor writing skills I was forced to join myself for writing classes and it takes me one month to be on track. Thereafter I published 4 to 6 articles in a month and you know something ?

I didn’t make anything say not even a single $ for the first 6 months. Hmm did I give up ? No way guys. I know my limitations. YES AM A SLOW LEARNER BUT I NEVER GIVE UP LIKE THAT.

Also, because of WA training I got my first job as junior SEO analyst and retired early as Senior SEO Specialist(Hope you know the reason why I stepped down).

I keep on crushing my blog by asking doubts, referring more tutorials here. If there are any tutorials missing then usually I ask questions or else I will explore Google for more.

Learned so many people’s ups and downs. Got some valuable friends and connections. Later I saw one of my keyword comes to the front page of Google

Now I have 2 native English writers who posting behalf for me. And I edit my blog by adding my own SEO sauce to those blogs/affiliate sites. Right now My blogs, affiliate sites and my online store are performing well with the tips & tricks what I learned from here. Earning a consistent income of $150 approx per month from Adsense alone.

#32 – brokwebb – Joined the 10K Per Month Club. January Earnings $13,481.39

Date: Feb 13, 2018

WA member since Nov 2013

Summary: One of my last posts sharing income was in October of 2016.

It was a post about how much your website/business can change in a year. At that time I’d went from an income of $300 to about $4,000 a month in a year.

Now it’s the end of January 2018 (I know it’s been a few months over a year) and I wanted to share my progress and how much your traffic and income can change if you work your ass off in for one year!

Starting in November 2017 I’ve been making over $10,000 a month and in January I had my highest month ever: $13,481.39

Hopefully this inspires you to keep going. If you follow the training, work hard, and give it time to work you will make money and if you continue to work hard you can grow a huge monthly passive income!

#33 – whitsunday – I Sold a Very Big Ticket Item With My Website.hundreds of thousands of buckeroonies!

Date: Feb 25, 2018

WA member since Dec 2013

SummaryI need to tell you of my latest and greatest success story and it is important for you to know that I am deeply indebted to the Wealthy Affiliate training for my successes.

Of course I learned to make a website at WA and I learned how to promote it in social media and online.

Recently, like last week, I sold a very big ticket item and made a lot of thousands of dollars. True.

I took all of the skills I learned here at Wealthy Affiliate and piled them onto just one website.

Because the website is about a subject I know extremely well, I found it really easy to find ideas for posts and write fluidly. I kept layering and layering the pages and posts and I would have kept adding more and more but the item sold sooner than I anticipated.

Some of my readers commented on what an amazing sales presentation I had made of it.

The skill set learned here at WA included Youtube videos, keyword research, SEO checklists, easy read layouts and lots of captioned and tagged images.

Go strong and go well from Janelle

#34 – EddySalomon – How I Earned $9465.05 Thanks To WA Members

Date: Mar 02, 2018

WA member since June 2007

Summary: So February is was a tough month for my site and others. There seemed to be less traffic around the week of Valentine’s Day and it’s just a shorter month. But despite that I was able to earn $9465.05 with my affiliate site. Imagine what a full month would have looked like without the holiday! lol I pieced together a screenshot of my income from the various programs that earn me revenue on my site.

How Did I Do It?

There is no magical secret. I pretty much follow what the training lays out.

WA Membership Has It’s Perks

So a lot of times I see members wondering if it’s worth investing in going premium. That’s been a resounding yes for me since 2007 when I first joined. Aside from the technology and training, the members are a huge benefit. Essentially you get to rub elbows with successful people you normally wouldn’t have access to.

So that said, the $2024.95 and $2128 I earned this month was a result of chatting with two other successful WA members. I make it a habit to look at others sites in my niche to get inspired and borrow ideas. I take it step further and ask questions if they happen to be WA members. I did that recently and it led to an additional $4000 this month and that number will grow every month just because of a few quick private messages.

I hope this helps. Let’s see what happens next month!

#35 – herinnelson – I got a $650 Sale with $50 monthly recurring!

Date: Mar 03, 2018

WA member since Sep 2016

Summary:

INFINITE WAYS TO SUCCEED

Yes, there are endless angles in which to produce a handsome income at Wealthy Affiliate. I have now combined my 2 jobs and interests into one place–here! Why not?!

WRITING

If you read my profile, you’ll see I write books. I am creating a new website here to manage the sales.

WEBDESIGN

I also have a WebCenter business where I design and manage sites for clients. I have been doing this for over 20 years. I now am re-designing each of my client’s sites in WordPress, and one-by-one I’ll move them all here for similar fees of around $650. (The original sales were double or triple that.) They are sites I’ve managed for years and years, and each one will have a recurring monthly charge of $50

DUPLICATING SALES FOR HIGH PROFIT

So, you see, this is just one way to produce massive income when all is said and done. Selling sites is a great way to establish a business online. I fell into the perfect platform to do that and will be duplicating my past business sales to the present and on into the future!

I also have 5 other sites I’m working on here for–me! They are all works in progress–because, after all, web work continues on forever! Yes, I’ll keep chipping away at it for years to come, I’m sure.

I’d love to hear your ideas of other ways to produce a great income here. What are your experiences?!

You can get as creative as you want! I won’t complain!]

#36 – arielharris7 – I am seeing money come in, and YOU can too, 3 steps

LAST MONTH INCOME:

My first sale was…drum roll please..$2.38 from Amazon.

I did some guest posts and was paid $60.00

I accepted some paid affiliate posts and received $52.00

Total: 114.38

I cannot yet book that flight to Hawaii, but I can truly see getting on that plane now.

And that is food money. That I did not have the month before.

Is that enough to get excited about for me? Oh yes yes yes.. I am doing my happy dance!

#37 – ManikaHenn – My First Commission!

Date: Feb 01, 2018

WA member since Sep 2017

Summary:

YES! So I had just woken up and had decided to check my email when I saw that I had gotten MY FIRST REFERRAL PURCHASE! The commission was an amazing USD26.85, which translates into around SGD40!

I checked my stats on Google Analytics, and it showed that I only had 6 people view my site from an organic search (bear in mind that I’m only getting 20 views/week) and one of them made a purchase!

My elation at the time was beyond description! I was excited breathless and astonished that it had actually happened, refreshing and re-refreshing my email over and over again. My site has only been up for around 2 months, and I uploaded the post that got me the referral on 13 Jan! One thing I took extra care of were the keywords, which I didn’t spam throughout my article (in fact I wrote the article about a topic first then decided on suitable keywords later so that I wouldn’t inadvertently keyword-stuff).

I have this sinking feeling that it may have just been luck (with such little traffic), but it’s most definitely progress nonetheless!

I’m really super glad that my website has made this, as it gives me some small affirmation that I’m on the right track, even with my niche as broad as it is (anything Star Wars related).

So to anybody out there, do press on! Even if you haven’t seen results yet, IT”S MOST DEFINITELY ON THE WAY!

#38 – Melb47 – My first commission sale!

Date: Jan 31, 2018

WA member since Aug 2017

Summary:

The first sale has finally come. I was perusing my clicks on the e bay partner network expecting the normal $0 commission when my eyes bugged from my head in disbelief! There like a mirage in the dessert was the figure $.61!

What starts as a trickle can eventually become a flood.

Back to work!

#39 – Shwni – Got My First Payment From Google Adsense

Date: Feb 04, 2018

WA member since May 2017

Summary:

I have just had my first big payment through being at WA which was from doing nothing but put a few ads on my website. I have only been using Adsense for 3 months and just got paid, OK, it wasn’t a fortune but it still counts as getting paid and I am hoping it will continue to grow and be more frequent like every month.

It was only £92.62 but that is £92.62 more than I had yesterday ?

#40 – Melmichelle – I made my first $20!

Date: Feb 19, 2018

WA member since Dec 2017

Summary:

I got an email this morning from a company I signed up to be an affiliate with. I earned $20 just like that! I didn’t think that I needed proof that this works, but it helps! I have learned so much already since I joined WA in December. I am excited to be in the WA community and to build my websites. I am looking forward to writing and communicating with the people in my niche and on WA.

One of my niches is health, specifically cleanses. I ended up having kidney stones last month and using a kidney cleanse to pass them. Crazy timing since I had just chosen that niche! Now I have even more to write about! Here’s to feeling better and learning much!

#41 – TCChandler – Made a sale!

Date: Feb 20, 2018

WA member since Jan 2018

Summary:

I made a $9.95 sale and ended up earning $1.09!!! Small, BUT – I made a sale.

I’ve been working hard for a good three weeks, hoping something would happen. So I’m so excited to see the process is beginning to work!

Hoping for more commissions in the future! Thanks to everyone here at WA for supporting and encouraging me.

Excited to keep working hard! Thanks everyone!

#42 – derekwise21 – This WA system really works!

Date: Mar 15, 2016

WA member since Jan 2016

Summary:

I have been a part of multi-level marketing businesses in the past and knew that there was a much better way of life then the normal 9 to 5 grind. While in college i finally decided to pick that book back up and read the whole thing.

I looked into ways of making money online before and never came across one that would let me try it for free. Which was a big deal because I quit my job to move to another city and had only 1 rental as income. So being able to try Wealthy Affiliate for free is really the only reason I said I would give it a go. I went premium only 7 days later and now have a great website up and running. Most online businesses don’t really give you too much training where WA has given me so much training I am not even sure what I am going to do with all of this knowledge I have gained.

I was a tad skeptical at first because I have been promised many times online that there program would be beneficial and they just weren’t. They promised traffic and I never got any. I have been a part of Wealthy Affiliate for a little over 2 months and I get traffic to my website everyday. It isn’t a ton of traffic just yet but it is some which is more then what I saw from other companies I have tried online. I have also made some money with my website from Google Adsense, so I know that there system works and as long as I keep following all the training I know the money will follow eventually.

This is a big thanks to Kyle and Carson for creating something that can and will change my life.

I will be successful online and I know that Wealthy Affiliate is going to be a big reason why.

  • Positive Attitude

Now off you go and make some commissions!

#44- Kathy331 – Is it working?

Date: Jan 13, 2015

WA member since Aug 2014

Summary:

A conversation in live chat between 2 full time Internet marketers and long term members of WA prompted me to write this. This was the gist of it:

“the majority drop out after 3 to 4 mths of hard work when success is just around the corner”

I’ve passed the 4 mths barrier so is it working?

In a word, yes!

  • Traffic is improving.
  • I’m starting to get comments that aren’t just from WA members.
  • Clicks on Adsense ads are increasing.
  • I’ve made few small affiliate sales.

Most of this is from organic traffic, I’ve used social networks but not heavily.

I’ve suffered from all the self doubt that most of you here will go through, but I now really feel confident that this will work. When I started it was a struggle to write even 300 words now I can do a 1500 word review and enjoy it!

I’ve built 2 websites that I enjoy writing for, (I want to buy all the products I review!) I’ve written a guest blog and am planning another. I can’t begin to detail how much I’ve learnt at WA but am chuffed to bits that I now know enough to sometimes be a help to others!

So for all of you who are at that tricky 3/4mth time, DON’T GIVE UP, the experts (katskatskitchen & Shawn Martin) will tell you success is just around the corner. ?

#45- Catwoman1459 – Yes, I am still a Premium Member of Wealthy Affiliate

Date: Apr 06, 2018

WA member since July 2016

Summary:

I joined WA in July of 2016 and went premium within the first month. Since then I have created three websites and an e-commerce store.

Now it was time to focus! I decided to work on one site and one site only. I put all my time and effort into that site which happened to be my favorite niche site. Yes, it’s about caring for your pets!

Working hard and staying focused is finally paying off. My site is now getting plenty of traffic and I am making sales almost every day. I am thrilled with my progress and so glad I found Wealthy Affiliate and this wonderful community. Remember, It only works if you work it!

I want to give a big thank you to Kyle, Carson, Jay and every member that has helped me along the way!

Have a wonderful day and never give up!

#46 – MozMary – Who says content marketing is slow? $125 commissions on a new site

Date: Apr 21, 2018

WA member since Sep 2014

Summary:

I had told you guys about my post that got ranked on page 1 inside two hours on a new site a couple of months back, just with the basic training here at Wealthy Affiliate

It was a review of an event already underway, so I was way late, they usually have a launch and big campaign advertising these things weeks ahead to their email lists but I had a new site and no list and I thought I’d go through the motions anyway to build up content not expecting much, certainly not expecting to outrank the organizers inside two hours on page 1 with my new site – however I’d seen someone else here at WA do it before – but there was no stampede visible in analytics and when the host emailed us to go claim our commissions I didn’t even look! Until tonight!

– I just found out that even at the end of that event I got 3 optins and at least one person immediately bought the gold package at almost $250 leaving me with 50% commissions of $125!

This is the second time I’ve advertised an event late, towards the end actually and got people buying gold packages, the other time was on facebook. I always think maybe it’s too late, should I even bother, duh! And then it surprised me they don’t go for the lower priced packages, it’s usualy the higher priced ones. Another surprise is the people buying are not exactly who I thought my website audience were!

However, it shows the amazing potential of this game, erm, biz. Of course this is one sale and as such ‘pocket money’ but the sort of pocket money that can cover your hosting and membership pretty quickly as we work consistently on our sites over time and scale up to an income.

We are playing a long game building up sites, it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme but a real business if you want to see a real income. That said, on a bright and cheerful note anything really can happen! ?

Mary

ps I’m using a free theme and free everything at the moment. And google tends to reward my original content – I don’t copy, and I do know my niche, both these things Kyle emphasizes in the training.

#47 – ramccracken – What WA has done for me in the first 6 months and how to make it work

Date: Jan 09, 2014

WA member since June 2013

Summary:

I have experienced great success with WA by working a great program, WA, having support from my family, and staying determined to succeed. I wanted to share what I have achieved and some key points to my success to encourage others to make it happen. See where you want to be and make it happen.

When I started I had a lot of doubts and after month one, two, and three I had barely made a few cents and a lot of friends thought I was wasting my time and living in a dream world. Let me tell you that with WA and some great friends I’ve made along the way my dream world is becoming a reality.

My goals where to keep from my wife from going back to work after my son was born……. reality now. She gets to stay at home and raise our son which was a dream of ours so our kids would never be without one of us by their side.

The Car of my Dreams. Just bought it yesterday…….. reality

Quitting my job and doing IM fulltime…. Still working on it. I’d rather pay my house and cars off before I quit, but it’s a 3 year plan.

You have the tools you only need to pick them up and use them. Thanks WA, Kyle, and Carson.

#48 – StefanC – $1000 mo – How life would be like without my online business?

Date: Mar 30, 2018

WA member since June 2015

Summary:

I started my bootcamp site back in 2015 and have since written 361 articles!

Although I haven’t quit my job yet, I can tell you that the passive income has positively impacted my life.

Without my online business, I could not…

  • Have traveled to Marocco, France, Brazil, Greece and still be able to save money in 2017.
  • Afford to work 30 hours per week earning the minimum wage.
  • Have plans of quitting my job in 2019 and do a gap year.
  • Dream about a flexible lifestyle and being my own boss.

March is almost over, and I have made over $1,000 in affiliate commissions and Adsense revenue combined. That was the first time I made 4 figures without the help of the WA black Friday offer. The best part? I was on holiday in Brazil for 4 weeks!

I promised to my parents I would stay with them for 2 months next year. But I can only do that if I quit my job. So I will do my best to achieve the income level I need to live on my own terms.

It feels great to look back and see how much I learned and accomplished… Imagine if I had given up after the first 6 months?

I hope this post motivates you to reach your goals too!

I started from scratch, probably just like you, without even knowing what hosting was. Also, English is not my first language, so I keep making mistakes and learning from them.

I just followed the Bootcamp and focused 95% on reviews. That was my strategy, and there is no secret about it.

There are many other profitable niches and strategies to make money online. But you have to focus on only one until you hit your main goals. That’s what I am doing.

Work hard, keep learning, never give up on your DREAMS!

I wish you all a happy Easter! ?

#49 – IveTriedThat – The true measure of success

Date: Apr 06, 2016

WA member since Apr 2009

Summary:

I’m often asked “Steve, how much money do you make per month?” Quite often, in fact. Maybe a little too often.

I hate this question because A. It’s fairly rude! and B. Income “proof” is easily faked.

Instead, what I like to share are my photos from trips we’ve taken around the world. These can’t be faked and it does prove that I’m able to live the lifestyle I often talk about.

We recently just got back from a long trip. Amanda and I spent most of March in Los Angeles and Hawaii on the Big Island and Maui. I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from the trip.

The first few days were spent around LA. We got to see some interesting sights around Venice Beach…

And the Santa Monica Pier..

Before heading to the Big Island to see the still active volcano…

And then we were off to Maui. If you’ve read any of my posts in the past, you’ll know I have an unhealthy obsession with taking whale tours.

It’s also not Hawaii without a few waterfalls…

And honestly, nothing beats a Maui sunset.

#50 – Shawn Martin – Bringing the wife home, a real WA success story

Date: June 25, 2015

WA member since Apr 2012

Summary:

I started here at WA deeply in debt and sick of traveling playing music and I desperately needed a break. My health was failing and life on the road was killing me.

I have been a professional musician my whole adult life, but the lifestyle was too much for my aging body and mind to handle any longer.

It started out rough, and after 6 months I found myself earning 6 cents total and in a niche that was so broad I really did not have a chance.

Some dear members here were honest and ruthless in their guidance and kept insisting that I could do this, and they helped me find my first productive niche.

Within 30 days of choosing a workable niche, I had earned $1400.00 and I have really not looked back.

I do not want to go into what I did and what I learned and such, as I share this knowledge daily in the form of helping members as I was helped when I was starting out. I will give some pointers at the end of this blog that I follow daily.

What I do want to tell everyone is that success is possible for all of you, as long as you ask for help and follow Kyles training to the letter.

When I came here I had basic computer knowledge and a basic idea of how the net works, but that was about it.

I had zero marketing experience.

I now do this full time from home, have paid over 35 K in hospital bills, I have tripled my income every year, and I am just getting started.

I host 2 active sites here at WA, one is very productive and the other is still an infant. My other sites are hosted elsewhere and I keep them completely out of WA for many personal reasons, but they were built and became successful because of what i have learned here at WA.

#51 – RushingBee – WA Got me a Job Today!

Date: Mar 04, 2016

WA member since June 2015

Summary: Today I was accepted for the position of Blog Editor for a large website. It seems like a perfect fit for me, and I am over-the-moon excited to get started! Six months ago, though, I would not have been able to do this job. Heck, I would not have even been able to apply! The job requirements include all of the following: The only reason I know how to do ANY of these things is because of WA! If I had attempted the test assignment they had me do without the knowledge I’ve gained here, I would have been so baffled! But because I was familiar with all of it already, it was a breeze! I got 90% correct on the first try. I even gave you guys a shout-out in my application letter, which probably didn’t hurt my chances… ?

I am also enrolled in a course for online business, where I am actively learning WordPress and keyword research for SEO, along with other related topics. I have the benefit of all the course resources as well as their knowledgeable community.

You never know where this training will take you!

These skills are invaluable in so many different areas. Even if you find that Affiliate Marketing may not be 100% right for you, keep learning. Don’t give up. There are so many opportunities that can arise as a result of this training.

#52 – affilicoach – You Made Vegas – 2016

Date: June 09, 2016

WA member since Aug 2013

Summary: Boy has time flown since I posted on my WA blog last. The last time I posted was when I made Vegas last year – 2015, and although I couldn’t attend, looks like those who did, had a great time and learned a lot. I had been waking up the last few days noticing how close I was getting to single digits on the airplane icon.

And when I woke up this morning, I saw this. Congrats, you have made Vegas! Yep, the airplane turns into a car. Here’s a fun fact. If you look at my previous post, you’ll see that I made Vegas around about the same time last year. Which is cool … or maybe … uncool, depending on how you look at it. ? I was actually aiming to make Vegas earlier this year, only problem is, I didn’t do the necessary work to make it happen.

Summary: Rarely do I post blogs about how much I make from my affiliate efforts. I think I may have done this only two times before within the 5 years I have been a member. However this brief post will be such a blog and I am posting this because of a compliment I received that made me feel GREAT.

Lately I have been doing some freelance work for a local company who had a website but wanted one with SEO content. Their existing website was not getting any traffic. So I applied what I have learned here at WA and the owner of the company has been praising my work.

I realize it is hard to read so I will state them below with a bit more information.

The deposit at the top dated Sept. 22, 2018 is in the amount of $1,315.94 USD. This is the second and final payment for a WordPress website I created with SEO content for a local company.

The next depost down dated Sept. 9, 2018 is in the amount of $1,305.66 USD. This is the first payment for a WordPress website I created with SEO content for the same local company as above.

The third deposit below is a PayPal transfer dated Sept. 6, 2018 in the amount of $431.36 USD. This is a combination of commissions from the WA Affiliate Program and WBI Drop Shipping Training Affiliate Program for the month of August 2018.

The bottom deposit is another PayPal transfer dated Sept. 4, 2018 in the amount of $53.00 USD. This is a 10% commission from $530.00 in sales from my CBD Hemp Oil Affiliate Program for the month of August 2018. This commission was made without a website in this niche.

TOTAL EARNED IN SEPT. 2018 IS $3,105.96 USD

Man, $69 shy of my next goal $5,000/month but I’m going to chalk this off as hitting it as my next income report won’t be til 5 figures.

August ends my 2 year mark for my website, so this is a good time to pause until I hit my next goal.

I have no clue what I need to do to achieve 5 figures, but I do have some loose ideas in mind that I’ll be working on remainder of this year.

Majority of my income comes from WA’s affiliate program as most of you know, but I still get questions wondering about this so I’ll mention this now.

Here are my stats for August:

Number of Referrals: 706 (record)

Number of New Sales: 61 (25% decrease), though last Aug/17 also took a dive but this conversion rate is more inline with what I usually get with this kind of MMO traffic.

Number of Recurring sales: 91 (42% increase & record) July had 64, last record.

Number of Yearly sales: 4 (1 less than July)

My new sales number is usually higher than my recurring sales, except for 2 month but wasn’t much higher than new sales.

To have 30 more recurring sales than new sales, that’s incredible! I was also surprised that I was able to get 4 yearly sales in Aug as well.

My August payment is here (will not coincide with my earnings for those who are new to my reporting, actual payouts differ than when income is earned):

#56 – JohnMks – $3,700+ in 1 day from Affiliate Earnings

Date: Jan 30, 2019

WA member since May 2015

Summary:

The journey continues… Hey there guys, just wanted to make this quick blog post as the last one got so much positive feedback. Hopefully, this one will work as inspiration as well for newbies, and for those still struggeling to make their firs sales, or to make consistent sales.

For those of you who are about to give up, and for those of you who think you will never make it…

I remember how it was in the beginning… It actually took me 7 months before I made any money at all when I first started out here…

Anyway… I promised you to make a new one when I broke my previous record, and to be honest… this is actually not a record breaker, as it is from 2 commissions combined, however, for the fun of it we can call it the record breaker ;o) As they came on the same day :o)

So, below you got them:

Worth to mention is that today I have made 2 reccurring monthly sales from WA so that is an additional $47 plus I have made $37 + $29 from to other affiliate sources so the total amount for today is close to $4,000…

Of course, every day is not like this… yet ;o)

#57 – Miren – Does WA really work? See the birthday present I made to myself!

Date: Feb 02, 2019

WA member since Mar 2016

Summary:

I thought I would share this with you because today it’s a special day to me.

Like many of you know, today is payday for all of those who are active recommending this awesome platform, so I imagine how excited those who have got paid their commissions are.

For me, it’s not been a normal payday, it’s also been my 23rd birthday! So it’s been the most exciting day of my year so far!

There are many things that I’m grateful for. I’m grateful to have been able to spend this day with my family, I’m grateful to exist and I’m also grateful to have the chance to work on my goals.

I’m not gonna lie, not everyday I smile like that. Sometimes I have a hard time focusing and letting go of past mistakes. I usually remember what I did wrong last year and I tend to overthink the reasons why I didn’t achieve the goals I had. For example, there’s no day that I don’t think about why I did not make it to the Vegas conference and I easily start feeling like a failure. But I guess it’s all good as long as I don’t stop trying.

Low conversion rates, lack of belief, limiting beliefs about money, my anxiety… It all plays a part. Those of you who also struggle with this, I hear you. You are not alone. If someone like me can make an income online, you can too. You can win the battle. Don’t let anything or anyone discourage you.

The training and tools on this platform work, even for those of us who are not in our best state.

#58 – Debs66 – $3,875 for the month of January. Life just got better again all down to Wealthy Affiliate

Date: Feb 05, 2019

WA member since Nov 2016

Summary:

Hi, Wealthy Affiliate family,

I just wanted to give you all an update on what is happening in my Wealthy Affiliate world. Last month has been quite a roller coaster ride. (This month has surpassed all my expectations even more so and it’s just beginning.)

After the local business listing I was working with came to a close as the Parking Spaces is now been turned into a big shopping center. I wasn’t sure what path I would take next. I had a few cards up my sleeves but things have taken a complete turn for me.

I have now been asked to work for two different companies doing exactly what I did before with Parking Spaces London. They are both parking lots. One is underground in Canary wharf and the other is located in Strattford near the Olympic village. I will do the same as I did before.

If you think Wealthy Affiliate doesn’t work. Well think again because it does. If I did it so can you.

If it doesn’t work it’s because you don’t want to put in the work to achieve anything. It’s as simple as that. You want the riches overnight without doing any work. Forget it and go and buy a lottery ticket then. You will never achieve anything thinking like that. You need to work at this and work hard you will.

Take it from me a none tech savvy total ditsy in the beginning. From a broke down trodden Mom to being my own boss and earning an excellent living. Those hours I put in fly by so fast because I love everything I do. (I just need more hours lol.)

WA Complaints

Remember what I’ve mentioned in the beginning?

There are also people that hate WA for their own reasons and do anything they can to change things for their own good…

Complaints

Although the positive Wealthy Affiliate reviews are countless, not everyone is satisfied with a program. I dig the net to spot negative WA reviews and complaints.

I am commenting and responding to each and every one of them.

Additionally I provide other WA members responses to the common complaints so you better understand what is going on!

Craig – Crajun.com – Oct 2014 – The problem with Wealthy Affiliate

Craig’s Key Points:

Don’t promote Wealthy Affiliate.

Sign up for a free trial, engage with the community and learn what you can before your access expires, but DO NOT GO PREMIUM.

They are selling a fantasy built on a dying business model which serves only to benefit (you guessed it…) the founders of Wealthy Affiliate.

You can glean some value from the trial, but do not invest in their training and by all means do not even consider building out any sites using their proprietary services.

They make it sound very easy

90% of the people in WA will make next to no money in affiliate marketing and will give up

There are some highly motivated and disciplined individuals who could utilize the membership training and community resource to build a profitable businesses

The main sales page is a bit misleading in that I feel it grossly oversimplifies the process of establishing a profitable site, and it nowhere near emphasizes just how much work will be involved

No newcomer in affiliate marketing should pursue a niche solely based on the prospect of money-making. To be successful, you must pursue a niche that you’re passionate about.

Don’t be a soulless Wealthy Affiliate pie-in-the-sky zombie slave who tries to start a business by promoting something you know very little about and have yet to see success with yourself.

Wealthy Affiliate has an install wizard which can technically have your site themed and online within seconds, but that is just the beginning.

It is going to take you weeks and weeks of online training, loads of content creation and endless tinkering before you’ll have a legitimate web presence.

There is no misinformation outlined in this step, but so much about the process of building an internet marketing site is left out. It’s not dishonest, but it is deceiving

If rankings were easy to obtain, everyone would be doing this, am I right..?! No way anyone new to IM is going to learn even a smidgen of what they need to know through those first few lessons. I’ve gone through the lessons. I know.

You’re only seconds away from starting a business…

This is true. Within seconds you could have access to the training and website launcher that will allow you to start a business, but you are months and months (and more likely…years) away from making any money.

Is WA legit? Yes, but a cautioned yes.

Do I recommend it? It depends. If you go into it with realistic expectations and are aware of the sacrifices and suffering involved with being successful as an affiliate marketer, then WA can provide you with an easy to follow – albeit very basic – roadmap.

I have no intention of promoting their product, but I did feel compelled to update this post so that others may think twice before committing to the premium membership. Based on this business practice, Wealthy Affiliate is now on my avoid list.

Wealthy Affiliate is milking a dying business model and I’m willing to bet they are not providing additional value or evolving their ‘curriculum’ to adapt to the ever-changing rules of internet search.

My Point of View:

As I have already mentioned at the beginning, not everyone is satisfied with a program. Craig says on his website that he’s a web developer, blogger and internet marketer with experience. I don’t know how experienced he is and I don’t I know when he joined WA, either. But that article is dated back in October 2014.

I joined WA in late December 2014, a few months after this article was published.

I don’t know what kind of education Craig received at that time, but I know what education I received. And with the help of WA’s education modules, I was able to build a successful online business that only continues to grow. Maybe I’m one of those who Craig names highly motivated or disciplined individuals.

Craig also mentions that 90% of people will fail in affiliate marketing. I agree, and I expand on this statement. 90% of all people will fail in every job, in any business model, no matter what. People give up easily, and no business in the world can make you rich overnight unless you sell drugs or guns.

Craig says WA make it sound easy, referring to their sales page. We are both internet marketers, and we know that all the companies out there advertise their products and services the most appealing way.

This is what a sales page means to do. To make it sound easy, or at least easier than it actually is.

But WA does not promise that when you join you’ll be successful. They clearly state that you have to put in the work and that it takes a lot of time before you see any results.

And of course, we should not judge a book by its cover. We should read it carefully till the end before we make any assumptions.

WA offers a comprehensive training for newcomers and experienced marketers. I agree with Craig, the main training modules cover only the basics of the internet marketing world.

But there are the training classrooms and the live video classes where Jay Neill offer valuable insights into ‘Hot’ marketing topics. Just by attending Jay Neill’s sessions I was able to get my site ranked in the search engines in the most competitive niche of the market, I was able to build a following on social media, I built a mailing list, and on top of that I was able to build an offline presence, taking my knowledge out to the local market, helping small businesses and startups get found online.

And Jay Neill’s video sessions are a goldmine of information that can’t be found easily on the net.

There he presents full website case studies, where he build niche sites from start to finish, and not just once. There are multiple similar video lessons. These video lessons last a month and are an over Jay’s shoulders demonstration. I don’t know any other company that does this. He shares all his secrets, methods, and strategies so that WA members can “Steal” information in order to build their successful niche sites.

I don’t know if the classrooms or the live video classes were available when Craig was a WA member.

Success is hard, no matter what kind of business you’re in, no matter what you’re promoting or selling. With dedication and hard work, anything can be accomplished.

WA is constantly evolving, at least since I joined. They always add new education modules to follow the latest trends and search engines regulations. I could not wait for anything more.

I respect Craig’s opinion, I agree with him on many points, particularly where Craig mentions no one should get involved with a making money online niche at the beginning of their career (which I already underlined in many of my WA pages).

But one thing is for sure. I own my online success to this powerful community like thousands of other entrepreneurs. I’m very sorry that WA did not work out for Craig so well.

MeLTruthTeller – RipOffReport.com – Mar 2014 – a Real Review of these Cons

MeLTruthTeller Main Points:

They are a very clever marketing company and are everything they say they’re not. Beware, and please read. They are smarter than most, which is why they have so many followers. They claim to have the key to training a person on how to successfully create their own lucrative work-from-home blog sites. They do claim to be a lot of work, require a lot of patience, blah blah swoon. You almost had me.

I was told by Nathaniell, on a pretty good site that I thought was legitimate, that I could enhance my existing site by adding marketing for products related to my already niche field of Kitchen Design, and get paid for it! Silly me! I thought it was somewhat curious that I could go to a company like Design Within Reach, and ask them if I could market for them, and have them pay me. I didn’t see how this could work. There was some kind of program partnership that wasn’t fully explained. So after much resistance, I signed up with a backup email to try it out for 7 days, and see if I could learn as much as I could

I had my “Write Access Revoked by Admin” almost immediately by Kyle, one of the ‘founders’, eh. It turns out that a lot of the first training courses had to do with setting up a site, blah blah I already have one. So I wanted to get right to the juice of it, because I’m trying to see if this is legit, so amuse me, OK?

I repeatedly asked, in the general forum, for help on finding out how to do what I was led there to do. I had NO interest in creating a WordPress blog page that would promote Wealthy Affiliates. And yet, this was all they seemed to cover. I kept asking questions and received several responses to just go through the training

Kyle HIMSELF made a rude comment to me. This girl suggested that I watch the Alphabet Soup section of the training, that it would help. I said this was for keyword help, and I don’t need that. Kyle said that if I didn’t know what keywords were for, then I had no business being on the internet. Excuse me??? I was simply stating that SHE did not understand, and led me somewhere I ALREADY KNEW ABOUT. He was rude. And within seconds revoked my ability to respond with his powerful finger

He didn’t want me to write, but I just felt the need. So, here I am. No, I wasn’t dumb enough to pay for it, but it seems that, unless you want to be a Wealthy Affiliate robot you are not welcome, and will be coaxed VERY tenderly into paying for it

The ONLY way you will make money is by creating a ‘practice’ blog page (which becomes your sole purpose) that markets your affiliation with Wealthy Affiliates!

Brainwashing SCAM Unless you want to be a robot and lose all your friends, then enjoy. Thanks Kyle. ?

My Point of View:

The reviewer obviously failed to comprehend the basic process of affiliate marketing. Instead of following Nathaniel’s advice and going through the WA training in order to understand how to promote the existing Kitchen Design business he/she had, started questioning the forum.

It would be very easy to research and spot the training he/she wanted alone. You just skip from page to page until you find what you’re looking for.

Without a proper keyword training, as Kyle suggested him/her, any online business can fall apart.

The rest of the dispute is far from reality. WA is not suggesting their members to promote WA, this is totally optional. WA teaches people how to build sites in any niche of the market.

Apparently, the reviewer got angry for having his/her writing WA rights revoked, and proceeded with this report.

Former WA member (Canada) – RipOffReport.com – Jan 2018 – WA was sued, and lost…

Former WA member (Canada) Main Points:

The former member discusses a case where MOBE sued WA for slander. MOBE is an MLM company, a competitor of WA, offering extremely expensive internet marketing education.

Yeah, you sure can as long as you don’t mind being manipulative, lying, and bashing programs and people you’ve never tried. In fact, I’ll give you Carson’s and Kyle’s 3 quick tips to success.

  1. Create a “Scam Warnings” or “Scam Reviews” Website
  2. Create false and slanderous reviews of Wealthy Affiliates Competition
  3. Compare that program (even if you’ve never tried it) to Wealthy Affiliate, and make sure you promote WA as your “#1 Recommendation”
  4. Profit!

My Point of View:

I was not expecting a former member of WA to discuss this lawsuit between 2 competing companies. I would expect someone from MOBE to do that.

The 2nd part of the message is far away from reality. Nowhere in the WA training is mentioned anything like that. If there are people creating false reviews this is totally unrelated to the training. The WA training is suggesting members create personal reviews in order to get rankings in the search engines.

I don’t believe he/she was a former member of WA, I tend to believe is a WA competitor behind this review.

Solo Build It – RipOffReport.com – Oct 2017 – Beware fake rebuttals like the one from “Felicia”

Solo Build It Main Points:

WA never includes real proof of success by its users. There is almost none, as proven in this study…

You’ll note that no WA employee or user ever wants to talk about REAL results. They stick to general claims which cannot be checked.

That’s why every Wealthy Affiliate user who rebuts NEVER wants to talk about the results of the study that we did comparing SBI! vs Wealthy Affiliate review. Instead, they’ll say something like, “Well they are biased, so what do you expect!”

I’d be very surprised if WA itself, and others who earn a great deal of income from WA (by misleading solopreneurs using fake reviews of SBI!, bait-and-switching readers over to WA as their “#1 recommendation”), have not actually repeated that study. They would just naturally want to to try and disprove it.

And it’s results that matter.

(The results, by the way show that SBI! is 33 times (33X) more likely to generate high traffic sites. And 87% of WA sites are “Invisible.” See the study for the whole story…

Bottom Line: There’s not much to love about WA if you love high-traffic results, especially when there is so much at stake – the fee, your time and most importantly, your hopes and future

Don’t believe the words – insist on verifiable proof of success instead of yet more claims that can’t be checked.

With warm regards from the SiteSell.com staff

My Point of View:

This review comes as a surprise. I would never expect the Solo Build It staff to talk about WA in such a misleading way. I followed the link to the SBI article mentioned there, to find out that SBI made a review of WA gathering statistics and data where they claim that WA members accused SBI with fake reviews. And that SBI users are more likely to experience online success than WA members.

Too bad, because SBI is a company that I already promote in 2 of my articles/lists.

There are WA members that are SBI members as well. I have discussed in the past with SBI/WA members on the WA forum and everyone was talking positively about SBI. Some of them are pointing SBI as one of the TOP affiliate marketing destinations, and WA as well. This is why this review comes as a huge surprise.

Too bad the SBI staff is using the RipOffReport site to accuse WA. They already published a WA review for that matter. These actions are not helping the industry grow.

I feel disappointed from SBI, I’ll be thinking seriously to remove SBI from my articles.

And finally, as an answer to the SBI claims about WA members only sharing unverifiable proofs of success I refer you to the article…

WA Success Stories (a continuously updated thread)

and this one

5 Wonderful Websites Created by WA members

Mike and the SiteSell team – RipOffReport.com – Nov 2017 – WA loses lawsuit over fake reviews

Mike and the SiteSell team Main Points:

Another surprise from the SBI (Solo Build It) team again. Mike from SiteSell is referring to the lawsuit mentioned above, MOBE vs WA. He says that MOBE was victimized just like SBI.

My Point of View:

I won’t add much to this review. I would not expect SBI to testify 2 times against WA on the RipOffReport site. It seems the SBI staff’s only concern is WA.

SoloBuildIt – RipOffReport.com – Sep 2017 – Beware fake rebuttals such as “Jeff’s”

Solo Build It Main Points:

SBI is accusing WA again, this is the 3rd time on the same website.

My Point of View:

I won’t add much to this review. It’s now obvious the SBI staff’s only concern is WA.

SoloBuildIt – RipOffReport.com – Jun 2017 – How to avoid “make Money” scams and WA claims and fake reviews

Solo Build It Main Points:

SBI is accusing WA again, this is the 4th time on the same website.

My Point of View:

It’s getting ridiculous. A competitor of WA is accusing WA on an external website for the 4th time, it’s getting clear now.

Avera – RipOffReport.com – Jul 2015 – I see through a lot of it too

Avera Main Points:

I also see that they are very heavy on people just re-adding for them (WA) and I see that most sites created by WA members are bland repeat-a-phones about personal health & well-being including of course working on your hobby and making money from it through ads for WA. and affiliate sales. My site was about recovering from smoking addictions through my own phone coaching (and knowledge of addictions), and after 3 months and no clients I passed out some real business cards and then cancelled my sub to WA and then discovered that I could not get back into WA even though I still have paid membership time left…and also discovered that even though the site will still show up for 30 more days, without being able to get into the administration area, I’m not sure I can even transfer the site to another host and domain name. I feel as if my intellectual property might be in the process of being stolen.

I was supposed to be able to get back into WA if I mistakenly cancelled the membership and that seemingly turns out not to be true. I can’t get another “free” trial either so there’s no way to get back in at all. My old PW is not being honored and I can’t get a new one cause the email isn’t being honored with a pw change request.

There doesn’t seem to be a customer service phone number, or snail mail address from what I have seen on the internet…I hope I’m wrong about this.

On WA coaching material there is no separate indexing of the “lessons”.  A point missed can be found again but not by going through any master index which would be crossreferencing ideas & locations…thus depriving us of a a way to get back to where ideas are first presented in the training. Without that we are forced to stumble through videos again and again which is very frustrating & time consuming activity or we must ask people instead. This flaw in the training presentation makes me wonder if the clumsier and slower learning which might result…is as “rewarding” to the CEO (in the form of longer lasting subscriptions) as is is “punishing” to the member?

I don’t mind looking repeatedly at mateial I already understand if it is to further boost such understanding. But I do mind being forced to look at inappropriate material when I can’t get my original questions answered on my own and then have to ask people who often don’t know what you mean.

So I am pretty disappointed with WA in spite of all the spectacular success they think they are making somehow more possible for the “rest” of us.  I also know if I start pointing out that WA is no alternative to the flaws of capitalism and enforced economic unequality, I would get in more trouble than I am willing to play with now.

My Point of View:

Avera says she canceled her WA membership but at the same time, she had paid membership remaining time. And that the training was not indexed well so that she could find the lessons she needed without any delay.

No serious accusations here, just a non-satisfied individual.

Obviously, such a review does not belong to a site called RipOffReport.

virgo48 – RipOffReport.com – May 2014 – Writing privilege revoked without any warning

virgo48 Main Points:

On this past Memorial Day, I had my write access revoked without any warning or reason during a “Live Chat” session. The only “offense” I can even remotely think of is a hypothetical question I made about this countfy that some patriotic zealot couldn’t even stand see written. Well, throudh today I have not had the privilege given back despite the following statement written by Mr. Lim:  “Nonetheless, I can grant you write access back if you are interested Craig. Let me know.”

Obviouly, neither co-founders can be trusted. What I really object to is that they are intent on charging me for a “Premium Membership” even after cutting off ANY means I have to communicate with them. It is very interesting and revealing to note that the City of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada, was informed that the company was operating widhout a Business License back in 2012 and that all attempts by the Victoria BBB to contact the company by mail wers returned as undeliverable.

This is NOT a legitimate internet marketing company and I want to go on record about this. Thank you

My Point of View:

The user had write access revoked because of something said to the live chat area, is this really a reason for accusing a company of a Rip-Off?

RipOffReport.com – Summary/Positive Responses

Summary:

There are 8 in total negative reviews about WA on the RipOffReport site. 4 of them belong to SBI, a competitor of WA, and 2 of them refer to the MOBE vs WA lawsuit, again, a fight between competing companies.

The others are just whining from a few members that were not satisfied with the free or paid membership, and some of them belong to people that already know everything about online marketing, so they would not need WA services one way or another.

Another user’s complaint was the fact that WA revoked his/her write access. Obviously not a reason to justify a review on a site called RipOffReport.

One of the negative reviewers, Avera, returned back to the RipOff site to change her final answer. She realized her mistake after all the positive responses and that means a lot.

Answers to the WA bad reviews on the same site:

This comes as a pleasant surprise, to find out people responding to these fake claims on RipOffReport. There are more positive responses (13 in total) than these 8 bad reviews.

This is the final answer and the conclusion. Because these people owe their online success to WA, just like me. And they responded to clear things up. It’s really annoying seeing a company that helped you create a business being accused in such a misleading way.

Positive responses topic titles:

  • The other side: by Nathaniell, Jul 2014
  • You are mad due to your faults and failure: by Layla Copla, Aug 2014
  • WA a real review of this report: by Rich Far, Oct 2014
  • Positive side of WA: by Jeff Burch, Dec 2014
  • Blah blah blah: by anonymous, Apr 2015
  • WA, this is what convinced me to try them: by Beverly Smith, Sep 2015
  • What this guy sounds like: by Roy, Apr 2016
  • How odd: by Gretchen, Jul 2016
  • How you are wrong in your report: by MusicMan64, Sep 2016
  • None of this is a scam: by Lauren, Jan 2017
  • It’s free, so try it: by Jeff, Aug 2017
  • I work for WA: by Felicia, Oct 2017

And finally:

  • Um, this is a positive update, not another rebuttal: by Avera Jul 2015

Avera is the person who wrote a negative review, earlier on. Her response to her review is this:

I entered the wrong email to get back into the account so of course I was rejected, When I corected that I was allowed in. So I can’t accuse WA of locking me out because they didn’t.

I also wish I could have augmented or changed my previous critique of WA. The index is not fixed but answers depends on the question you submit, and I suppose WA would say it is equivalent. Actually I found a valuable training video after putting in a question, just after getting back in.

And maybe Kyle has blocked me, and maybe not. Don’t know why he would but at any rate sorry I mentioned it.

The above remarks are amendments to my previous remarks. WA is not a rip off, just another shrewd business providing opportunities for people to test (or prove) one’s own business generating skills….

Avera

Bottom line:

WA can not rip-off anyone. Why? the membership is either free or you have to pay around $47 per month. And anyone can cancel their membership at any time. How can someone get ripped off by $47 for a 30 days period? Is $1.5 per day a rip-off?

Is $1.5 per day too much for…

  • 50 Hosting slots (WordPress Websites)
  • Website builder
  • Keyword and niche market research suite
  • SSL encryption for 25 websites
  • 24/7 tech support
  • The SitePlatform: comments, domains, feedback, real support from the owners
  • Management, monitoring, and link tracking tools
  • SiteSpeed, fast loading websites
  • SiteContent: writing and blogging platform, image finder
  • Forum: thousands of blogs, trainings, tutorials from WA members
  • Live chat with thousands of entrepreneurs
  • Affiliate and online marketing training: main training 9 modules (90 lessons+), 13 interactive classrooms, weekly live webinars on ‘Hot’ marketing topics, plus the video classes archive (over 400 videos) on everything that has to do with online marketing, scaling businesses, getting rankings in the search engines using ethical methods, creating local and advertising agencies, social media, and more.

If you really had access to these very tools and training for $1.5 per day would it feel like a rip-off? Even if these services were bad!

I want your honest response, please

WA is a free to try program, unlike the vast majority of other platforms. So, you have nothing to lose in trying them out. This way, you can experience the truth about WA all on your own.

Marcus – EarnMoneyWithMarcus.com – Nov 2017 – I lost my WA write access

Marcus Main Points:

I can still read anything posted on Wealthy Affiliate, and I can still receive private messages, but if I try to comment or reply to anything, I get the same message.

Even if I try to submit a technical support ticket about my website I get a message saying “Your hosting ticket privileges have been revoked by admin. You may not post a hosting ticket at this time.”

So, I’m completely locked out from communicating with anyone on there.

It happened after I posted a link on Wealthy Affiliate to an external website containing some additional training. I was genuinely just trying to help someone who was struggling, but I quickly realised that it was a stupid mistake and clearly against the rules.

I sent a message via the “Contact Us” form on the WA website asking to have my write access back

…and quickly got a reply saying I would get my write access back. But I didn’t get it back, and all further messages went ignored

Towards the end of 2016 and into 2017 I started to move away from my approach of just saying everything else was a scam and saying that Wealthy Affiliate is #1.

But then I went further in that direction. I made a decision that I wanted to be 100% completely honest from now on. This meant that I started buying products to review them, rather than just writing reviews based on my impressions of the sales pages and what I had read in other people’s reviews

Okay, I know the bootcamp course doesn’t actually explicitly state that members should write reviews without trying the products, but inevitably that’s what tends to happen. The vast majority of newbies simply cannot possibly afford to buy every product they review (they would quickly get into debt if they did), so they have to write the reviews without trying the products

…Then Marcus is giving a short background on how he got started online, and he refers to the SBI study mentioned above, the one I discovered through the RipOffReport review. And then he highlights things he likes and dislikes about WA.

Likes:

  • Super easy to get started, great step-by-step training, have learned a lot

Dislikes:

  • No company details, active community, experimenta niche advice, WA name is misleading, too easy to make websites, they provide too much in one place, discussion of other money making methods seems to be discouraged, negativity is suppressed, WA bootcamp is a newbie trap, they can dish it out but they can’t take it

His conclusion:

Since I lost my Wealthy Affiliate write access probably due to being too honest about how WA hadn’t actually made me wealthy from affiliate marketing, I have moved all my websites out of WA to separate hosting. I have also decided to step away from affiliate marketing and SEO, at least for a while. I may return to it again at a later date, once I have tried other things for a while.

My Point of View:

This article surprised me. Because I know Marcus and we have discussed in the past using the WA live chat. He runs a website in the same niche with me. He was a very active member of the community, publishing trainings and blog posts on a regular basis.

I can’t judge WA’s decision to revoke Marcus’ writing access. Every company has its own terms and conditions.

It seems that Affiliate Marketing did not work out well for Marcus, but we have to underline here that Marcus niche (Making Money Online) is the most competitive niche of all. This is the reason I recommend all newcomers stay away from this niche, at least at the beginning of their online journey.

To mention here that the WA training is mainly about affiliate marketing, and not other money making methods, but this is clearly stated even on the WA homepage.

I left a comment on his website wishing him all the best for the future.

Former WA member/Singapore – RipOffReport.com – Apr 2018 – Charging a renewal fee although the account was de-activated

Former WA member Main Points:

Wealthy Affiliate a Fraud. Premium member who signed on for a year do has to beware if you have decided to terminate your contract after a year. By deactivating your account from automatic renewal, doesn’t mean that your contract with them has stop. I did that and yet it got through and was billed by PayPal for that amount. Thinking that PayPal will rectify that…think again! My advise for u is to take a screenshot of that deactivation done by you on their site, should you decide to make a claim against them… By the way if you were to confront WA regarding the renewal payment, they will even block you from accessing from then on… You will then ended up not being able to access your account and having to pay for another year…   That was what happened to me..! Former Wealthy Affiliate Member

My Point of View:

The WA subscription system is paid on a recurring basis and PayPal re-charges your account every year or month depending on the contract. All users should deactivate the recurring billing option within their PayPal accounts to ensure they won’t get charged

Rita/USA – RipOffReport.com – Mar 2018 – freezing my account, demanding more cash

Rita’s Main Points:

They ripped me off by promising me it was free to sign up and to try their trial for only $19 premium membership. After that we didn’t have to keep our premium membership. My membership was over & they are forcing me to pay $49/month for premium membership. I’ve paid for a domain for a year & no access to my domain. They are some big time scammers. When things are too good to be true. Rrrrruuuuunnnn! Away. They give you empty promises. No contact number. They didn’t solve my problem after I told them I don’t need membership for premium. Find these crooks. It was December 2017.

My Point of View:

WA clearly states that the premium monthly membership costs $19 for the 1st month only and then $49 for every month thereafter. If a user cancels then WA is offering a grace period of 30 days to transfer any sites and domains to other hosting providers. I know a lot of people that moved some of their sites to other hosting providers with no probkems whatsoever.

Mac/Canada – RipOffReport.com – Dec 2017 – Cancelled my membership

Mac’s Main Points:

I asked WA not to renew my membership that was coming up on Nov. 29th. Instead they cancelled my membership on Nov.26 not allowing me to transfer my website. When I asked them why they cancelled my membership primaturely they replied that I can renew my subscription to get access. I still had 3 days left before my membership expired. These people are very unethical in the way they run their business. I  would stay away from WA.

They have an annual retreat rewarding the member, who as an affiliate, is able to sign up a minimum of 100 mew members on a annual basis. With thousands of members they are only able to fill a large boardroom with qualifying members. Their success record is dismal to say the least.

Their reviews are another unethical practice that WA has become very good at exploiting. They knock SBI,MLM and anyone that will help the affiliatemake a sale. If you are looking to build a business on the internet it will not happen with WA

My Point of View:

Any user can cancel his/her membership using the button in their profile settings. The rewarding system of WA has nothing to do with the user’s problem. Again, this user claims an “Imaginary” repeated scenario as I can see, that the WA training suggest members to write unethical reviews. Nowhere in the training is mentioned anything like that, I guess the user is another competitor.

anonymous/USA – RipOffReport.com – Sep 2017 – Un-clear classes, only members opinions, can’t access the members area, can’t cancel

anonymous Main Points:

While searching for a way to make money at home, I joined Wealthy Affiliate. FREE to start. Then there is a montly cost. Classes are  hard to understand, answers to questions are answered from other members “opinions” No real Answers. I tried So hard to understand, but just went in circles.

When someone joined under me, I can NO Longer get into my site. There is NO Place where I could cancel My membership. I feel the only ones making any money with this are KYLE and JASOn. (If that is their real names.) This is A SCAM.

However, I was able to Block next months payment in pay pal

My Point of View:

Any user can cancel his/her membership using the button in their profile settings. The user apparently was not very serious about starting an online business. People believe that because they worked for a month or so, money will come purring in.

Virginia/USA – RipOffReport.com – Jun 2017 – Customer shaming

Virginia’s Main Points:

I read all their information and watched all 10 videos and read aot of reviews and I am looking for what they are selling but I’m totally turned off, not that they make their money by selling memberships but that they and anonymous others mistreat paying and non-paying customers when they don’t like their questions. I saw that customers were told to re-watch the videos, even when they don’t pertain, were blocked by the employees of Wealthy Affiliates, were shamef on complaont boards bu Wealthy Affiliates and anonymous persons (who curiously said exactly the same things).. like “you’re too good to re-watch the lessons” “you already know everything so what’s your problem?” You are getting this fre so what do you have to complain about?” And “You are too lazy to put in the time”.. All in all, if no one can answer your question, you get abused. Not interested in Thos program even if they paid me

My Point of View:

Another user apparently that was not very serious about starting an online business. People expect to make money just by watching 10 educational videos.

Funny to say the least!

Ted Baker/USA – RipOffReport.com – Jun 2017 – Lying WA members

Ted’s Main Points:

they do fake reviews of HUNDREDS of programs.

The end of EACH of their ‘reviews’ results in 1 thing, and 1 thing only, they recommend you join the known scam, Wealthy Affiliate, via their affiliate link, and refer to it as their #1 Choice

Do not believe ANYTHING they say – they’ve made a business out of calling other programs scams in order to promote Wealthy Affiliate, which funny enough is what Wealthy Affiliate TEACHES in their “Wealthy Affiliate University” training course.

Stay away from NewsOnlineIncome.com, and stay away from Wealthy Affiliate.

Ted Baker

Honolulu, Hawaii

My Point of View:

I see a repeated scenario, that WA members create fake reviews. Even in the case that this accusation is true, nowhere in the WA training is encouraged such a behavior. WA teaches people to write ethical reviews, nothing more, nothing less.

Thomas R. Colmenero/USA – RipOffReport.com – Jun 2017 – Wa member creates fake reviews

Thoma’s Main Points:

Stephen McGouran from Wealthy Affiliate constantly creates false negative reviews on his website, in order to promote Wealthy Affiliate and get money from people joining via his affiliate link.

Wealthy Affiliate actively teaches people to do “scam reviews”, and before they were sued by Mobe they had a list of 147 products to do “reviews on” in order to call them scams, and promote wealthy affiliate instead.

I’m new to affiliate marketing, and the dishonesty of Stephen and people like him really gives a bad taste to this “industry” – i mean really, who can you trust?

My Point of View:

Do I have to repeat my answer to this repeated scenario?

Even in the case that this accusation is true, nowhere in the WA training is encouraged such a behavior. WA teaches people to write ethical reviews, nothing more, nothing less.

James Jones/USA – RipOffReport.com – Jun 2017 – Wa member lies about good products

James’s Main Points:

he actively BASHES other legitimate online businsses in order to promote Wealthy Affiliate, who is known for teaching their affiliates this practices.

Scott never buys the products he reviews, he simply bashes them, and refers people to the rip off called “wealthy affiliate” in order to earn affiliate commissions from them.

Unfortunately, Wealthy Affiliate has been teaching this practice for quite some time now, and up until THEY were sued, they even had a list of 150 programs to review and call scams, in order to (you guessed it) promote Wealthy Affiliate instead.

Don’t listen to Scott Newkirk or his recommendations, he’s only out to earn himself more money and send more unsuspecting people to the wealthy affiliate scam.

My Point of View:

Do I have to repeat my answer to this repeated scenario?

Even in the case that this accusation is true, nowhere in the WA training is encouraged such a behavior. WA teaches people to write ethical reviews, nothing more, nothing less.

Indeed, there is a list of similar to the WA programs, just to help newbies discover the competition. Nowhere is mentioned to call these companies scams. This has gone a long way.

James Damian/Afghanistan – RipOffReport.com – May 2017 – Wa member runs a false review site

James Main Points:

John Rico runs a fake / false internet marketing review site.   He’s an affiliate for Wealthy Affiliate and tries to get traffic to telling everyone that everything is a scam except for his affiliate link.

1.  I tested out three different of his reviews.   None of the information was correct.   He even “borrowed” fake info from other sites so he can get content for his fake blog.

2.  Then, he does the SEO to trick Google into ranking his blog for that product or service.  So now, when someone is trying to look for that product or service, his fake blog says it’s a scam.

3.  Then, he is the worst by putting down other marketers and then, redirecting them through his wealthy affiliate referral link.  That’s the bottom of the bottom scraping the barrel worst marketer on the internet.

My Point of View:

Do I have to repeat my answer to this repeated scenario?

Even in the case that this accusation is true, nowhere in the WA training is encouraged such a behavior. WA teaches people to write ethical reviews, nothing more, nothing less.

lee/USA – RipOffReport.com – Feb 2017 – Wa scam, yes we know it is

lee’s Main Points:

Well apparently I have fallen for the get two web pages free and then premium membership for the 19.00 ploy. And I know now of two people who have tried canceling thier membership to this so called wealth promoting business.

I spoke with one last night who told me that when he goes to cancel his membership it just keeps sending him back to his home page there. I simply gave him the best advice. Call his financial instituion and have them blocked if they try the auto bill bull crap.

Yeah it looks all nice and cozy with W/A with all these poeple joining all the time. But the key thing to remember is this Folks. KYLE & CARSON are both computer network experts. They can build code that will generate all those nice pictures we see on google. And they can also develop fake user profiles too.  THINK about it how many people have you seen in one day alone that join who are from some foriegn country  I counted 10 a day folks wherew is this leading?

I will tell you where it is leading for them with me. A report to my financial institution too. Along with a nice fat blog on one of those free pages they offered me. With a link to this site on scams

My Point of View:

The user could continue using the free membership option without having to purchase anything. I believe this person is just lying.

baa912/USA – RipOffReport.com – Jan 2017 – Wa scam review

baa912 Main Points:

It has come to my attention that the Wealthy Affiliate program actively teaches and allows their members to post fake reviews that are optimized with popular competitor company names + keywords like “scam” and “review”. When people use the search engines to find legitimate information about these competing companies, they are presented with fake review information that falsely makes their competitors look like scams. This is blatant slanderous activity and is liable under the law.

Of course, at the end of each fake review is a link to Wealthy Affiliate. My advice to you is to not pay any attention to these fake reviews or any other review that has a monetary incentive at the end like a link to an affiliate program. Real reviews will have NO monetary incentive like paid ads, affiliate links, etc included in the review.

If you are a company affected by one of these fake reviews, I highly encourage you to contact your attorney and sue the pants off of Wealth Affiliate for allowing and encouraging this kind of black hat, deceptive, and slanderous activity.

If you are a victim of this slanderous scam, please contact the FBI internet crimes division and file a report today

My Point of View:

Again, another person claiming that WA teaches people to write fake reviews. This is a common lie, I believe it comes from competitors

anonymous/Bahamas – RipOffReport.com – Nov 2016 – A most very clever scam

anonymous Main Points:

I just wanted to share my experience with the wealthy affiliate program. So, just like many others out there, I was looking to work from home, or at least supplement my income with some extra cash. After searching extensively online, for something that didn’t seem like a scam, I came across, wealthy affiliate. I researched them and was hard pressed to find a bad review or evidence that they were a scam. So, I signed up for the initial 7 day free trial, I watched the videos, started working on my siterubix site etc, etc. I went for the premium membership for 1 year, I bought a website page. After following all the instructions exactly and after about 2 months of building the site, I messaged “Kyle” and the “higher ups in the live chat” to ask them why is it that I can’t find my “registered website” on any of the search engines? The response was that I have to continue to build content. Ok, so I continue to grow the site. By around 9 months and many hours into putting the information in, still could not find my website!! By this time, my site was full of good info that many would go for. So I message everyone again, same thing, “keep building content” and other vague information. And then Lo and behold! One week before my membership was to expire, I get a email saying, congratulations your website is now registered on Google. Wow, what a coincidence, huh!! I go over to Google and try to find the site, and nothing, zero, zip, nada! What did they think, I wasn’t going to check! So I message them, and, no response. For one week I tried, but nothing until I canceled my membership. Then I get a message saying why am I leaving? I answered and told them what they could do with their “business” , if you know what I mean. Far as I’m concerned, my website never was on any server, anytime, anywhere. The people behind this are very clever and deceptive. WA is absolutely a well orchestrated scam. All the time and money and effort that many have put in to a phantom website, In my case $400 bucks, only to have their hopes and money flushed down the toilet. So, please my good people, don’t be a damned fool like I was, and buy into this false hope. Regards.

My Point of View:

This person claims that had received an email saying his site was registered on Google. Google is not registering websites. Google is ranking them. For that, you need to work a little bit!

Randy Alan/USA – RipOffReport.com – Nov 2016 – WA is a scam

Randy’s Main Points:

Wealthy Affiliate advertises as a “free work at home” opportunity.  In fact, they are not.  They will insist that you have back up software which you will download for $20 – $25.  They will not “reimburse” you.  Then you have to join if you want premium membership.  The lesser membership gets you nowhere.

The people on the “live chat” are paid employees.  The chat reads more like social media than a “live chat” with real questions and answers.  It’s more like, “hi, how are you Jo, what’s up”?  “Good evening Susie, welcome”.  No real content.

In other words, I would not join this site.  I am trying to get my money back for buying the software.

My Point of View:

WA does not sell any software. The live chat is full of real people, entrepreneurs exchanging ideas, creating trainings, answering questions, and communicating.

John/USA – RipOffReport.com – Jul 2016 – WA overview, the scam they’re running

John’s Main Points:

Wealthy Affiliate is the biggest con on Earth right now, and I just got wind that the FTC, FBI are now investigating this massive fraud.

The way Wealthy Affiliate works is this:

>>You signup for a “free” training center to learn internet marketing.  You MUST setup a website and create a fake review directing people to your Wealthy Affiliate – affiliate link.

Right from the start, there is fraud on Day #1 for everyone involved.  When you create a fake blog post with the sole purpose of getting people to click your affiliate link, you’ve committed fraud from the start.

>>Then to take it further, you create FAKE reviews of every program out there using our SEO template.  That way – you steal the s****..

Responses Underneath:

Wealthy Affiliate is the biggest con on Earth right now, and I just got wind that the FTC, FBI are now investigating this massive fraud.

Tasos Perte Tzortzis created a fake review site at:

https://webmarketsupport.com/tag/scams/

>>You signup for a “free” training center to learn internet marketing. You MUST setup a website and create a fake review directing people to your Wealthy Affiliate – affiliate link.

Right from the start, there is fraud on Day #1 for everyone involved. When you create a fake blog post with the sole purpose of getting people to click your affiliate link, you’ve committed fraud from the start.

>>Then to take it further, you create FAKE reviews of every program out there using our SEO template. That way – you steal the s****.>

Continueing the fraud, you now have everyone creating FAKE reviews (because newbies and beginners have no clue about each program but they can easily copy/paste and fill in the blanks on each program). They create a FAKE review leading people to Wealthy Affiliate link.

So the scam works like this:

Steal the SEO of legit companies and legit programs by saying that they are scams. Company Name Scam – example.

Right?

The newbies and beginners will screenshot members area and use logos illegally … and make up the review. Most of it’s made up on the spot because they spend a whole four minutes checking out the company.

LOL

So naturally, if you spend four minutes grabbing logos and screenshots, then you must be an expert on that company and their service.

Here’s where they cross the line and probably will be going to jail or paying hefty fines:

>>>The terms on most of these membership sites say that they CANNOT republish the inside without their permission. So ANYONE who signs and shares logos and screenshots is already in violation of their terms.

BUT they defend that by saying that they have fair use because of the review.

That’s where they are mistaken again because these are FAKE reviews. You can’t give an honest review of a program by spending four minutes stealing graphics and logos and creating the same review for each program FOR THE SOLO PURPOSE of stealing the SEO and visitors to click on your affiliate link.

That’s fraud.

ANY WEALTHY AFFILIATE WHO IS DOING THIS WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW! THE FTC AND FBI ARE INVESTIGATING THIS – PLEASE GO BACK AND REVIEW ANY PAST INFO!

>>>Let me review:

Wealthy Affiliate is the number one scam out there and the owners will be go to jail for this.

When you create a fake review for stealing SEO traffic for the sole purpose of making money through your affiliate link, then you have committed a series of crimes:

SEO FRAUD

INTERNET FRAUD

EMBEZZLEMENT

MONEY LAUNDERING

These all fall into the category of what wealthy affiliate is doing…

Creating fake review sites…

Fraudulent SEO traffic…

Deceive users…

to make money…

That’s the truth! It’s out there… may you rot in jail, Kyle and Wealthy Affiliate affiliates.

Now MOBE is suing Wealthy Affiliate for creating these fake reviews & if you have been a victim (which means that anyone who has created a fake review site for the purpose of pimping an affiliate link has been defrauded) – then please let me know.  I’m putting a class action lawsuit together against every single Wealthy Affiliate affiliate.

EVERY SINGLE ONE!

Thanks!

John Dupont

My Point of View:

So, John Dupont is accusing me of fake reviews, SEO fraud, internet fraud, and money laundering.

Do I really have to answer here? I can’t because I’m laying on the ground and crying.

Jamie/USA – RipOffReport.com – May 2016 – Fake blog

Jamie’s Main Points:

Begin at Zero, Evelyn Baz posts lies about other successful marketers and companies hoping to gain attention to her program Wealthy Affiliate.  She is apart of the “ring of fake bloggers” who share each others fake reviews to dominate the search engines for those company names.   When people search for those company names, they show up on the first page of Google.   That traffic then sees a fake blog post and a portion of them signup for the program called Wealthy Affiliate.  When you write a fake blog post to steal the SEO for the other companies, that’s fraud my dear.

If you have been a victim of this, please contact the FBI and the FTC.  We would like to get these scammers off the internet ASAP.

My Point of View:

A repeated scenario

Jamie/USA – RipOffReport.com – Aug 2014 – Fraud

Jamie’s Main Points:

Charles Richard Bell of Downhill Money posts lies about other successful marketers in order to game the search engines to direct their traffic to his program Wealthy Affiliate.  This is a well known “fake blog” blog scam called FLOG or SLOG where Wealthy Affiliate will create a blog & post fake info sheets on companies to steal their SEO.  The purpose is to direct their traffic to his program called Wealthy Affiliate.

He’s done this to me and many others online.

If you have been a victim of this fraudster, Charles Richard Bell, please notify the authorities.  We are trying to get him off the streets ASAP!

I paid close to $500 for training that is “free” online and can be found anywhere.  Run far away from this guy.

My Point of View:

A repeated scenario

John W/Texas – RipOffReport.com – Aug 2014 – Ethan Vanderbuilt

John’s Main Points:

I had the misfortune of running across Ethan Vanderbuilt and his website.

While it’s beneath me to give someone like this an ounce of my time in writing,  I do feel an obligation to give the honest truth about Ethan Vanderbuilt and who he really easy, which is an absolute scam artist himself and the ultimate form of ‘hater’.

To the uninformed viewer it may seem like Ethan Vanderbuilt is a ‘scam buster’ as he likes to refer to himself. Negativity always sells. His site is not even located in the USA, It’s registered and hosted in Panama. Go to http://www.enom.com/whois/ and type in ethanvanderbuilt.com – see for yourself.

This scam artist is hiding and probably doesn’t even live in the USA. Hey preys on companies by writhing negative articles, acting like he is doing all of us a favor by exposing a scam. [continued below]….

My Point of View:

A repeated scenario, Ethan Vanderbuilt is a reputable scam buster, he does a very good job by helping people avoid scams and rip-offs. Maybe John W is the owner of a scam, who knows!

Sabrina/USA – RipOffReport.com – Jan 2016 – Unauthorized charge

Sabrina’s Main Points:

So, in the beginning of this month, I unfortunately realized I would not be able to afford Wealthy Affiliates reoccuring fee on my typical debit card, so I wanted to switch it over to a) paypal or b) another card. I was having trouble doing this so I sent Kyle an email with no reply, so my account was charged and overdrawn. My bank refunded me, but the charge came back again, overdrawng me again. I had not checked my account to realize this, so I am very overdrawn with the fees and such. So, I had to file a dispute with my bank. I’ll be calling in a couple days to see what is going on.

My Point of View:

I can’t answer to this rebuttal. It’s a dispute between a customer and a company.

CQ78Libra/USA – RipOffReport.com – Feb 2016 – My blog was deleted without notification

CQ’s Main Points:

On February 20 wealthyaffiliate.com deleted my free starter blog without any notification, or warning. When I went to my blog the siterubix server said “you are seeing this page because the webspace for this domain has not ben set up on this server.” Seven Months of work gone just like that with no way to retreive the content.

They said that I could keep the free starter blog permantley–They were clearly lying about this! It appears that they unofficially delete free starter blogs from their server after a certain period of time, especially when you don’t upgrade to premium and pay $50.00 a month. That is bullshit! I quickly realized that Kyle and Carson are nothing, but a bunch of con artist.

They are making money off of wannabe affiliate marketers, who are most likely not going to make any money doing affiliate marketing. In other words, affiliate marketing is a waste of time! I did this for seven months and didn’t earn anything doing it. Of course there are people (a small majority), who got lucky and are earning a living wage doing this.

However, you will most likely not earn a living wage, or any money at all doing this beacause affiliate marketing is no longer a relevant profession. It’s no longer a relevant profession beacause there are way too many people, who have Addblock Plus. Most of the visitors that come to your blog are not going to see your affiliate links. I’m glad that I didn’t upgrade to their premium features, and let them take advantage of me.

My Point of View:

There are friends of mine using the Free WA membership for years. This rebuttal is another lie.

Henry/USA – RipOffReport.com – Feb 2016 – Ethan Vanderbuilt Fake scam buster

Henry’s Main Points:

FAKE SCAM BUSTER FOR PROFIT!

ETHAN VANDERBUILT IS A TOTAL FRAUD AND NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.

He uses FAKE REVIEWS to have all of us believe he is a crusader for the consumer.

This scammer is intelligent, writing negative articles about other companies and getting tons of traffic to his site so he can profit off of the negative traffic. This is his job. That’s how he makes a lot of money.

HIS SCAM IS REVEALED !!!!!!!!

Ethan Vanderbuilt is a DANGEROUS CRIMINAL because he is so CONNIVING and CALCULATED in his SCAMMING SCHEME!

PART #1 OF THE ETHAN VANDERBUILT SCAM!

Ethan will ONLY write a negative article about a company that is successful and has a lot of traffic to their website. [continued below]….

My Point of View:

Ethan Vanderbuilt is a reoputable scam buster helping people. And I don’t think Ethan is promoting Wealthy Affiliate. I can’t see a connection.

honestreviews/USA – RipOffReport.com – Feb 2016 – Hidden scam beneath the surface

honestreviews Main Points:

So where should I start?  I forgot how I ever found Wealthy Affiliate.  I think I was a paid member with them for probably 3 or 4 months tops.  I want to begin by saying that if you have to promote an affiliate product and pay monthly membership for it, hands down, that is a total scam right there.  Rarely have I ever heard of promoting affiliate products and having to be a paid member with them to promote their product (eg Clickbank doesn’t even do this).

Now just to summarize and get to the point here is my honest review of why it isn’t the best training program.  But please note that it isn’t to say that it is ALL that bad.  In some instances, it is rather good but not the best.

My Point of View:

This person does not have any knowledge of online marketing.

wipeout/USA – RipOffReport.com – Dec 2015 – Newsonlineincome scammers

wipeout Main Points:

Deraj/Deroka/suman roka is yet just another BIG scammer from India who bought a copycat adsense niche blog to steal money from people who visit his ridiculous blog. The only way he makes his money is by writing BOGUS PHONY REVIEWS on RANDOM businesses. This is what draws people to click on his site. All his reviews are uneducated, sloppy and full of lies. He does NOT provide any real or useful information, nor does he investigate the websites he reviews. He simply does a keyword search for ANY work from home job, specific in data entry and then MAKES UP LIES about the company. This has become a common problem online. These are NOT real bloggers, they are nothing more than SPAMMERS and SCAMMERS that do nothing more than spread rumors and lies about companies just so you will click on their adsense links and hopefully buy another work from home scam. [continued below].

My Point of View:

A repeated scenario, it’s getting really boring, I know!

Jillian Sorenson/USA – RipOffReport.com – Nov 2015 – Carson & Kyle, thieves, ripoff, MLM not available…

Jillian’s Main Points:

I have now been banned from chat for over a month. You have not responded to my e-mails for further details. I will not be renewing my membership and I find it unjust that you charged me full price for this month when I am still banned from chat. I am requesting a full refund and immediate cancellation of my membership. I am taking my clients and referrals with me and will make all of them 6 figures for 2016. I started ThriftyPinky.com yesterday and I already have 13 full-time active franchisees and all of them are doing Pinkilocks Professionals as well.

My current referrals/friends include Christopher Yohn, IveTriedThat, JohnCWS, PJLucas, JohnVB, BobTosh, Zoefke, TomTitty, simon1234bun, Ashiko, Tallton, and my other 250+ followers on your website. I will not refer any future business to you. In my humble opinion, you have treated me extremely unfairly and your business model is reprehensible. You are taking advantage of all your customers with your payment plan. I have found a website hosting company that pays $300 per referral – more than 13 times what you offer. Nearly every hosting company has a better compensation plan including Webs, BlueHost, HostGator, GoDaddy, and many, many more. I think you and your partner are selfish, unkind thieves, and I will tell all of my 4K Twitter followers such.

In addition, I am an online MBA student at St. Thomas University with a B.B.A. from USD and a M.Ed. from National University. I am a licensed CA Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Appraiser, High School English and Business Teacher, MSPA Gold Certified Mystery Shopper (10+ Years), Website and App Designer, Life and Business Coach, and small business owner of PinkilocksProfessionals.com, ThriftyPinky.com, JillianSorenson.com, and LearnMysteryShopping.com.

I would advise you to change your compensation plan to be competitive with that which can be found with a simple web search Otherwise, I predict your business will fold within 12 months or less.

My Point of View:

Jillian’s prediction was not verified. The rest of the message is really funny!

vichutchinson/USA – RipOffReport.com – Nov 2015 – Downhill Money Rick Bell lies about others

vic’s Main Points:

posts lies about other successful marketers hoping to gain attention to his program Wealthy Affiliate. He contacted me Vic Hutchinson about paying me $5,000 for me to work with him one on one all year.

He told me he had faile miserably at this online marketing stuff and needed help from someone that was already a successful marketer. I was able to quit work under the age of 40 because a friend and I over an 8 year period was creating niche products outside the IM(Internet Marketing) niche and simply had so many products up that the commissions we were making from the sales was enough after 8 years to quit work and go full time at online marketing.

An example of one of our products was headache remedy. There is a way for you to talk to yourself that actually will make the headache go away. This is just one example of the hard work over the years we put into this marketing. [continued below]….

My Point of View:

A repeated scenario

Justin/USA – RipOffReport.com – Aug 2015 – WA completely destroyed everything I was working towards

Justin’s Main Points:

They claim to help you build and develop your very own online buisness from scratch, however they fail to mention if you don’t buy their premium membership they take all work work and destoy it, remove from the servers never to be found again!

I began by looking into Wealthy Affiliate and they say you can remain a free member and host your own website, but being a free non premium member your site will always appear with the siterubix sub-domain. I was completely content with that and was even going to upgrade to the premium upon making some money from the niche website i had created, however this is was the case.

I took their bootcamp and created my website, putting in months worth of hours into cultivating my website. I poured hard work and dedication into creating orginal, helpful content ,starting affiliate partnerships and overall making an amazingly diverse website with  truly unlimited potential. I really started to put my life into this and making it work. Also i was truly helping people with my website, which was more rewarding than ever. I fought off plagiarism of my articles i wrote. I was really starting to gain followers and were receiving numerous positive comments and reviews from individuals whom were greatful from the advice i was providing, was finally getting to be placed within the top three hits on numerous search engines and even getting offers from companies that wanted to partner with me for adspace and I thought WOW this is really going to work. Man was i so dead wrong.

Because I didn’t go premium Wealthy Affiliate completely eliminated my website from their servers. They gave me no notice, they gave me no warning, not one single chance to save it, cause to be honest this had become my life at this point, to where i was so dedicated to becoming successful through affiliate marketing and was beginning to get my feet cemented and was getting noticed. They severed all my work, all my time, everything i had put into trying to become successful using the program. It was like a punch to the face when i went to log on and it was all gone, everything! I almosted fainted just from the shock of it all going to log into my website and looking back at me was this screen to begin making a website. Talk about disappointment and frustration. But i remained calm i thought this must be a mistake. They will fix it they have to. So I emailed them asking them what happened and to my utter surprise i never received any response. I thought maybe they are just looking into it, becauses there is no way they would do this to me. After about a week of of not hearing anything i wrote another email and again nothing. Another email and again nothing! So another just asking them to contact me in general and still nothing. To say the least i am at a loss of words and just don’ know what to do. I finally decided its time to say something and see if anyone else would know what to do or even how to recover what i feel is a stolen website. I can’t even begin to describe what this meant to me and how this has affected me just due to the fact of how much time i spent making this something special to me.

My Point of View:

A repeated scenario, there are WA Free members running their sites for years with no problems whatsoever.

snrtrader/South Africa – RipOffReport.com – Jul 2011 – Master crooks and thieves

snr’s Main Points:

For 3 years they have taken money from my credit card – I have begged and pleaded that they take me off their books – the do not have the common decency to even reply to my letters.
I am 76 years old and my pension is all I have. Life is very difficult for me. They are downright thieves and should noty be allowed to operate on the internet.
3 years of feees is a lot of money.
I have written personal emails to the owners Carson and his partner, but they are clearly equally crooked.

Take care not to use their web site as it will be a nightmare.

They plausible scoundrels who prey on the unsuspecting potential clients thinking that they can learn something to help them along. My frst year I paid for and realised that I had entered and could not do anything about that years fees – however they have continued to steal my money nothwithstanding my repeated appeal for them to stop and repay me.

Any help I can get to recoup my stolen money will be appreciated.

Thank you

My Point of View:

The reviewer did even take a look at his billings? 3 years without knowing he’s been charged? I hardly believe this story

Robby/Texas – RipOffReport.com – Jan 2015 – Theft of my intellectual property

Robby’s Main Points:

I was a free member and all was fine. Then I decided to purchase a month of Premium, at a first month discounted price, to see if I thought it was would be worth the normal monthly amount which was twice as much. During this time, I painstakingly built a wordpress site from the bottom up and created quite a few blog posts on the subject of my website. I was told that I could always take my website later and migrate it to a new server if I decided not to stay with WA. I did lots of campaigning for my site in other places on the internet and it quickly became a thing.

Well, towards the end of that first month, I did indeed decide that I wanted to leave WA and move everything to another host. Should’ve been no big deal right? Wrong! I was told that I need to cancel my reoccuring subscription or I would be charged that full price in a few days…..so I did that. I then immediately lost access to my members area, so I was unable to access my own website and, on top of that, my website was no longer working at all. The domain was blank!

I contacted WA Tech Support and they were very rude and said alot of very confusing stuff that just seemed like a run around to me. They then said to wait a few days and contact them again. They said they would give me instructions on what to do at that time. I waited and then went back to the WA site to contact them again and was denied all access to all areas of the website unless I paid the full amount for a premium membership!

I can click on absolutely nothing anywhere on that website without  it popping up telling me to pay! I am so disappointed by this and I’ve lost every bit of my hard work and Wealthy Affilliate essentially has stolen my Intellectual Property. I need my files so that I do not have to start everything over from scratch at my new host, but WA refuses to give me access.

My Point of View:

WA gives a grace 30-days period to remove sites to other hosting providers, the customer support is always very friendly

Mary/Florida – RipOffReport.com – Aug 2014 – Ethan Vanderbuilt is a scam

Mary’s Main Points:

Ethan Vanderbuilt is a SCAM ARTIST!!!

RIPPED ME OFF FOR $5000

This snake oil salesman tricked me into wiring him $5,000 for his wealthy affiliate program. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/ethan-vander/blog/activism-and-affiliate-marketing

It’s been 45 days since he made me wire him $5,000 to an account in Panama.
I had second thoughts about wiring him the money especially out of the country.
I should’ve went with my gut instincts!! I only received some pd’s to my email after paying him all that money. He sent me a pile of junk. Total TRASH!!!!!!

He told me that he would help me make money, help me with a roadmap to success.
He was so convincing, so sweet to me. This man is very dangerous. He is a real CROOK!!!  After I wired him the $5,000 Panama, he disappeared!!!

I feel totally violated by this SCAMMER. I thought he was doing some good by exposing scams and I was totally tricked.

This FRAUDSTER IS HIDING BEHIND ALL OF THE PUBLICITY HE GETS ON HIS SITE!

My Point of View:

Ethan Vanderbuilt is a reputable scam buster

Larren/USA – RipOffReport.com – Feb 2012 – Ivetriedthat affiliate scam

Larren’s Main Points:

Beware of I’ve tried that Scammers Joe and Steve

I’ve tried that is nothing but a couple of scumbag dishonest marketers  that try and tear down other companies and steal their traffic.BEWARE OF THESE 2 CRIMINALS! They go on to try and make you believe they actually have paid for all the hundreds of companies they talk crap about with  their own money when we all know it’s a load of garbage! They haven’t  spent one dime and why would they? All they’re trying to do is make  money off of these people by selling them wealthy affiliate and then  their crappy little ebook. By the way wealthy affiliate is the exact  same affiliate marketing/home typing/data entry mumbo jumbo program they try to warn you off about. Their favorite answer to this one is oh we  just do

My Point of View:

Steve from IveTriedThat is a reputable online marketer

bustaliar/USA – RipOffReport.com – Nov 2011 – Ivetriedthat Steve Joe scam

bustaliar’s Main Points:

This guy Joe, now apparently Steve is his partner (probably one in the same) is a total Fraud if I’ve ever seen one. He’s made his living out of trashing other work from home businesses purely for his own profit and I being in the marketing biz myself, know when to call Bull S*** !
First of all Steve says he’s from Pittsburgh, however the partial information that shows up on “Whois” says he’s from Los angeles. But, his name and other information are completely HIDDEN from the public. So why would Mr. honesty want to hide his true identity? Why would such a public guy and honest man hide his true identity?? I’ll tell you why, because he’s a liar and a Fraud.
.
This website, www.ivetriedthat.com has a history of trashing many data entry, home typing/ affiliate marketing websites which is the TRUE KICKER here, because he is aggressively promoting “THE WEALTHY AFFILIATE”. You do the math. [continued below]….

My Point of View:

WA refunds money, I know a lot of people received refunds normally.

tallgirl/USA – RipOffReport.com – Apr 2010 – Unauthorized renewal

tallgirl’s Main Points:

I signed up for Wealthy Affiliate to learn how to market my company’s products over the Internet.  Since Wealthy Affiliate is oriented towards affiliate marketing, something I’m not doing, I realized — too late — that I’d wasted my money.  When I was contacted by them later, I explained that I wasn’t getting any value, and that I wasn’t interested in renewing.

They don’t offer refunds, including for unused time (first red flag), and the only available option now is “Cancel”.  I don’t recall the existing verbiage being there at the time I informed them I didn’t want to renew, and I’ve since read on Ripoff Reports that Wealthy Affiliates has changed their policy and web site in the past 12 months or so.  But, I’d sent them an e-mail stating that I didn’t want my account renewed and there was no reply to indicate that I needed to do something else, or even an acknowledgment that my account wouldn’t auto-renew (third red flag).

After spending time learning why this type of affiliate marketing approach wasn’t going to work for me (I did learn valuable lessons that have helped me gain share against my competitors, and that was directly related to why WA wasn’t going to help me, so it wasn’t a complete loss), I marked it up to “School of hard knocks”.

As with other people who’ve been ripped off by Wealthy Affiliate, I didn’t receive any notification of a pending renewal date — they’d been told I didn’t want to renew, so I wasn’t expecting one.

Yesterday (4/24) I received a call from my credit card’s fraud department asking if I’d authorized a charge in the amount of approximately $360.  I told them that I’d not, and that they needed to deny the charge.

I have sent “private messages” to both Kyle and Carson and have not yet received a response.

My Point of View:

WA refunds money, I know a lot of people received refunds normally.

JenB/USA – RipOffReport.com – Apr 2010 – Membership not cancelled when tried to

Jen’s Main Points:

I signed up for an account at Wealthy Affiliate for 1 year. After about 6 months, I stopped using it. I used a credit card to pay. I knew I did not want to continue my membership. For a few hours, I searched online to find out how to cancel. I logged into my account, found where I could cancel, and pressed cancel membership.

I was given a message that stated, “Are you sure you want to cancel, your account will auto-cancel on ‘Xdate2010X’. So I thought, great, it will cancel on that date.

Today, I logged into my account to confirm everything was taken care of, and now it says my account will cancel on Xdate2011X. I called my credit card company to find a pending transaction. What?

I still have received no emails from them regarding renewal of subscription, no emails from the company that charged my card, no type of receipt? Who does business like that?

I logged back in, canceled immediately, and called the credit card. I will dispute the charge if need be, and have finally found a billing email, after assuming the only way to get help was email/pm the owners. There, finally, was a billing support email address.

I did not have a bad experience while a member, why end your relationship with people on such awful terms.

Could you possibly send an email notice of renewal, with a way to opt out? Any honest company would do so?

I am requesting my pending credit card transcation to be canceled, and change your system to state that the account will auto-renew on Xdate, rather than auto-cancel.

My Point of View:

A dispute between a company and a customer

Brighten/USA – RipOffReport.com – Nov 2009 – I vet speakers and programs for our members

Brighten’s Main Points:

I had a similar experience in trying to cancel a Wealthy Affiliate membership as posted previously. I think its funny that some of their affiliates brag about how they have such a low level of refunds. Oh. Could it be because they dont offer one? They claim that its because of all the proprietary information that you are privy to once youre in. I really didnt see anything that isnt readily available elsewhere online and in many cases, free. Further, any tools that are available for their members can only be used while you are a member. Thats still not a terrible thing I suppose. They can have whatever policy they want. It is their company. Buyers just have to BE AWARE and not think that just because other reputable companies offer refunds that Wealthy Affiliate does too. THEY DONT. Nor do they make it easy to cancel and that is where it gets bothersome. Even after you find your way through their crazy time consuming maze and they acknowledge receipt of a cancellation request and a date that our membership would expire, they continued to bill us for 2 additional months. I received an email requesting that I contact Kyle and Carson personally via their forum to see if they could get me “back on track” LOL… I didn’t know I was off track but in any case, I wrote back and politely asked that they simply cancel my account please. I still can’t get a response so I decided to post on as many sites as I have time to until they do. Unfortunately for them, I do the speaker and programs vetting for a large and very active, non-profit association and this won’t fair well for them if this isn’t resolved soon. I don’t have anything really bad to say about their products or services. I just think their customer services are stinky and that isn’t an experience we can afford to expose our members to who depend on us to research quality products they can use. Thanks for your help BTW. We appreciate what you do.

My Point of View:

WA refunds people

-/Mississippi – RipOffReport.com – Apr 2009 – Once you signup, good luck cancelling

– Main Points:

I joined wealthy affiliate looking to start an internet based business. After signing up I decided that wealthy affiliate was not what I was looking for. I wanted to cancel. I wasn’t asking for a refund (their policy states “No Refunds”…which should have been a red flag for me), just to cancel my membership and bill me for no further payments.

I sent in a support ticket (no phone number listed) and the response I got was to go into my account and look under the help topics and I’d find out how I could cancel. Whattttt????

They won’t take the time to cancel my membership? Another red flag.

I found the refund topic. The only problem is, it’s not as easy as clicking a “cancel membership” button. It tells you how to cancel any further PayPal payments. OK, I’d be fine with doing this myself just to get out of this crazy maze. There’s just one problem…. I didn’t pay with PayPal…. I opted to pay with my credit card (not through PayPal).

I sent another message and informed the company of this and now I can’t get them to reply.

So buyer beware when dealing with this company.

My Point of View:

There is a button for cancelling memberships

-/New York – RipOffReport.com – Sep 2008 – Took $310 from me for a project they only did half

– Main Points:

In early July, I met someone on WealthyAffiliate.com, a forum to help internet business owners build their business. I put up an ad asking for a web designer. Army Chiu (armstrong) emailed me. He seemed like he had good credentials. So we made an agreement that he would do 2 sites for me for a total of $250. He did a good job on the first one so I decided to pay him for the other site in advance with an additional $50 tip for doing a good job on the first site. I then stopped getting emails from him as to his progress. He ignored my repeated emails. Then after several days he said “I’m busy” that’s why I haven’t responded. Then another week went by without him answering my other inquiries as to when the other site would be completed – again, no response. Finally, I emailed him and said I know you are busy but I paid you in advance and would like you to at least respond to me. He emailed me 2 days later and said “I’m busy but I’ll start your project Friday”. I said ok. But I realized I needed someone who was not quite so “busy” and who would be available to me so I emailed him and said I know you are busy so I’ve decided to hire someone else please give me back my $125 for the site you didn’t do. I didn’t hear from him for 3 days. I emailed him again. Still no response. finally, I posted on Wealthy Affiliate complaining to the owners about this guy. I received no response from them. Next thing I know, I could not log into any of my accounts. I had given Army Chiu access to all of my passwords so he could work on my sites. He has deleted all of my files and my website is not working. He also deleted my account with Wealthy Affiliate (I paid $359 to join) and I had to rejoin. So far Wealthy Affiliate has not responded. I would like to sue Army Chiu (and Wealthy Affiliate if they do not give me back my money or make Army Chiu give me back my money. At the very least I would be satisfied if Wealthy Affiliate barred him from the forum). Now I have to spend more money on another site.

An Answer to the WA Membership Cancelation Complaints – Timoy Aug 13, 2016

The original article can be found here

Hey WA,

I am back!

I was feeling adventurous and I decided to carry out this little experiment of mine.

Not long ago, I decided to cancel my Wealthy Affiliate membership and the process was really simple, straight forward and amazingly quick.

YES! I leave WA for a temporary break – 12 days.

During my break, I have discovered 7 interesting “Need To Knows” that you can’t simply turn away if you are toying with the idea of quitting Wealthy Affiliate, cancelling your membership or simply take a hiatus.

Read this before you hit that tempting little green button and it will saves you some hassle.

Website

1. If you have any websites hosted on Siterubix (Wealthy Affiliate). You will have a generous 30 days to complete your website migration after you decided to end your WA Premium membership.

[VERIFIED]

This would means that you will need to

a) find a new hosting provider for your websites and

b) hire someone to do the migration for you or someone with the experiences.

I would suggest that you do it before you end your membership.

2. After 30 days, your websites will not be accessible. However, it will still be stored securely and retrievable (upon reactivation) if you decided to resume your membership within 2 years.

[I am not able to verify on this as it was a short break for me]

Credits

3. After stopping my membership, my premium access to my account was revoked instantly.

My account was not downgraded to free member but instead it was deactivated.

This means that you will not have any access to your dashboard, or the ability to manage your existing credits.

Do take note if you are taking a long break, you may want to cash out your credits first.

[VERIFIED]

4. The good news is after I have re-activated my membership. My existing credits are still intact.

[VERIFIED]

Affiliates

5. Once premium access is cancelled, affiliate commissions payouts are paused as well. You will not be able to receive any payouts even if you are entitled to the qualified affiliate commissions during your term as a premium member.

[VERIFIED]

6. But here’s the good news, if you re-activated your membership, Your affiliate commissions will still be lying around, ready to be payout on the coming month.

[VERIFIED]

7. Since payout are stopped, you will probably not be credited for any new affiliates or affiliate commissions during your absence.

[I am not able to verify on this, maybe someone can share their experience]

I was impressed

One takeaway from this little experiment which wasn’t found anywhere in Wealthy Affiliate.

I am probably the first one to touch on it, retention.

I was impressed on how Kyle and Carson have set up a superb retention system for members who are toying with the idea of quitting Wealthy Affiliate.

I am just curious what could be the retention rate from this little set up by Carson and Kyle.

Conclusion

Kyle and Carson have make it simple and easy for anyone who wants to cancel their existing membership, unlike other online programs where this cancellation process could probably take a few days and often associated with many teething problems.

I have experienced a quick and clean cancellation without any problems so rest assure that if ever there is a need or a reason for you to cancel your subscription, it can be done quick, easily and painless.

My Answer to Timoy:

Thanks, Timoy. You cleared things up for everyone

An Answer to the Complaints – LynneHuy June 16, 2017

The original article can be found here

So I don’t know if you have been seeing all the posts online claiming that Wealthy Affiliate is a scam? There are loads of them doing the rounds on Facebook.

There are a lot of people that are members of other sites that are competition to Wealthy Affiliate writing about the Wealthy Affiliate scam.

Apparently Kyle and Carson are absolutely thieving criminals that teach members here to write scathing and untrue reviews about competitors.

OMG what a nasty rotten thing to do Kyle and Carson! How could you do that?

So I have done all the courses here that Kyle has set out for members to follow and I have done loads of Jay’s training too. I just love all the training here.

It is true that Kyle and Carson have published training on how to write reviews… on products and online opportunities. However nowhere in that training are members here taught to write untrue and nasty things about other companies.

We have been taught to research, to test opportunities/products and to write our own opinions… duh which is what a review is right?

Yes I am sure some members have gone off and written really awful reviews that have not been properly researched. This has nothing to do with Wealthy Affiliate and it is not what is taught here.

I also find it interesting that the people trashing Wealthy Affiliate are saying that the training here is not up to scratch and that it is underhanded techniques. A lot of these reviews had people claiming that they couldn’t make money from the things that Wealthy Affiliate have taught.

Here’s my take. We are each responsible for our own actions. We are each responsible for our success or lack thereof.

I can only speak for myself and say that the training that I have had the privilege of doing here has been a life changing experience for me. Wealthy Affiliate has provided me with all the tools, training and support that I needed to build my online business.

I believe that everything you need to succeed online is right here at Wealthy Affiliate. It is up to you to decide whether you want to take full advantage of that and make a success…. or to not do what it takes and lay blame elsewhere.

If Wealthy Affiliate is such a scam how come it helped me to grow my mommy blog website traffic to over 20 000 unique monthly visitors with 130 000 monthly page views with a bounce rate of under 3%?

How To Increase Traffic To Your Website For Free

It’s a scam I tell you, it’s got to be right? LOL

Why am I still here paying my monthly fee 2 years down the line?

PS I love writing reviews on my mommy blog, I currently charge $100 for a product review on my mommy blog.

Thanks for the reviews training Kyle, it rocks. I took note of what you said and I put my own spin on it to make it my own.

#JustSaying

My Answer to Lynne:

Thanks, Lynne. You shed plenty of light on the story here.

An Answer to the Common Complaints – Wendy, SurvivingAfterCollege.com

The original article can be found here

So, here are the 7 most common complaints I’ve heard against Wealthy Affiliate (and my rebuttals)

#1. Wealthy Affiliate is not accredited by the BBB and has an “F” rating

It is true that they’re not a member of the BBB, and that their rating was at one time an F (presently, it’s a B). But what most people don’t realize is the BBB isn’t really the almighty saint it’s cracked up to be. Sadly, money has corrupted the once well meaning foundation and you need to take their ratings with a grain of salt.

Most likely the small mom and pop shop around the corner, or that local restaurant you love aren’t members of the BBB club either, yet you probably still are more than happy to do business with them. Heck, even Disneyland isn’t BBB accredited, but would you acuse them of being untrustworthy?

The truth is BBB fees are expensive, and many smaller businesses just don’t have the budget to bother. Other companies, while they could afford it, simply don’t agree with having to pay in for the BBB seal of approval. After all, why should it matter?

There doesn’t seem to be any way of getting a good rating unless you actually pay them a fee to be accredited. Note the examples below.

#2. There’s no free speech! Members get their write privileges revoked for NO reason!

It’s true that members have gotten their writing privelages revoked, but not without a reason.

WA is a spam free community. There are explicit rules that tell you not to spam and if you break those rules, you will be warned. If a very high number of your comments are marked as spam by members, you will be warned and if you continue to not follow the rules, then you will no longer be allowed to post anything within the community.

It’s definitely NOT that case where this privelage is being taken away from members left and right, it rarely happens and when it does, it’s for that reason. Don’t spam and follow the rules!

#3. I didn’t want to continue my membership but they billed me anyway… it’s IMPOSSIBLE to cancel!

Within their terms and conditions, they state that their membership is monthly recurring, and if you wish to cancel you must do so before the next billing date. Almost all programs involving monthly fees are set up like this no matter what industry – gym memberships, weight loss programs, magazine subscriptions, etc, so it shouldn’t come as a shock that this is how they work. You agreed to that when you signed up, and you’re personally responsible for keeping track of your membership renew dates so you can cancel if you so choose to. If you don’t know when your bill cycle ends, you can find out anytime by visitng your account settings

#4. It’s only for TOTAL newbies!

This isn’t exactly true. Wealthy Affiliate is structured in such a way so people with absolutely zero knowledge of internet marketing can utilize the training to become successful online marketers. Because of this, much of the basic training courses are relatively straight forward and simple to follow. If you are someone that already has advanced knowledge of the industry you may find much of the training offered to not be much benefit to you.

But the training extends so far beyond the basic level. If you type any subject you want to know more about within the search feature, you’ll find tons of additional training materials that have not only been created by Kyle or Carson, but by the actual members themselves

This is part of what makes WA so cool. Members will contribute their own knowledge, advice and training materials into the mix to help make it an extremely rich and helpful resource for any online marketer. There’s tons of members who’ve experienced success that stay with WA for a multitude of reasons, including the wonderful community, ongoing support, and not to mention their unlimited web hosting.

Some people get caught up thinking they must know absolutely everything before they can make money online, but that just isn’t true – you only need to know very little. The training provided is more than enough to make anyone find success online if they actually apply themselves.

All that being said, Wealthy Affiliate is not for everyone. If you join with a starter account and find it’s somehow below your level or won’t benefit you, then that’s fine. But for most people, it’s more than enough to acheive success.

#5. As soon as you join you’ll be pressured to do the Bootcamp training to promote Wealthy Affiliate. It’s the only thing they teach and the only way you’ll make money!

This simply isn’t true at all. Wealthy Affiliate has been around since 2005, and the Bootcamp training (introducing people how to build a business in the “make money online” niche) wasn’t introduced until last year, in early 2013.

The entire idea behind WA is that it teaches people how to build a business around their own interests. EVERY new member is pointed towards their Entrepreneur Certification training, NOT the Bootcamp.

But, let me discuss the reason behind why there’s people making claims that they only teach you to promote WA. It’s true that they have a training course designed to teach people how to promote Wealthy Affiliate in the MMO (make money online) niche. I think a lot of the confusion here (and I completely understand this) stems from the fact within the first training course, they tell newbies that it shouldn’t take any longer than 15 minutes to pick their first niche.

Talk about pressure.

Then, they go on to say if you can’t come up with a niche, to start with Bootcamp because it’ll walk you through a pre-selected one.

I really don’t agree with this but I do see both sides of the arguement. While I don’t think you should spend forever picking a niche, there’s nothing wrong with spending a few days making the decision. In my opinion, 15 minutes it a little ridiculous, and honestly it scared me away from doing anything for a solid 6 months (they didn’t offer Bootcamp at the time I started).

But that brings me to the flip side of the coin. Some people honestly have no idea what they want to do and as a result, will just do nothing. The Bootcamp presents itself as a way to get involved in starting an online business without having to come up with your own niche, which is a hardest part for a lot of people.

I think the mistake a lot of people make is getting involved in this training with no interest, creating a site, then instead of just moving on to another niche, they give up. If you start a Bootcamp site and find it isn’t going to be an area you want to pursue, move on to something else. With the experience you’ve gained from all the training you should feel more confident and able to build a business around any niche you want.

#6. It’s not REALLY free, you have to pay $47 per month!

If you want continued access to communicuate, the advanced training and unlimited web hosting, yes you will need to join premium.

The starter membership is awesome, but it is meant to be a showcase for what premium has to offer. This way, people can get hands on access to what the community can offer them without putting down any of their hard earned money to find out. People who do choose to upgrade to premium know that they’re going to appreciate what they get.

If you are serious about building a business, you’re going to have to put down money somewhere. It’s unrealistic to expect to do it for 100% free.

Even so, you still do have access to tons of training materials and member blogs, even as a free member. That is pretty awesome and I challenge you to find anything else like it out there

#7. The help isn’t all that great!

Personally I think the help is fantastic. I remember when I first started there were so many people willing to help me out at the drop of a hat, I couldn’t believe it.

For example, Wealthy Affiliate has…

  • 13 classrooms
  • 24/7 live chat
  • Ability to PM Kyle and Carson
  • Ability to PM ANY member
  • Ask questions within any training video, tutorial, blog or discussion

For the people that complain the help sucks, I wonder if they’re even taking full advantage of all the help the community has to offer. If you ask a question within live chat and nobody can help, you can always write out your issue within the appropriate classroom and you’ll usually get a response. If that doesn’t work, PM Kyle, Carson or another member that you feel comfortable reaching out to. In most cases, someone will help.

Even though the system they have set up is fantastic, I do agree it’s not perfect. Nobody is going to be holding your hand 100% of the time, and yes it’s true that you may not find every single answer within the community. But for the most part it’s pretty darn good.

It’s really rare to find that type of support system within any other internet marketing “product” out there, and in fact most offer none to very little actual support.

But still, you’re never going to please everybody.

Wendy’s Conclusion:

Wealthy Affiliate may not be totally not perfect, and it isn’t for everyone

My Answer to Wendy:

Thanks, Wendy for an awesome article, you covered all the common complaints!

My Final Point of View

I won’t add much to this final report. All I can say is that WA helped me climb up the rankings in the most competitive niche of the industry (thousands of competing blogs, authority sites, leaders, influencers, and experts).

I created a business from scratch with the least possible expenses, starting out with $31. I created a following, a tribe of subscribers and followers on my sites with steady and growing traffic, on social media, forums, and communities. I make money with affiliate promotions, running my own niche-websites, selling advertising space, with social media accounts, creating websites for clients, as a local advertising agency, and right now I’m creating my own digital products.

I owe my online success to the WA training, tools, services, and enormous support of hundreds of entrepreneurs with the owners included, first and foremost.

Of course, WA is a legitimate company helping its members succeed, if some of them fail no one can accuse WA. People fail at every business, at every job. And because of the huge WA success, their competitors are jealous and afraid, that’s why they create these reviews and complaints.

70+ Ways to Make Money with WA

The available monetization options are literally endless

In this guide, I analyze multiple ways you can take advantage to make money online following the Wealthy Affiliate training.

70+ ways to make money with WA

WA teaches people how to make money mainly with affiliate marketing. The education modules are centered at the creation of a website that is being used as an online property or store, like traditional brick & mortar businesses.

With no doubt, if you don’t have a website, you don’t have a solid online presence.

WA’s education follows this pattern:

  1. Choose an interest
  2. Build a website
  3. Attract visitors
  4. Earn revenue

Making Money Online with a Website in a Nutshell

A website targets a specific segment of a market, a niche, which in essence is a group of people looking for solutions to problems, information on products and services, and they buy stuff online. We attract those people by targeting specific keywordscreating useful, unique and high-quality content based on our audience needs. The content of the website will get rankings in the search engines and will be published and advertised on various platforms and mediums.

As a result, the website will gain traffic and this is where we step in and engage with our audience by answering questions, giving advice, and solving their problems. Eventually, a part of unknown visitors will turn into subscribers and finally we will earn revenue with various methods.

Money Making Methods with a Website

As I promised, there are a hundred different ways to monetize a website, so, let’s dive deep…

Next to every monetization technique, I will be placing a number to count all the available options.

Promoting Other Companies Products for Commissions

This method is also known as Affiliate Marketing and is by far the fastest way to make money with a website. This is how I started and made my first sales online (and still is my very favorite technique).

WA teaches everything that has to do with Affiliate Marketing.

The formula is very simple:

You advertise products and services from other companies, products that people already consume. The companies give you commissions based on the volume of sales that vary from 5% to 10%, to 30%, to 50% or even 70% in some cases (digital products give you higher commissions than physical products).

The final price remains the same, the retail customer enjoys the same quality.

You only have to tie these promotions into your website content. Blogging is the best way to achieve the greatest results with this method.

Various Forms of Affiliate Commissions

  • Pay per click (PPC)
  • Pay per sale (PPS)
  • Cost per action (CPA)
  • Pay per lead (PPL)
  • Single-tier
  • Two-tier
  • Multi-tier

Types of Affiliate Websites

  • Content sites
  • Blogs, forums
  • Directories
  • Shopping comparison/Datafeed
  • Coupon – deal – voucher – discount codes
  • Cashback – rewards
  • Vlogs
  • Mixed type

You can create any type of website you want, and you can mix things up according to your style and preferences.

You attract traffic to your website by creating content. You can do that by blogging (articles, product reviews, lists, best of’s, tutorials…), or you can use audio (lessons, audiobooks, article narrating, interviews, podcasts, commercials), videos (webinars, presentations, interviews, reviews, clips, trailers),  email campaigns, social media campaigns, publishing articles and content on external mediums and platforms.

How to Make Money with an Affiliate Website

I explain the whole process in detail with the DBR training. Here’s a quick overview:

There are affiliate networks (N#1) where they list merchants, and there are independent affiliate programs (N#2) that companies operate on their own.

Every affiliate network, every company has its own rules and conditions. Before we apply for a co-operation it is crucial to read carefully their terms and policies.

Best Practices

My best advice on that matter is this: First, test out the products you want to promote, if you’re satisfied, then begin promoting them

More Money Making Methods with a Website

Selling Advertising Space:

It’s a very effective way to take advantage of online traffic and monetize your content. You make deals with advertising companies, and you place their code on your pages (N#3). They pay whenever someone clicks on the ads or banners, or even they pay for impressions

Alternatively, you can sell ad space directly to other companies, websites, and blogs (and vice versa) (N#4).

Sponsored posts/articles

As your site gains momentum and the traffic increases, companies, other owners, but mostly, startups, will reach you in order to write sponsored posts about their new products or services (N#5). They know you’re getting traffic, they want exposure.

If these products and services align with your content’s theme, it’s a great opportunity to monetize it.

Other advanced monetization techniques

  • Memberships (N#6), online courses (N#7)
  • Workshops (N#8), webinars (N#9), seminars (N#10)
  • Training (1on1, group) (N#11)
  • Consulting (N#12), coaching (N#13)
  • Your own digital products, books, services (N#14)
Email marketing

Monetization Techniques

Along with the educational and free material we distribute via emails, we can use email to monetize our content.

  • Promote our products and services, other companies products (N#7)
  • Promos (N#15), special offers (N#16), seasonal offers (N#17), coupons (N#18), discounts (N#19), bonuses (N#20)
  • Memberships, online courses, ςorkshops, webinars, seminars, τraining, consulting, coaching (mentioned already)
  • Marketing services (N#21) and campaigns (locally & globally) (N#22)
  • Sponsored posts (N#23)
  • Promote your new book, a product launch, a new service (mentioned already)
  • Email campaigns for clients (N#24)

Video marketing and channels

You can make money with vlogging and earn revenue by placing ads in your videos (N#25), with branded merchandising (N#26), sponsored reviews/articles/lists (N#27), and create videos for clients (N#28)

Social media campaigns/advertising

  • Independent campaigns/ads (N#29)Promote your products and services (memberships, courses, books…) and promotional offers of affiliated merchants (Pay per sale, CPM, CPA, Pay per lead)
  • Discounts, promos, prizes, special offers, exclusive downloads (N#30)
  • eCommerce stores (N#31), shops hosted on social platforms like Facebook Store (N#32)
  • Sponsored content (interviews, testimonials, videos, articles) (N#33)
  • Digital content for clients strictly on social media (clips, promo videos, trailers, audio, graphics, ad campaigns) (N#34)
  • Create and manage social media accounts, business pages, profiles for clients (advanced) (N#35)
  • Paid advertising (advanced) (N#36)

Other methods

  • Freelancing: take advantage of your skills, showcase your portfolio, attract clients (N#37)
  • Dropshipping (N#38): sell products in the retail market without having to open a physical store or to buy inventory. You open an online store, you advertise products, and when you make sales you purchase products from a 3rd party wholesaler or distributor who handles the packaging and shipping to the final customers. You don’t touch the products you sell, you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to get started, and you don’t have to stock inventory in warehouses.
  • eCommerce Stores (N#39): This method is very straightforward. You open up an online store, you buy products, and sell them
  • eBay consignment (N#40): You can sell products you already own without having to do any selling at all. You just choose any of the eBay expert sellers and they do the rest. You collect the money when the items are sold.
  • eBay Valet (N#41)
  • Amazon FBA (N#42)
  • Selling arts & multimedia (N#43)
  • PTC sites (N#44), GPT sites (N#45), surveys (N#46). These methods are effective when you build a following of active referrals. A website with an active blog is crucial to attract referrals.
  • Accepting donations (N#47)
  • Add a “Hire Me” button or page (N#48)

More advanced methods

  • Speaking (N#49), live events (N#50)
  • Sell websites for profit (N#51)
  • Promoting MLM companies (N#52)
  • Local marketing for clients: campaigns (N#53), website creation (N#54), social media campaigns (N#55)
  • Business pages (N#56)
  • Marketing services and campaigns for clients and companies: SEO (N#57), website development (N#58), content creation (N#59), advertising (N#60), managing social media accounts (N#61), business pages/profiles (for clients) (N#62) and more…

And there are even more techniques

  • Selling text-link ads (N#63)
  • Infolinks (N#64)
  • Monetization widgets (N#65)
  • Job boards (N#66)
  • Audio ads (N#67)
  • Selling or renting internal pages (N#68)
  • Content-lockers (N#69)
  • Pay per click marketing: paying for ads (search engines, social media, other sites) to drive traffic to your premium offers (N#70)
  • Outbound or cold calling methods (too many to mention) (N#71+)

I describe these tactics with the Beginner’s Guide to Making Money Online and in detail with the DBR Training.

Pre-Conclusion

There you have it, so many monetization techniques.

As you can see, you can take advantage of your website and monetize content in various ways. But it does not stop there. You expand your reach using emails, social media, other platforms, forums, directories, business pages.

You extend your presence with local marketing, creating a local or global client-base, selling services, products, and more.

The number of options is literally endless.

Another money making method with WA is promoting WA (their affiliate program is very lucrative with 40% recurring commissions)

My Success Story

I owe my online success first and foremost to this awesome community

November / December 2014

This is when I started to search for online opportunities in an attempt to expand my business horizons.

I am an entrepreneur since 1992. I began my career by continuing the exporting manufacturing company of my family to the local market. Since then, I have founded and still run many offline businesses, including a hotel, restaurants, cafes, and fashion stores.

I was searching online for part-time opportunities because I only had a few hours to spend in a week and working from the computer seemed like a good idea back then.

I had no idea of how things work online, and I tested numerous online money-making programs till I found what I was looking for, Wealthy Affiliate.

I began my marketing education and I created this website. The concept was to share information and blog about the marketing industry, and promote products and services as a marketing publisher for commissions. At least for the beginning.

At that time this website was more of a hobby. I did not realize back then how things would change. As I am skeptical by nature and because of the tiny $31 initial investment I thought that a website could make only minor profits, right? Don’t get me wrong. There was no business that did not cost me at least $50,000 so far just to get started. It was the first time that I could start a new project with so little money.

And then, after a few weeks I made my first sale, nothing extreme, but it was more than enough to warm me up. I knew that this business was legit and that there was potential.

2 months later, I made my first important sale promoting monthly memberships of a marketing community/platform. That was a great accomplishment because of the highly competitive segment of the market that my website targets. And because this company was paying on a recurring basis.

Have in mind, that during these first 2-3 months I was focused on completing my marketing education and I was learning how to develop my website, so the time I could devote to promotions and to creating content was very limited.

This is when things started to take off and I was making sales on a regular basis. But things have changed dramatically at the 6th-month mark. I was promoting a marketing program in the form of monthly subscriptions again. I had only managed to close 2-3 sales so far with that program. But that day I sold 12 monthly subscriptions. I could not believe it, what an amazing feeling, 12 sales in a row, in just 1 day. I knew that this business was REAL, that day I had changed. I could see the real potential.

Since then, my online business only continues to grow and WMS as a marketing partner/publisher helped hundreds of companies sell more of their products and services and helped them acquire qualified leads.

It was the best decision I’ve ever made because it is indeed a very flexible and scalable business model, with little risk, minimum costs, and unlimited potential

I now make money:

  • By promoting other companies products, memberships, and services (marketing publisher)
  • By selling advertising space on my site (Google, ad networks, companies, individuals)
  • Writing reviews and articles for companies that want to get sponsored here on WMS
  • I run marketing campaigns for local clients and slowly I expand on the local market as an agency
  • Using freelancing platforms
  • Using digital marketplaces
  • Using social media
  • Using forums
  • Participating in various money making sites (referrals, leads, impressions, sales, and other)
  • and I am currently building the WMS services to expand as a global marketing agency

I owe my online success first and foremost to this community/platform.

The reasons:
  • Wealthy Affiliate offers Top-Notch marketing education and anything related to online businesses (how to make money as a marketing publisher/affiliate, freelancer, dropshipping, eCommerce stores, local marketing, selling advertising services, and so much more)
  • The enormous and supportive community (thousands of active members on a daily basis)
  • The high-quality marketing tools (keyword and niche market research, website management, web builder, and more)
  • The high-quality tech support
  • I got help as a newcomer from thousands of WA members, other WA marketing experts, and the WA owners on the forum and the live chat
  • The platform was constantly evolving and still does, they always add new services and marketing tools.
  • I was inspired and motivated by hundreds of success stories from other WA members
  • I was able to scale up even working only part-time (from the 1st sale, to the day with the 12 sales, to the first $1,000 commission from only 1 sale, to the day I expanded on the local market, to the day I start selling advertising space on WMS, to the day I created the DBR training, to the day I began building the WMS services department, and on, and on, and on).

Why You Know I’m Telling the Truth

Because if I was not, I would be telling you things like…

  • Join Wealthy Affiliate and you’ll get rich in 4 weeks or
  • Become a millionaire by being a WA member or
  • How I quit my job in 5 months after working 2 hours daily

Instead, I say that any goal is achievable, any level of income is possible if you work hard and apply what you learn!

That’s all there is to it!

Wealthy Affiliate provides tools, support, and education, YOU have to make it happen

Can Someone Really Make Big Money Online?

You might be wondering if building an online business is a viable model that can bring in serious income.

I get asked similar questions all the time.

I was no exception, I was afraid too when I got started.

Have in mind, that this “online business thing” is mostly dependent on marketing.

And this is GOOD NEWS! Why?

Let me tell you a secret!

You see, marketing is what keeps companies, industries, and economies alive.

If you can become great at marketing, you’ll never have to worry about money anymore.

It had always been the #1 skill, and it will be 100 years from now…

Every company, every store, every little business needs to market its products and services. As a marketer, YOU, have all the companies in the world and literally anyone that want to sell something as potential clients.

Can you imagine that?

Standing At The Crossroads

I know what you think of. You have some doubts, that’s normal, and this is how you should proceed with any offer. This means you have a critical mind.

But I know WHY you are here. You want to build an online business and work from the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere in the world.

You want to increase your income sources, you want to reach new horizons, and create the life you’ve always dreamed of. A new lifestyle, being independent, and autonomous.

Imagine that for a moment!

Imagine yourself in a year from now.

You joined the Wealthy Affiliate community, you became a marketing expert in 2-3 months, and now the sales are rolling. Now you’re able to scale up and build new websites or create your own products and offer your own services.

Now you’re able to buy a new car, pay off your debts, or take this 4-week vacation with your family. Now you’re able to help more people and grow your brand to make an impact on the world. How beautiful is that!

Now your life is different, a lot different!

It’s possible to reach any goals if you receive help from experts.

BUT, if you don’t do anything, nothing is going to change, you know that.

The next year will be the same, and maybe the next one and the next one.

Richard Branson said

“If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later!”

Don’t Worry About Money Anymore!

Join Wealthy Affiliate and you won’t regret it. It’s the Real-Deal. I’ve tested hundreds of similar programs and companies.

Wait, There’s More…My Huge Bonuses $I Let you price them

Let me make sure you gain self-confidence and help you move faster, together 1-on-1 for as long as you need

But before I announce the bonuses I need to introduce myself very briefly.

I do marketing since December 2014. I live, breathe, and dream marketing. This is what I do for a living. I help companies sell more of their products, both locally and globally. I offer marketing and advertising services to clients directly and as a marketing publisher indirectly through this website.

My passions: marketing, advertising, sales, human psychology, personal development. I have a University Business Administration degree and I’m an entrepreneur since 1992.

I read like a maniac and produce content and campaigns for me and clients like crazy.

To help you even further I decided to add some extra value to the already extreme package that WA has compiled. And this is to help you realize how much I believe in this multi-community.

And I have to be honest, I only promote HIGH-QUALITY programs that I firmly believe in. It would have been very easy for me to promote every program under the sun, but during my online journey that started in 2015, I only promoted the BEST of the BEST, and I will continue to do so in the future.

I am a huge fan of quality and I don’t promote mediocre or incomplete programs.

Now that’s a review…border line novel…lol. No, but really it is awesome to see someone at this point in their career after going through the Wealthy Affiliate training. This is a testament within itself and a level of professionalism for others to strive for.

I myself am a member of Wealthy Affiliate with hopes of reaching goals in the affiliate market game. I am not quite there yet and have been going through the training for five months now. It is hard work. There are times you start to wonder ,”Why am I really doing this?” Then you see what can be attained, what others have accomplished, and you set your goals a little higher and dig in!

Borderline novel. Yeah, it’s pretty long, but I could not show less. I believe you’re on the right path, Paul. I was wondering too in the past, especially when I got started, I thought that this online business “Thing” was fake. I really did. But when the first sales came in, I knew that this “Thing” was real.

It needs hard work, but this is a sign that the journey is well worth fighting for. The most beautiful things in life are hard to get them. If it was easy, then we would not be discussing it right now.

Keep setting new goals, keep educating, practicing, and applying into your business. I wanna wish you massive success within the online world!

That’s because the platform provides training, help, support, and quality tools. Anything you need to build a successful online business is here. Not only, WA gives people the chance to test the platform for free and they can stay as free members for as long as they like.

Keep educating and implementing to fast forward your results. All the best!

Seriously speaking this is the best platform for anyone who wants to achieve success in online marketing. A platform where as you learn you can earn . This platform is really helpful as I have gained d a lot of things through this platform, I have a website of my own and it is through this platform. Thanks Lok for being honest and kind. You must be grateful of your friend, as he introduced you to the BEST marketing platform in the world. And it’s exactly as you said, a place where you can earn while you learn. Something that Universities should consider as theory is not enough without implementation.

Keep working on your website and nothing can stop you. I wanna wish you all the best for your online endeavors.

So glad to meet another fellow WA member, Charles. I can see your enthusiasm for using the Wealthy Affiliate services and I know you are proud of being a member of this beautiful community. I am with WA since December 2014 and I’ve watched this company evolve in all areas. And they continue to do so.

WA is an extremely valuable resource in an ocean of mediocrity. To your success!

Hi AV2001, you’re very kind. I am thrilled that you found this review valuable, it really means a lot. You highlighted the most important features of Wealthy Affiliate successfully. WA offers so much help that no newbie falls behind. When I got started, I was asking questions all the time, and people were responding willingly to help me out. I am thankful for that and it played a big role in pushing me forward.

The training resources that you mentioned are absolutely endless. The main training modules, the classrooms, the live video classes, the video archive, the forum, WA members’ training, all contribute to helping people succeed.

It’s a marketing platform bundled with so many quality features that simply can’t be compared to other platforms.

Thank you for sharing this article with your network, this is awesome. Best wishes in your success journey!

I am a member more than a year and I am so satisfied for now. I would definitely recommend it to everyone who is looking to learn basics about affiliate marketing as it is one of the most popular ways to earn money online and most important to me, it is legit.
