Crazy Business Predictions & SOS Platforms

Before you get me wrong let me tell you how it all started.

I was downtown driving back home, it was late at night and I stopped to grab a bite from a local snack shop.

When I left the shop, I noticed 2 policemen talking to a lady next to my car. After a few seconds, they stepped into their car and the lady started crying.

I asked her if she is OK and if she needs any help.

She said…this can’t be happening.

This is when I realized she was a prostitute by the way she was dressed.

I said, what are you talking about?

She said, don’t worry, I’ll be OK.

I said, maybe I can help if you tell me. I am not in a hurry.

She said…they told me I should not work on this street, that I should choose a small alley instead although it’s illegal everywhere.

I said…why don’t you work in such an alley?

She said…there is no traffic there, that’s why I came down here, I can’t work in an alley, I would starve to death.

I said…I think I can help.

Really? how? and why?

I said, this is my job, I help businesses sell more of their products and services and you are actually an entrepreneur.

She could not stop herself from laughing.

Am I an entrepreneur? Hahaha, I never thought of it this way.

You are, it’s a business. You provide services in exchange for money. Illegally but yes, at its core, it’s a business. Unless you work for someone else, in this case, you are an employee or you may be getting paid a percentage of profits, this makes you a partner (in crime).

She said…I’m all alone, OK, let’s say I let you help me, how much would you charge me?

I said…nothing at this point. My first consultation is free of charge. Then, if you get results, I will charge you a percentage of your profits or something like that and we can discuss it further.

Wow, she said, I wonder if you are hiding anything.

Don’t worry, I said, this is how I work with any business, and I gave her my card. Call me and we’ll see what we can do.

OK, she said. I may call you and she smiled.

I said, great, good night and be careful, and I left.

How I Helped a Prostitute Increase Her Sales

The 1st phone-call

I was wondering if she would ever call, after 2-3 weeks I thought she never will. But it was an incident I would remember forever.

And she called, after a month or so.

She said…hi, I’m X, we met there, and we discussed. 

I said…hey Mrs. X, how are you? 

She said…I would need a little help, I don’t have many clients lately, and working on the alleys is not an option anymore, and it’s dangerous as well.

I said…where do you provide your services?

She said…in cars, hotels, and my apartment.

I said…do you have any ad online? or any website?

She said…yes, I do have one ad but no website.

I said…OK, send me the link to your ad, I want to perform a little research for you.

I asked…is anyone calling you from this ad?

Just a few clients, now and then, nothing significant.

OK, let me do my research and I’ll call you back.

She said, OK, and you said you won’t charge me any money, right?

I said, yes, this is our deal.

Researching XXX ads and a plan

I devoted the next few hours searching for erotic ads online, what an experience. But I learned a lot.

I discovered some interesting things and some patterns.

Then, I studied Mrs. X’s ad and I prepared a few new scripts to read to her.

I called her

I said…in your ad you say that your working hours are from 6 pm to midnight. Are you willing to work beyond midnight or earlier?

She said…hmm, I don’t know, I’m not even sure if I can.

I asked…what do you do when it’s midnight? are you shutting your phone down?

She said…yes, besides I don’t receive any calls during these hours, the next day I don’t have any notifications.

I said…OK, let’s do some tests.

We will change the script and we will create ads on various properties, not just the website you already use. The majority of them are free so we will start with the free options.

Also, I want you to shoot some new photos and I explained what I had in mind.

Additionally, I want you to re-decorate your apartment and shoot new photos showing your brand new space.

Another thing we can do is to target a specific group of people, not the whole population.

She said…but this way we might lose customers.

Don’t worry, I said. We have to do these tests to find out what the market needs.

I explained that by targeting a specific group of people, she will be setting herself as an authority in the space. Providing exclusive services as XYZ would be enough to separate her from the crowd. Not only, but she would be able to target wealthier customers and get paid handsomely for similar services.

I said…And don’t forget to leave your phone in the do-not-disturb mode, do not shut it down. We need to notice down the exact hours people are calling you from now on.

And then, after those tests, we will be in a position to justify if the new “premium” service we are going to promote would work or not in a new way.

What is this new way? she asked.

I said, don’t worry about that now.

She said…cool, let’s do this. I’m ready. You sound like you know what you’re talking about.

I said…we’ll see. Don’t rush things, we may hit a wall.

And so we proceeded based on my plan…I gave her instructions to create new ads on certain properties, she had to decorate her room, shoot new photos, and prepare mentally for the new service I suggested.

I am not revealing what this new service is and what groups of people we targeted (more on that in my conclusion).

Our Results

  • After a few days, her phone began to ring more frequently
  • She created a detailed list of all the phone calls
  • They were calling long after midnight, and she took a few calls to test things out
  • She arranged meetings with wealthier customers, some of them even gave her presents, like a dress, new shoes, a ring
  • She also had customers from other cities that were traveling
  • The hotel meetings increased
  • In 2 months, she stopped working on the streets
  • The new service we promoted and the new scripts were the main reasons for the new calls, customers were saying things like…hey X, I saw an ad that says you do XYZ, and your photos are amazing, are you available tonight?

In 2 months, her sales increased dramatically and she was happy, to say the least.

I asked her if she is ready to provide the new service in a different way and she said yes. I explained that she had to pay me upfront this time.

She was so eager to pay me because I already helped her without asking anything in return. And not only did she pay my regular fees, but she also added a few hundred euros as a gesture to thank me for my services.

A win-win situation by all means.

Final Thoughts

It was the first time for me to work on such a “weird” project. But I believe there’s nothing wrong with it. I just helped someone do more business. That’s all.

She is a prostitute, but it’s a business. In fact, it’s one of the most ancient business models that won’t go away anytime soon.

We had these amazing results due to the research I performed and some ideas that worked really well. Still, there is room for improvement.

Now, as concerns the new service she is providing and that’s her unfair advantage, I won’t reveal it. It would be a steal for me.
