Overview

The WA Training aims to help people succeed in affiliate marketing. This business model enables independent entrepreneurs or companies to earn commissions on products and services offered by 3rd parties. The final price of the product remains the same, and affiliate marketers don’t have to worry about delivery and customer service.

This is a great opportunity for those that don’t own a product, they simply can promote other companies products and earn commissions. In many cases, the commission rates are pretty lucrative reaching 70% (mostly for digital products), and there are recurring commissions for products that come in the form of monthly or yearly subscriptions.

It’s a very flexible business model with literally no restrictions as affiliates can promote as many companies as they want.

The training introduces to members the affiliate marketing world, and through a step by step structure full of actionable tasks and assignments get people to take action on what they learn.

It’s the ‘Earn while you Learn’ method.

The training expands on SEO, keyword research, niche and market research, WordPress, content creation, social media marketing, website development and programming, local marketing, video marketing, email marketing, pay per click marketing, and more.

There are 2 main training modules

  • Online Entrepreneur Certification – 2 courses of 10 lessons each
  • Affiliate Bootcamp – 7 phases of 10 lessons each

Additionally, there are Classrooms, and Live Video Classes that are held every Friday. These classrooms and video classes are what makes WA training stand above the competition as we’ll discover later on.

On top of that, members can publish their own trainings, blog posts, and ask any questions. The forum is very interactive and the live chat is pretty crowded with thousands of entrepreneurs discuss everything that has to do with online businesses at any given time and day.

This means you can get your questions answered in minutes or hours, where at the same time in other places and communities slow infrastructures result in a delay.

So let’s dive deep into the subject to find out why I recommend WA training as one of the best and most comprehensive marketing education modules online.

I will be giving you small review bites per lesson and at the end of the page I will give you a final review for all the training modules together.

Tasks:

  3. Understanding your membership

My Review:

This is the 1st lesson I’ve read when I first joined WA, back in December 2014.

To mention here, that before joining WA I’ve come across numerous other courses and trainings. None of them pointed me in the right direction, as this one. This course is a ‘Goldmine’ for people getting started online, and the 4 steps that WA mentions is an overview of how money can be made online with an affiliate website.

It’s easy to understand, straight to the point, and the most important thing is that there are tasks to complete, just like I do in the Digital Business RoadMap training, where there are tasks, quizzes, and assignments. Taking action is what makes people succeed.

The theory is only for daydreaming

The video lesson attached shows how WA works, what’s included in the membership, and explains the money making process

A must-read lesson for newbies. I still remember the excitement of going through this 1st lesson. I could not wait, I just had to read everything

Lesson 02 – Understanding how to make money online

Key points:

  • Before you earn money you have to be focusing on creating a niche website
  • Affiliate marketing process overview: Your audience searches for something in Google or in social networks, then visit your website, buy something you recommend, you earn commissions from vendors

Tasks:

  • Discuss the money making process on the forum with others
  • Write down your financial and non-financial goals

My review:

Again, a very straightforward lesson displays the basic framework of Affiliate Marketing. This is how you can tap into unlimited opportunities and make money without having to OWN products. A flexible business model with numerous benefits.

Lesson 03 – Choose a Niche

Key points:

  • What is a niche
  • A niche is a group of people

Extra Material:

Blog post: A niche is a group of people looking for stuff

Tasks:

  • Discussion thread: choosing your direction, it starts with a niche
  • Choose your direction

My Review:

A great introduction to niches and shows how you can narrow down broad markets into smaller targeted groups of people. The extra blog post gives more insights to help people decide a niche.

My objection

This chapter is only an overview of what niches really are. The lesson does not go much into details nor it provides examples with numbers and keywords. But this is a very important moment for people just getting started online. I remember feeling stuck at this point. I joined the conversation with other people in the discussion thread and this was when I started seeking answers to the inner forum and external resources online.

There are many other niche related resources on the WA forum and on the Video Classes series but newbies have to search manually for this material. Not everyone will do and fewer people will understand the importance of the subject.

That is why I take another approach to what niches are with my DBR training. I provide full market breakdowns from start to finish filled with numbers and keywords, demonstrating how we can narrow deep down the markets using 2 different techniques.

The DBR approach helps you understand better what niches really are and opens the path for unlimited opportunities, plus it helps you plan content creation much more effectively. On top of that it gets you in the direction of choosing a topic you really love and you’re excited about, and one that can get you faster results avoiding masses of competition.

Why am I doing this? because many people might fall in a trap and choose a super-competitive niche. In that case it would take more time before seeing any results and that may trigger a premature abandonment.

Notice:

The Video Classes archive is a ‘Goldmine’ of information regarding niches and everything related to online businesses. Jay Neill, the training director at WA shows exactly how he narrows down industries. There are many video classes on that particular subject with numbers, data, and keywords, but a part of this information should have been included in the basic getting started training.

Resume:

I suggest you take both trainings together, the WA and the DBR training to spot the best of niches with your first choice.

Lesson 04 – Building your Own Niche Website

Key points:

  • Introduction to the SiteRubix web builder (WordPress self-hosted sites on a Free SiteRubix sub-domain or on domain that you own)
  • Instructions on how to build a website using the builder in seconds
  • Analysis of the SiteRubix website and hosting features

Free members can access: SiteManager, SiteContent, SiteBuilder, SiteDomains

Premium members can access: SiteSpeed, SiteProtect, SiteSSL, SiteComments, SiteFeedback, SiteSupport

Tasks:

  • Build a website: Choose the kind of website, choose a domain, choose a website name, choose a design

My Review:

A very exciting chapter where you can build a website in seconds using the powerful SiteRubix builder. The instructions leave no space for questions and the analysis of the builder features is crucial.

Lesson 05 – Setting Up Your Website

Lesson 06 – Getting Your Site Ready for the Search Engines

  • Website rankings = targeted traffic = revenue

Tasks:

  • Setup the All-in-One SEO plugin
  • Discussion thread

My Review:

Another important lesson teaching newbies how to setup a popular SEO plugin in order to prepare the site for the engines. This is the plugin I use for SEO and it’s very easy to set it up. And as I have already mentioned in my DBR Training, the traffic coming from search engines is ‘Golden’, it’s the most valuable and targeted traffic a site can get. This should be your first priority when you’re getting started, besides this traffic is Free.

Lesson 07 – Creating Your Initial Website Content

Key points:

Search engines like Google, Bing & Yahoo are after ONE thing. The most relevant content.

Introduction to the SiteContent (a recently launched service) that makes blogging a lot easier. Full features

  • Duplicate content checker

Tasks:

  • Create your “About Me” page, the Privacy policy page

My Review:

Creating those initial pages is an important task if you want visitors to engage with your website. The SIteContent new service is easy to use, fun and has many features that you’ll enjoy.

  • Connect Jaaxy to the WA account (another recently launched service as Jaaxy was accessible only externally).
  • Perform 5 searches using Jaaxy
  • Find 5 keywords that meet the rules of ‘Quality Keywords’

Online Entrepreneur Certification – Level 1

Getting Started

Review

Right from the first lesson, the training analyzes how money can be made online with an affiliate website. Most people will find it exciting and they will take action based on the tasks provided.

The 2nd lesson goes deeper into the Affiliate Marketing definition and displays the enormous opportunity for common people all over the world.

The 3rd lesson is an introduction to ‘Niches’, the distinct segments of the market that we try to target with a website. This is only a brief summary of what ‘Niches’ really are. There are many other niche related resources in the classrooms and the live video classes but a part of this information should have been included in the main training module in order to help people decide a niche with low competition.

That is why I use another approach to ‘Niches’ with the DBR Free Training.

The 4th lesson introduces SiteRubix, a very powerful website builder with extended capabilities.

The 5th lesson analyzes the first steps you should take on WordPress.

The 6th lesson shows that we need rankings in the search engines to attract targeted traffic in order to turn it into revenue later on. Additionally, it expands on getting your site ready for SEO with the use of a free plugin.

The 7th lesson demonstrates how to create the initial pages of content on your WordPress site.

The 8th lesson expands on custom menus and how to use them to improve users’ experience.

The 9th lesson is all about keywords and how to use them to tap into unlimited opportunities. The tasks are necessary in order to turn theory into practice.

The 10th lesson is a recap of the course, and Kyle, the owner, reminds people what they have accomplished so far, he introduces the next training module and speaks about the premium WA membership.

All in all, this training module is a great introduction to making money online with affiliate marketing. Everything a newcomer needs is right there. My only objection is the ‘Niches’ related section. All the other chapters include all the necessary information for someone that wants to start an online business.

The course lives up to its promises (benefits and learning outcomes), it’s available for Free and Premium members and is one the best free trainings in the market.

I suggest that you take both the WA 1st training course and the DBR Training in order to spot the best of niches with your first choice.

Online Entrepreneur Certification – Level 2

Building your Own Traffic Producing Website

Review

The 1st lesson underlines the importance of owning a domain name.

The 2nd lesson shows how to transfer a Free SiteRubix domain on a domain that you own. A technical lesson.

The examples in the 3rd lesson and the tasks get people to take action on keywords. With these keywords, we can target segments of the market effectively with our content.

The 4th lesson is task oriented and gets people to setup domain-specific email accounts.

The 5th lesson is one of the most important lessons found in that module. Anyone can succeed online even without great English skills, and the extra material analyzes in deep the behavior of customers throughout their buying journey.

The 6th lesson expands on the importance of visuals.

The 7th lesson is extremely important as well as it shows how you can discover low-competition keywords for immediate results.

The 8th lesson shows how to increase your authority and brand name followed by tasks.

These 2 first training modules apply for those that want to start a website outside the ‘Make Money Online’ industry which is the most competitive.

I suggest that you take both the 2 Online Entrepreneur Certification Courses and the WA Affiliate Bootcamp training module that consists of 7 phases with 70 lessons in total.

Have in mind that the Bootcamp training is designed to direct people in the ‘Make Money Online’ industry but the methods analyzed there can be applied to any industry you want.

  • Create a privacy policy page
  • Create a menu

My Review:

Again, a detailed explanation of the SiteContent platform and its features. The extra video material leaves no space for questions, and the tasks keep members on ‘active’ mode.

Lesson 08 – Understanding the keyword research process

Key points:

  • Importance of keywords to your business
  • Tools that you need to find proper keywords
  • Introduction to Jaaxy
  • The 3 criterion your keywords must meet

Tasks:

  • Connect Jaaxy to your WA account
  • Research and find 5 keywords relating to your niche

My Review:

This lesson has been updated recently as Jaaxy is now part of the WA membership. But Jaaxy is optional as members can use the WA keyword research tool as well, or in combination. Both keyword tools are easy to use and share the same database of search engine results and statistics. Jaaxy is faster though offering extended capabilities.

I have already analyzed how powerful these 2 keyword tools are.

Lesson 09 – Creating thoughtful, insightful reviews

Key points:

  • Internet is the gateway to information
  • The 4 ‘Ciao’ principles to a great review

Tasks:

  • Choose a winning title for your review
  • Create a WA review and publish it

My Review:

This lesson although basic it provides a necessary framework for writing product reviews.

Lesson 10 – The exciting journey has begun

Key points:

  • What a long-term business looks like online
  • To know the road ahead, ask those coming back
  • Prelude to Phase 2 of the Bootcamp

Tasks:

  • Continue to Phase 2

My Review:

This lesson is a summary of what members accomplished so far and it expands on a future timeframe estimating the earning potential of a website based on consistent work.

WA Affiliate Bootcamp – Phase 1

Getting Your Business Rolling

Review

The 1st lesson aims to get people excited about their participation in the WA Affiliate Bootcamp. The tasks get people to set goals and the luxury Las Vegas incentive is a great motive to get people working right away.

The WA Affiliate program is one of the most lucrative in the online industry with high commissions and lifetime cookies.

The 2nd lesson helps people decide their direction within the ‘Make Money Online’ industry by discussing audiences and niches. This part of the training is way more comprehensive than the 1st Online Entrepreneur Certification Course – lesson 03.

The 3rd lesson is a full demonstration of the SiteRubix platform with its extended features and capabilities. One of the best and most complete web builders bundled with major marketing tools.

The 4th lesson shows the first steps members should take on WordPress. The external niche sites Kyle showcases are examples that point people in the right direction.

The 5th lesson is technical and shows how to activate the first plugins on WordPress.

The 6th lesson analyzes how to setup your website to be ready for SEO.

The 7th lesson is an introduction to the SiteContent feature, part of the SiteRubix platform. The video tutorial expands on creating custom menus and navigation. Very detailed analysis.

The 8th lesson is all about keywords, our best friends in this online journey. Kyle, introduces Jaaxy, a very powerful keyword and niche research suite that now is part of the WA community.

The 9th lesson gives a basic framework for people interested in writing reviews.

The 10th lesson is a summary of the training module and a prelude to the 2nd Bootcamp phase.

All in all, a very detailed training module full of examples, keywords, and tasks to complete. A ‘Goldmine’ of information that is available for Free and premium members as well. The training lives up to its promises (benefits and learning outcomes).

You don’t wanna miss this particular training, one of the best Free trainings showing people how to make money with affiliate marketing.

In phase 2 of the WA Affiliate Bootcamp, our main focus is going to be on content. This includes the actual creation of content on your site, how to make it presentable and readable, how to leverage “keywords” to create content that ranks, and how to make your content to convert.

There is a big difference between just creating content and creating quality content that carries a substantial benefit. Upon completing this course, you are going to be prepared for a world of success with your content.

Course benefits and learning outcomes

  • How to Make Your Content a Wonderful Reader Experience
  • The 6 Rules for Creating Quality Content
  • Mastering Conversions Through Your Content Flow
  • How to Avoid the Biggest Visual Mistakes on Your Website
  • Properly Using Affiliate Links so Everyone Benefits
  • Maximizing Your Profits By Leveraging Products That You Are NOT Promoting

Lesson 01 – Creating readable content that converts

Key points:

  • 6 things that make up a quality page or post

Tasks:

  • Create 1 blog post
  • Make your existing content more beautiful

My Review:

Another important lesson defining the criteria for a great user experience, which should be your main focus going on forward. Again, the tasks are for those that want to speed up their results.

Lesson 02 – Properly using affiliate links

Key points:

  • Understanding proper use of affiliate links can benefit you in many different ways
  • Making money from everything you do

Tasks:

  • Shortening your affiliate links
  • Centralizing your main promotions
  • Discussion thread

My Review:

This lesson helped me understand the usage of affiliate links. I have already analyzed my techniques in a previous article, Affiliate links for blogs – best techniques for maximum conversions.

Lesson 03 – Understanding keywords & a day of selling

Key points:

  • Understanding the importance of keywords
  • Alphabet soup technique

Tasks:

  • Do a bit of research on ‘selling’ keywords
  • Write a natural article that targets a new keyword
  • Sign-up for a Free Jaaxy account
  • Discussion thread

My Review:

This lesson blew my mind away. The Alphabet soup technique is worth $1,000s alone. This is how you can tap into unlimited niches, sub-niches, and micro-niches.

Recently Kyle updated the alphabet soup technique with a new 2018 edition.

Lesson 04 – Creating reviews using targeted keywords

Key points:

  • What kind of searches people perform in Google

Tasks:

  • Create a template for your reviews and posts
  • Create a spreadsheet for reviews, pages, affiliate links

My Review:

This lesson is very important as it dives deep into keywords, and why people perform certain types of searches. This is how you can target effectively groups of people within any given niche. The tasks again motivate people to take action and help members organize their ideas using spreadsheets.

Lesson 05 – Take a break, catch up

Tasks:

  • Catch up on any unfinished tasks
  • Take a break

My Review:

Not a typical lesson with new information. This is a reminder that breaks from work are very important. This is why I enjoy being a member of this beautiful community.

Lesson 06 – Backing up your website

Key points:

  • Every website hosted here at Wealthy Affiliate offers with full redundancy, which means that w, in essence,e are running two exactly the same versions of your website at all times on different servers. If one goes down, the other will automatically take over leading to ZERO downtime.
  • We also automatically back up your websites daily. You never know when you are going to need to rollback to an earlier version of your website because of an erroneous update that you might accidentally initiate on your site and our SiteSupport team can help you out if you ever are in need of help.
  • Backing up your site with plugins

Tasks:

  • Backup your site

My Review:

Backups are a very important aspect of WordPress sites, but at WA you don’t have to really worry about that as they do backups on your behalf. But in order to be 100% sure you have to keep your own back-ups. I do that once in a while using a free plugin.

The hosting service is excellent and I hardly noticed my site going down a few times. In those cases, the support team resolved the issues in under 15 minutes.

Lesson 07 – Enhancing your website experience

Key points:

  • How to get people to visit several pages on your website

Tasks:

  • Add a drop-down menu
  • Organize your sidebar

My Review:

Another lesson that focuses on the user experience.  If visitors feel like home expect awesome results in this online journey. The search engines and people will reward you.

Lesson 08 – Building more content through internal links

Key points:

  • Going through the existing content on your site is an excellent way to build out your site.

Tasks:

  • Create a list of 5 content ideas from your existing pages
  • Create a new post based on your new idea
  • Interlink to this post

My Review:

Internal linking is a huge chapter and I have already analyzed my tactics in a previous post, improving SEO and UX by using internal links. The WA training continues to cover all the important aspects of this business model.

Lesson 09 – Write a review and share it

Tasks:

  • Write a product review
  • Share your review in the discussion thread

My Review:

This lesson is task oriented and gives members a space to share ideas on product reviews. Kyle shows examples of his external niche websites.

Lesson 10 – Offering bonuses the easy WA

Key points:

  • Before you build a skyscraper, you need a foundation to support it

Tasks:

  • Incorporate bonuses on your review pages
  • Update your WA referral messaging
  • Take a 10-day break

My Review:

Bonuses are a great tool in the hands of marketers and website owners. Of course, the WA training focuses on promoting WA in your reviews, but these techniques can be used to promote any products in any given niche.

WA Affiliate Bootcamp – Phase 2

Content, Keywords, and Conversions

Review

The 1st lesson shows things that make up a quality page or post followed by tasks.

The 2nd lesson explores the usage of affiliate links and how to use them properly without sacrificing the user experience.

The 3rd lesson is a ‘Goldmine’. It expands on keywords and the ‘Alphabet Soup Technique’ that Kyle uses to dominate any niche of the market.

The 4th lesson goes deeper into keywords and gives templates for reviews, pages, and affiliate links. Very detailed analysis, as always.

The 5th lesson is only a reminder that breaks are important as well.

The 6th lesson is technical and shows how to backup WordPress sites on your own. Although WA provides backups for all the members this is a task you should handle on your own as well.

The 7th lesson deals with user experience and how to improve it.

The 8th lesson analyzes internal links and how to build more content based on what you already did. Awesome stuff!

The 9th lesson is task oriented and gets people to publish a review and share it in the WA discussion thread.

The 10th lesson is all about bonuses. A great tool in the hands of every marketer.

All in all, another great training module that lives up to its promises (benefits and learning outcomes). The training goes deeper into the affiliate world and provides methods that if applied can lead to the ultimate online success.

A very important lesson that I suggest you go through at least 2 times. If you get this course right then everything will get easier going forward.

WA Affiliate Bootcamp – Phase 3

Giving your site Social Value

(available for Premium members only)

all the lessons are delivered in both text and video format

Course Description

If you have a website that has quality content, you need to make sure that your visitors can share that content. In this phase, we are going to be discussing a variety of social aspects that you can incorporate into your site to make it more social, more engaging, and that you can use to get more reach (and traffic).

Course benefits and learning outcomes

  • How to Add Social Plugins to Your Website
  • The True Benefits of Going “Social”
  • What Social Networks You Need to Use and Which Ones to Avoid
  • How to Write Content That is Socially Engaging
  • Effective Sharing Techniques
  • Creating a Website That is Socially Friendly With Google
  • The Financial Benefit to Contributing to WA

Lesson 01 – Making your site social with plugins

Key points:

  • There are several different ways you can scale traffic to your website, and leveraging not just social networks, but being more social within your content is going to help you accomplish this.

Tasks:

  • Adding a social plugin
  • Setup your social accounts
  • Share your website with your social profiles

My Review:

A great introduction to the importance of social media. Brands with social presence outperform those that are inactive. WA continues to point people in the right direction.

Lesson 02 – Making your social profiles brand-friendly

Key points:

  • Remember that every place you can add additional reach and branding to your website is going to lead to additional traffic and conversions, so all of these social profiles (within your social networks) are going to add up.

Tasks:

  • Update your Facebook profile
  • Update your Twitter profile
  • Update your G+ profile to include your website

My Review:

The lesson although basic it’s an introduction to social media, and how you can approach those networks to your benefit. Don’t underestimate social media, only a post to go viral and there you are, instant recognition.

Lesson 03 – How to create socially engaging content

Key points:

  • People like to read content that is interactive and feels as though it is engaging with them personally, so that is going to be one of our major focuses going forward.

Tasks:

  • Create a socially engaging post
  • Share your new post socially
  • Add the post to the WA thread for discussion

My Review:

WA follows the principles of their own training and motivates members to share their new posts in a dedicated thread. Kyle in his video instructions gives insights on his external niche websites. This is how you can turn theory into results.

Lesson 04 – It’s all about making friends with Google

Key points:

Being active on your Google+ account is going to lead to MANY benefits going forward. These include:

  1. Better Rankings in Google
  2. Build up Your Author Value in Google (as you create quality content)
  3. Faster Indexing in Google
  4. A more trustworthy relationship with Google (they don’t like anonymity)

Tasks:

  • Setup a G+ account
  • Add yourself as the contributor to the sites
  • Share a post to G+

My Review:

Although Kyle has already referred to social networks, he’s underlining the importance of going social on G+, because this is the dominant search engine.

Lesson 05 – Take a social hiatus

Tasks:

  • Take a break
  • Join the discussion on the thread …”Unlocking brand marketing angles”.

My Review:

Another break is suggested. The extra thread comes handy for those that want to expand their marketing horizons. I can’t reveal any more information on that matter.

Lesson 06 – Power writing gone wild

Key points:

  • Today you are going to test your writing skills and see how much content you can put together in a set amount of time.
  • Speed writing in this way can lead you to more overall productivity.

Tasks:

  • Write for the next 30 minutes
  • Post your results on the discussion thread

My Review:

I was not expecting such a lesson but Kyle again surprises me. An innovative piece of training on social behavior and productivity. Absolutely awesome, this is why I love WA.

Lesson 07 – Adding Google analytics to your site

Key points:

  • Most people try to focus on data too early and it stalls their progress because of “paralysis by analysis”.
  • In other words, there is no point in analyzing data until you have enough of it where you can see some real visitor habits.

Tasks:

  • Create a Google analytics account
  • Install the code on your site
  • Create one new post/page

My Review:

The lesson is only an introduction to the analytics world. Extended information in analytics you can track in the Live Video Classes archive.

Kyle is pointing people in the right direction again, as analyzing data before you even have some decent traffic may bring very negative results.

Lesson 08 – Leveraging the Jaaxy affiliate program

Key points:

Tasks:

  • Setup a Jaaxy account
  • Create a blog post that is relevant in order to promote Jaaxy
  • Incorporate the Jaaxy search plugin to your site

My Review:

This lesson is task oriented and I have analyzed how powerful is Jaaxy. Of course, WA focuses on promoting their own keyword suite, but this lesson can be a perfect example of how you can leverage any affiliate program in the marketplace and create relevant content to promote it.

Lesson 09 – Making promotional use of your sidebar

Key points:

  • How to leverage widgets on your website to add banners, images, and other types of media to the sidebar area on your website

Tasks:

  • Select a WA banner
  • Add it to the sidebar
  • Create a new product review post

My Review:

Another area you can promote products and services on a WordPress website is the sidebar area. See my blog page. I use the sidebar to promote WMS posts and other companies products as well. You’re not restricted, you can do whatever you want.

Of course, at the end of the lesson WA focuses on promoting the WA banners, but this is how you’re going to promote any company out there using their banners and imagery.

Lesson 10 – Build, build, and build!

Key points:

  • The work does not stop here

Here are some things that you can work on in the next 20 days.

  • Build More Pages on Your Site (build out your main menu)
  • Continue creating product reviews
  • Socially share content regularly from WA
  • Continue writing timely and interesting blog posts
  • Be Timely With Your Responses to Website Comments
  • Be Active in the Bootcamp Discussion threads & Affiliate Classroom
  • Enhance and Improve Upon Existing Page
  • Start focusing on the analytics of your website
  • Create MORE content
  • Did I mention create more content

Discussion thread:

  • The one way you can get good at anything….”PRACTICE”.

My Review:

Kyle congratulates members for reaching the end of phase 3 but also reminds them how important is to keep on working towards your goals.

WA members are constantly motivated to move on forward.

WA Affiliate Bootcamp – Phase 3

The 2nd lesson expands on the usage of social media networks.

The 3rd lesson goes deeper into the user experience and how you can improve your writing to make people interact with your content.

The 4th lesson returns on G+ because it’s the dominant search engine and how you can leverage the G+ network to your advantage.

The lesson expands on rating stars, screenshots, and charts and how to design them for free online.

  • Create at least 5 more pins and organize them into appropriate categories

My Review:

Pinterest is one of my favorite social networks. Easy to use and full of images can be used to capture the attention of unlimited groups of people. A basic introduction to the network by Kyle that focuses on the tasks.

Lesson 03 – Leveraging WA videos for conversions

My Review:

Video is one of the top channels for all modern marketers. You can’t go without it. Again the focus is on promoting WA videos but this method can be applied to any of your promotions if the companies you promote include videos in their database.

Alternatively, you can produce your own videos to promote any company.

The extra material shows why SIteRubix is one of the most powerful web builders and how easy is to setup a new website in 30 seconds.

Video: How to build a WordPress site in 30 seconds or less

Lesson 04 – Creating Logos and Images

Key points:

  • The use of images and your own personal logo on your website can have a positive impact on your brand, but can also have a negative impact as well.
  • How to build text-based graphics & logos using free online tools

Tasks:

  • Using cool text to add text-based images to your site
  • Create a logo
  • Add it to your site

My Review:

An important lesson introducing text-based graphics and logos using free online tools.

Lesson 05 – Give yourself a break

My Review:

Another reminder of the importance of taking breaks from work.

Lesson 06 – Create an effective Jaaxy review

Key points:

  • A Jaaxy review that rocks

Tasks:

  • Create a Jaaxy review
  • Share it on social

My Review:

Jaaxy is one of the best keyword research tools. The lesson focuses on promoting Jaaxy but you can apply the tactics mentioned in any of your promotions.

Here’s my Jaaxy review.

Lesson 07 – Research keywords with Jaaxy, then show & tell

Tasks:

  • Research and find 5 Jaaxy appropriate keywords

Lesson 08 – Pinning habits lead to Pinterest power

Key points:

  • Go Pin Crazy
  • Creating a powerful Pinterest account

Tasks:

  • Beefing up your boards
  • Follow at least 10 people
  • Pin at least 5 pages via your affiliate links
  • Discussion thread: let’s network on Pinterest

My review:

Kyle expands on the usage of Pinterest showing methods that actually work. And the reason I’m saying this is because Pinterest is the one most valuable social channels, as I had received not only traffic but earned links to my site as well. On top of that including some affiliate links in only 1-2 boards out of the 20 I’m making money promoting products that are either relevant to my site or not.

This is the true power of affiliate promotions and every social network can be turned into an opportunity. You can discover my methods registering for the Free DBR training.

And again, you can utilize the WA inner discussion thread to connect with WAers on Pinterest, increasing your visibility and your reach on the social network.

My Review:

A great lesson in which Kyle shows the tools he uses, both free and paid options and the devices someone can use to record videos.

The last task focuses on promoting WA using videos, but again, you can apply these methods to promote any company.

Lesson 10 – A lesson on customer perspective

Key points:

  • What are people thinking?

  • The next 20 days

Tasks:

  • Create content, do keyword research, video development, site maintenance and improvements, managing social profiles, new education

My Review:

This is a very important lesson analyzing the customer’s perspective and how we can utilize that method to our advantage. The lessons now expand into new areas like customer relationships and conversions.

That lesson alone is a ‘Goldmine’ and Kyle shows the exact methods he uses to gain traffic and make people trust him.

The tasks at the end of the lesson is a reminder that WA keeps members on ‘Active’ mode.

WA Affiliate Bootcamp – Phase 4

Get Visual, Get Aesthetic, Get a Brand Through…

Review

The 1st lesson is an introduction to web design showing free online tools you can use to create appealing graphics.

The 2nd lesson is all about Pinterest, one of my favorite social networks. Kyle demonstrates his personal Pinterest account and how he uses it to maximize conversions. An over his shoulder training you should not miss.

The 3rd lesson is about implementing video into your promotions. The last chapter focuses on the SiteRubix builder and how easy is to build websites in less than 30 seconds.

The 4th lesson expands on new design tools for creating logos and images. A necessary video walkthrough helps members understand the whole process.

Another break is suggested with the 5th lesson.

The 6th lesson goes back to Jaaxy and how to promote it within your content. Very detailed video instructions as always.

The 7th lesson expands on Jaaxy and how to find low-competition keywords. These methods can be applied to any industry making that part of the training invaluable

The 8th lesson returns to Pinterest going deeper this time. The tasks get people in action and help them create a powerful social profile. Pinterest is huge and you should include it in your everyday activities.

The 9th lesson is about creating your own videos using free online tools or the devices you already have.

The 10th lesson is helping members understand the customer perspective and how to utilize that knowledge to their advantage. A ‘Goldmine’ of information.

All in all, another comprehensive training, this time going deeper into the online business world. My favorite lesson is the last one where Kyle shows his expertise and guides marketers to understand their customers better. Of course, you can imagine, that understanding customers will lead to more engagement, conversions, and revenue.

Another great chapter is the 7th where Kyle displays how to track low-competition keywords.

A training that you should pay close attention to.

WA Affiliate Bootcamp – Phase 7

How to Scale Successful PPC Campaigns

Review

The 1st lesson expands on Google Adwords this time, another very popular advertising network that you can leverage in order to get targeted traffic. Very detailed instructions.

The 2nd lesson is about understanding the Google Adwords opportunity. An amazing lesson where Kyle defines important criteria for successful PPC campaigns.

The 3rd lesson is helping members maximize their review pages with PPC. The tasks get people take action on what they learn. Again, these methods can be applied to any industry.

The 4th lesson expands on analysis, besides analysis is infused in all of your activities. You have to know what’s working and what’s not. The lesson goes deeper into WA promotions and how to use comparison charts.

The 5th lesson goes deeper into the PPC world and the importance of relevance. Another gift is awaiting members, a PPC checklist, awesome stuff!

The 6th lesson shows another approach to PPC. Kyle demonstrates how he finds unlimited opportunities using keywords.

The 7th lesson analyzes the direct linking method in contrast with the non-direct linking method. A theory oriented lesson that you should take very seriously.

Back to mathematics with the 8th lesson. I love this business model.

The 9th lesson analyzes the differences between SEO and PPC. Step by step instructions and plenty of live site examples.

The 10th lesson is about scaling up PPC successful campaigns.

All in all, a very detailed training module deeper into the PPC world. Have in mind that paid advertising is not for beginners as there is a risk of losing money. But PPC is a method used by thousands of companies and for the majority of them is the most valuable resource for traffic.

This is Where the Main Wealthy Affiliate Training Comes to an End

2 modules of 10 lessons each plus 7 phases of 10 lessons each
90 lessons in total

But this is Only a Part of the WA Training

There are Classrooms and Live Video Classes

Now Let’s Recap

Is the WA Training One that Can Lead People to Online Success?

Final Review of the Main WA Training

All the lessons with no exception are followed by tasks and assignments and point people to inner separate discussion threads. This means we have to do with interactive training where members post questions, show their progress, exchange ideas and solve problems. It’s very important to follow other people that started before you and to get help whenever needed.

All the lessons come with detailed video walkthroughs by Kyle, the owner. He is showing all the methods he uses to get rankings for his external niche sites and he helps people understand the whole money making system step by step.

That training is for those that want to build an online business based on the affiliate marketing model where you don’t have to own products or to worry about delivery and customer service. A very flexible business model with countless benefits that we already analyzed.

The training modules cover these areas:

  • Basic understanding of the money-making process
  • How to choose a direction (niche)
  • The SiteRubix web builder and its features
  • First steps to WordPress and plugins, backups
  • Initial content pages, Custom menus
  • Keywords (many lessons devoted to keywords)
  • How to use the WA membership and features
  • Domains, email accounts
  • SEO (extended lessons and examples), affiliate links, internal links
  • Content creation (extended training)
  • Traffic (extended lessons and examples)
  • User experience, engagement, interaction, customers buying journey, customer perspective
  • Visuals, graphics, logos, images, web design
  • Social media (G+, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest)
  • Reviews
  • Conversions, tracking
  • Bonuses
  • Productivity, planning
  • Video marketing
  • PPC marketing (many approaches and methods shared)
  • Analysis

The Verdict

Have in mind that this is the training that got me started in the online world 3 years ago. And still, I get back to it on many occasions to refresh my memory and to exchange ideas with other entrepreneurs in the classrooms. On top of that, I try to watch the Live Video Classes held by Jay Neill every Friday or the replays.

But of course, no training is perfect.

Objections

I would expect a more detailed explanation of ‘Niches’ as I have already highlighted at the beginning of this page.

There is extended information on this subject but members have to retrieve it manually in the classrooms and the live video classes archive.

The Bootcamp is 7 phases long while the online entrepreneur certification consists of only 2 phases. The Bootcamp is focused on promoting WA with a ‘Make Money Online’ site, and the online entrepreneur certification is for people that want to build a site in any niche they want.

This structure may lead newcomers to join the Bootcamp training which is more comprehensive instead of going through the online entrepreneur certification courses. As the majority of newbies won’t be able to discover a niche in which they are passionate about due to the lack of crucial information they might get involved in a ‘Make Money Online’ site, a segment of the market that is very saturated.

Of course, people going through all of the courses, like me, will be able to apply the Bootcamp techniques in any niche, but the majority of people will get lost.

Parts of the premium main training modules provide only basic knowledge, for example, training on design or video marketing. I would expect more content on these subjects.

I would expect the training to expand on more social networks. It refers only to the 4 most popular engines, G+, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. The Pinterest and the G+ trainings are more thorough, the Twitter and Facebook chapters are only a summary of those networks.

The Good Things

No objection to keywords, SEO, content creation, PPC, traffic methods, conversions, tracking, and WordPress. All these lessons provide a powerful framework to work on in order to scale a website.

In fact, there is so much information that you’d always discover new techniques to implement.

And this is what makes the WA training so powerful. These are the most important aspects of an online business. Keywords, SEO, traffic, PPC, conversions. If you get these right you don’t have to worry about going social or other methods.

Furthermore, the lessons dedicated to the SiteRubix platform are very comprehensive and don’t leave space for questions.

All in all, it’s the training that helped me achieve online success, and I believe it can do the same for you. Only have in mind 1 thing. The ‘Make Money Online’ niche is very competitive and it takes more time to build an authority name.

In the next page, we’ll be discussing WA classrooms, and the Live Video Classes in order to gather all the training modules together. There is so much more information hiding there and this is why WA members call Wealthy Affiliate a University.
