They want to build skills for a professional career, they want to know how to start a business, how to self-improve in many areas, enjoy new hobbies.
Now, that does not mean you have to be the expert, you could but it’s not necessary. If you’re not an expert you do research, you learn more about a topic, you bring in experts and eventually you become one.
The advantages are countless: low overhead, great margins, low cost, you can get going fast, you can generate customers through the internet, without relying on foot traffic, you are not relying on local factors, geography or other factors, and you can do it from anywhere in the world.

Start little by little. Do small things every day to get you moving forward. Stay healthy, educate yourself, plan your next financial moves. Get stability and from there you can dream bigger.
Be creative from now on and upgrade your current skills. There is always somebody out there that wants what you already got.

The franchises that are currently thriving are in the service-based space. The huge advantage is the quick cash flow.
Like housing exterior painting, or roofing installations, restoration businesses, and even haircutting.
Less risk, less capital
Retail businesses are riskier. You need space, long-term lease, upfront capital, employees, equipment. but there are people investing in retail-based franchises. But they know it would take a long time before they open up, before they actually see cash flowing.
On the other hand, service-based franchises are more flexible. The typical fee ranges from $30,000 to $50,000. then you need to add equipment, employees, and other costs. Roughly, it would cost something around $100,000/
Governments need entrepreneurs to open up new businesses and keep the economy runnings they will hire people, generate revenue, etc.
Banks are also open to loans and other long-term programs to ease the process even further.
The BIG advantage of running a business
Erik analyzes the following example…
Let’s say you were working in a job. You were getting paid $100,000 a year. Suddenly, a disaster comes in, like covid, they lay you off. You may get a little money for compensation. That’s all. You need to restart.
Now let’s imagine that you own a business that is giving you $100,000 a year, the same amount of money. Something happens and you need to get out. Now you have the chance to sell this business to someone else that might want to buy. You can sell 2X, 3X, 4X, or even more. Now you have $400,000 to go on and do something else.

A micro-brand is selling what might be the same exact thing as somebody else is selling but to a very specific group of people.
Speak the truth and attract those who will believe in what you stand for. Differentiate yourself by speaking only to a specific group of people. the product does not need to be different, your language does.
And always be on the lookout for emerging trends.

In times like this you need to evaluate your business status and your assets.
