Last time we discussed how Tricia Brouk helped thousands of speakers take the TEDx stage. And that didn’t happen by mistake. Tricia is an award-winning director, author, and producer with huge experience.
We talk about 3 decades in Showbiz in New York City working in film, television, and theater.
She was the Executive Producer of TEDxLincolnSquare for two years. A nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago. It had its final performance in 2018.
At that time, Tricia decided to produce her own events and shows and she curates the Speaker Salon in NYC. The Big Talk Speaker Salon happens in NYC, twice a year. Think open mic night for speakers, you get on stage each and every week in order to try out your new material in front of Tricia and fellow Salon members.
A program where she puts speakers onto a stage, literally for 6 weeks and it culminates in a showcase for TEDx organizers, Speaker Bureaus, television producers, publishers, and agents. It’s epic.
She has put more than 50 speakers onto more than twenty TEDx stages. And one of her speakers landed two TEDx stages in only 5 months. So, she decided to interview three of her speakers about their experience going through the process.
These are interviews you won’t find anywhere else, Tricia has shared them privately with me and a few of her partners. Only students of her community have access to this material. And now I’m sharing those interviews with you.
By going through these interviews, you’ll be able to see behind the curtain what goes into preparing a TEDx appearance. You’ll also see how Tricia is doing an incredible job in helping her speakers identify their big idea, craft, and produce emotional, professional, and transformational talks.
