I have joined ySense not long ago and since then I am using their services, but not on a daily basis due to my restricted free time. This is a PTC (Paid To Click) advertising platform and has been on the market for 8 years, since 2007. Anyone can join for free and get paid to view ads, complete offers or tasks, play video or other games, take surveys (occasional) and by referring or recommending other people to join this network, just like with downlines.
ySense Network – is it a Legit Program or a Scam
Website: ySense
The PTC websites are the mediums between customers (visitors) and advertisers. The advertiser place an ad on the PTC website, a customer visits the PTC site and view the ad. A part of the advertiser’s payment goes out to the customer. It’s a pretty simple payment cycle.
I have not reached yet my payout threshold so I can’t tell you 100% that this is a site that pays. But I researched online for various reviews and I did not find any negative comment so far. Many of those reviews belong to people that I know, bloggers and marketers that I speak with and trust. I even took it one step further and discussed with some of them, all assured me that this is a legitimate site that DO pays.
In fact, ySense is among the most popular PTC sites over the web and they have been around for 8 years, this is a clear element of status.
Update 17 July 2017
This is the new homepage
Can You Make Money by Viewing Ads?
I want to stay as transparent as I can because a lot of people find the idea of viewing ads and get paid during their free time very tempting and appealing. And it is.Who does not want to make some bucks while laying on the bed or resting after a long day out?
And yes, ySense gives you an opportunity to participate for free and get paid in real money but there are some things to consider before you decide to join this site or any other similar network.
In order to make it clearer, we may take a look at the Pros and Cons of this Opportunity
PROS
- A well-organized site with a good reputation earned through the years with millions of members
- There are multiple features and ways to earn money (view ads, complete tasks and offers, grid game, video games, surveys)
- The Clixsense Research is another section on this website and is an alternative way to completing surveys and get cash or rewards.
- There is an active forum that you can read old and new threads, ask questions and get in communication with the administrators. You can, therefore, check for payment complaints or other problems posted by members or users (if any).
- There is an affiliate program to join for free and refer people to build a downline.
- ySense pays currently through Paypal.Plenty of options here. I use PayPal for many years with no problem at all.
Update 17 July 2017
PayPal has been removed. The available options at the moment are: Payoneer, Skrill, Tango Card and Payza
CONS
- Although the payout threshold is set to $8, that level cannot be reached easily by someone alone in a timely manner.
- The ads, the tasks, and the offers do pay but the time you spend on them is something you have to consider.
- The surveys are very rare, at least in my case, still, I have not completed one. But the surveys belong to other companies that usually run a pre-survey qualification test. If you don’t match the demographics, age or other criteria set for a particular survey you are kicked out and get paid nothing. Most of the times the surveys are a waste of time. But this is how they work. We can’t blame ySense for that, besides the network’s main service is centred on ads.
Update 22 Oct 2016
I received many surveys during the last 2 months as I was using their services more often. And I received a payment as well.
- Some of the ads that are displayed for you to watch and get paid belong to Scam marketing products.I have already reviewed many, mostly Binary Options Trading Software. But we can’t blame ySense even for that.ySense needs money to place the ads, they want to advertise their crap. This is the system, we have to take it as is.
- Be sure to click the ads but do not take the risk to participate in these sites that are advertised. Only proceed with extra caution and do your research online for reviews to find out if they are legitimate offers or scams.
- Have in mind also that the quantity of the offered ads changes from country to country.
The ySense Premium Membership
Clixsense offers a premium account option for $17 per year. A logical price. There are some advantages in getting premium but only if you are going to promote Clixsense on a daily basis and participate at the same time in the tasks and offers. Premium members view more ads and get paid for some tasks more money and there is a lower threshold, set to $6.
Additionally, they earn higher commissions on referrals through an 8-tier affiliate payment plan. Moreover, they have better chances of winning the ClixGrid game.
What I like is that ySense is strongly highlighting that the benefits of a premium account are as described and they can not guarantee that you will get benefited from this option if you don’t take massive actions to promote their services and refer people.
That leads to the next section, where …
The Real Money Is On The Referral System
This is the only way to make decent earnings through the ySense platform. You have to refer other people to join your line. If a lot of your own referrals participate and use ySense site on a regular basis you have a chance to make something worthy.
But that points us to another problem. If you don’t own a website how are you supposed to promote ySense? Sure, you can use social media for free, but you can’t build trust easily on these mediums without a website and generally nowhere on the web.
Another way is to spam random people on every network or forum out there, but this is not a genuine marketing method and the results will soon disappoint you.
For that matter, I would recommend you to get started with the Affiliate Business model. You will need a marketing training program to learn everything you need to know and step into this online world with confidence and potential.
Another option is to pay for ads and co-operate with PTC sites to grow your referral line. You would need a minimum number of PTC websites to work on. And you can advertise your affiliate ySense links from one site to another. To do that properly first you have to sign up for these sites and understand their basic operations and you need to find out which are their partners.
There are certain PTC sites that co-operate with other PTC sites. You can pay a few advertising fees, the less expensive for the beginning and see how it goes. But even that method requires basic online marketing education. It is not a super easy task.
Let’s do the Math – Final Opinion – Conclusion
Generally, I believe that legitimate PTC sites like ySense are worth to test them out for a number of reasons. There are a lot of people that make money out of them. Some pay to get their products advertised, some click on the ads and get paid too. There is a potential here and ySense offers free participation, so literally, you have nothing to lose.
The ySense system alone is not enough for someone to make a living. You need referrals to build a heavy downline and earn money by their actions without putting extra work on it. To accomplish that you need a website, the foundation of online businesses. Nothing can be compared to a website, it is an online property, a real estate organization.
The problem though is that if you begin to advertise ySense in order to attract people and referrals, you have to clearly state the situation. Because these people are usually looking for some quick bucks. They don’t care how it works, they need money fast. But as with every business out there, quick success does not exist.
I can assume that a lot of your referrals might abandon their efforts in a few weeks if they can’t build a downline for their own sake. At the end of the day, it would not hurt anyone to try, it is a free network.
All that elements pointing us to the conclusion that ySense is definitely not a scam, but a legitimate online opportunity. If you run a website and can persuade people that visit your site to join under your link ySense might work for you.If you can add more PTC sites and offers to your arsenal the better for you.You have to build a downline on each PTC site that offers an affiliate program.
Even without a website, you could advertise your offers through other PTC sites and on social media in a helpful way.
Money can be made through PTC. But it needs time and work.No empire has built in one day.

I hope you enjoyed another review, here on Web Market Support. I am welcoming your comments and thoughts. I will be updating this thread whenever I have news or important announcements.
I am promoting ySense as an affiliate. For more information, I refer you to the disclaimer page
Hi Tasos, I’m so glad that you have made a very detailed review on clixcsense. I have been wanting to test it out clixsense myself, but never get around to it. As with most people, I’m also a bit wary if clixsense is a legit platform or another big time scam. But thanks to your review though, I can breath easily now knowing that it is not a scam and I can give it a try without being paranoid of being scammed by them. By the way, at 8 dollars or 6 dollars payout, is it really that hard to meet that threshold? So the referral program is the way to make money with them right? Got to give this thing some thought first then.
Welcome Dominic , I am so glad that this article helped you out.Clixsense is a legitimate way to earn money on the web but it needs hard dedication. The threshold can not be easily reached unless you decide to pay for premium and click on ads all day long , which in any case won’t reflect your efforts.
The real money is on the referral system but you have to convince people to click on ads and get paid $0.001 for most ads.The majority of users abandon such systems early.
I hope that can answer your questions and I wanna thank you for this visit and for your support.Good luck with Clixsense.
This is a great review.
I use the Clixsense UK site. This site only has surveys for you to take, but I get them through monthly. I haven’t reached the payment threshold.
What is your view on placing an ad on PTC sites such as Clixsense? Do you think it’s worth it for the traffic and possible higher rankings?
Sammi
Welcome back Sammi , I did not know there is a separate Clixsense site dedicated only for surveys.I think I am going to check it out.
I am not a fan of placing ads in PTC sites. So far I had zero results as the majority of the visitors were abandoning my site in less than 3 seconds. But of course as I experiment with new sites and networks may be I can find one that really works.
Thank you for this visit and for sharing your thoughts.Good luck with your surveys , I hope you reach the threshold soon.
Hi, this is the most thorough review of Clixsense that I have seen, and I have read quite a few in the past. As far as I have seen, the main message has been that this is not a scam but that the income you generate is rather minor.
You say that you still did not reach your payout threshold, but I have seen people reporting that they were really paid, so no doubt all is legal here. Though my feeling is that this will not pay your electricity bills. I agree with you that the premium membership looks fair enough. Many thanks.
Welcome back Jovo , just like you , I have discussed with a lot of people that got paid from Clixsense. This is a totally legit opportunity but unfortunately you can not pay the electricity bills.
But if you continue building a downline throughout the years may be then you will be able to make something worthy. And of course it depends on the productivity of your referrals.
Thank you for this visit and for taking the time to participate in the conversation.
Hi Tasos,
I have been trying to find a complete information about clixsence and I finnaly found on your site. I have understood that one gets payed to click ads. Don`t you think that that is so tiresome?
For a program like this it is always recommended that you take a premium membership to maximize your earnings. Does that mean if I go premium I will get more earnings instantly?
The Sky is the Limit,
~Anthony
Welcome Tony , sometimes it is very annoying to click on those ads.But this is my personal point of view and I guess that is why I forget to login on these sites on a daily basis. But there are people devoted that click ads all day long , I am sure they are making money with those systems.
If you go premium you will be able to click way more ads through the day so practically , yes it means you will be earning more money.
Thank you for this visit and for your interest in that opportunity.
I’ve been a Clixsense members for a few months and I definitely agree that it is NOT a scam. Like you said it has pros and cons, and the biggest con is that you can’t really get to $8 by just clicking ads in a few days or even months. You NEED to refer people in order for ClixSense to work for you. Once you build a good downline going premium will do all the work for you. Wealthy Affiliate is a good place to start to promote Clixsense 🙂
Welcome back Yerko , yes , it takes a lot of time.It is very important to promote this offer in a website , not just spreading around your links.I have heard that a lot of people from not so well developed countries are using such PTC sites and they earn some serious cash if we consider that they get paid in dollars.
If you manage to build a down line out of these people you may end up getting something out of it.For me it is just 5 minutes per day.I do that when I work on other parallel tasks. So literally it is not taking much of my time.
Who knows , we ll see … thank you for another visit and for sharing your experience here with us.
Thanks Tasos for the thorough review of Clixsense. I admit, I hadn’t heard about program until I read this; nonetheless, it does look mildly interesting. I have seen many other programs similar to it, and I’m inclined to think that you just get very little benefit out of your time — unless, of course, you have an effective referral system in place. I don’t think it’s for me, but I’ll consider signing up for a free account and seeing how it goes.
Welcome Paul , it is not a great program that will instantly put money in your pocket but we better don’t underestimate its potential as well.It needs further testing.
I have some news , I got a survey few days ago , so I climbed up a little bit. That’s something.
Yes , you could try for free for as long as you like , this is the best option to start.Thank you for dropping by with your comments and for sharing your valuable point of view.
After I hear you mention that the threshold of $8 is hard to reach, I think this is not a program for me nor a good way for most to earn. If you can, it’s better to go out and get a part time job.
I was trying to make money through PPC before but in reminiscent,it’s not very profitable. The good thing about it is that it’s more reliable than other make “money online scams” out there.
I am more interested in investing on building a long term business online.
What do you think?
Welcome back Anh , how are you? .. how the blogging think goes?
I admit , it is not a great and fantastic solution , but if you consider to give out 5 minutes of your daily routine , and you manage to build a downline as times goes by , may be in the future this opportunity , that 5 minutes per day , will get you some serious cash.Let’s say 5 minutes to click the ads , and 1 minute or less to advertise your links , as you already do.
It is not a great effort on your part , what you think?
…And as I replied to Paul in the very previous comment , I got a survey as well the other day , in a few minutes I got something around a dollar.
Of course this is a part time second job , working on your website is far more crucial.Besides without a website you don’t have many chances to promote any product out there.
Thank you for another visit and for sharing your thoughts.
Thanks for a detailed review, I have read up quite a lot on ClixSense recently and a lot of the reviews contradict themselves.
Personally for me I am not into referral opportunities and it is very clear from almost every review I have read that trying to make money just by clicking on ads is not going to earn you much money.
You said just to get to the $8 payout threshold is hard, I can earn much more than that in an hour doing other work.
Is there anything else you recommend where the money is better and the work is a bit more satisfying?
Welcome Lynne , very well said , I truly agree with your point of view , it is almost useless for a lot of people. Some though find it a great additional stream income.
Really , the money is on huge downlines. But the people fighting at the base are not in a very good position.
I am testing more websites like this one and so far the one that could spark my interest is Niobux , not to be misspelled with Neobux…Niobux pays more cents per click , you climb faster , but I want to make sure that everything is working OK…These sites have to bested for long..
Additionally I am preparing some reviews on other , similar types of clicks.
Thank you for this visit and for your very clear message.
Hey Tasos,
Great review on Clixsense, I particularly like the way you write, you have a very honest projection. You’re definitely right on having a website part as the best way to make sales, I have a website but I never took advantage of this opportunity. Definitely gonna try Clixsense, I’ll be your referral 😀
Welcome Riaz , very kind words and thank you for your trust. It would be really great to get connected in Clixsense and be partners. That is awesome. And we will try to climb up the hill of clicks , who knows?..
Thank you for creating all these reviews. I’m new to online marketing and I heard a lot of stories about people getting scammed. I’m fortunate enough to have found WA without getting scammed by other online marketing programs. But I’m still searching for different programs that will be beneficial to my business. So once again thank you for providing us with these reviews.
Welcome back Joon and thank you for this visit.Yes , this is a situation that is not beneficial for the majority but it exists.Choose programs that you feel proud of.Good luck on your journey , I hope it is an exciting one.
Hey Tasos
thanks for your review man! It really helped me to NOT do some of this stuff, even though that might not be in your interest 😉
Finally someone who openly states how much money actually can be made per click and that it is quite ridiculous actually. Maybe there is some money in a downline though…
Do you know anybody that makes decent money with stuff like this or does this whole system live off from people that try it out for a while and then leave with a sore clicking-finger? 😉 if you know what I mean…
Welcome back Philip , great message and very funny at the end , perfectly said.Yes , this type of work is not returning any reasonable profit at all if you do it alone.
During the last days I have been participating in the Clixsense clicking platform on a daily basis to examine every aspect of this model. As a free member that I am I can generate $0.03 per day for a 5 minute work by clicking and watching 20-30 ads.So that means if I work a whole hour I will be making somewhere around $0.3 to $0.4.
This is not the money that someone deserves for one hour working. But , for some countries that money may be mean something.Besides the vast majority of people clicking those ads are people from not so well developed countries. So getting dollars in their accounts is really something noticeable. And they are not participating in one clicking platform only , they do it on multiple sites.
I know a few bloggers that have built huge downlines and they make decent money out of it.But you have to continuously advertise your links in order to attract people under your name.
But at the end of the day the companies are those who make the real money as most people abandon their efforts disappointed very quickly.
Thank you for another visit and for expressing your questioning here.I will update this thread with important information as I progress with my Clixsense account.Only 5 minutes per day.Let’s see.
Hey there,
Reading reviews like these makes me wonder why I ever even bothered with that type of stuff. It just sounds like a dead end. WA was one of the best things to happen to me and I can say that with 100% conviction.
Anyhow, generally how much money is paid out per watched advertisement? I see you mention a penny in your review. Does this mean that you have to literally click on a hundred ads/procedures just to make a buck?
-Stu
Exactly Stu is something around $0,001 per ad.On average you would need 1000 clicks or let’s say 500 clicks to get to one dollar. The only way to make something memorable is to build a big following through their referral system. But would it be profitable for all?..That is why many people decide to quit before they reach their first threshold. This is how these companies make more money.
As with every business model things are really tough.Thank you for this visit and for mentioning your experience.Of course we can not compare WA with this type of business.Good luck.
Hi,
Clixsense definitely seems like a horrible way to make money online. The amount of time you have to invest just to make $8 is ridiculous. This program and paid online surveys require a lot of effort and result in only $4-5 per hour. There are much more efficient ways to make money online.
-Alex
Welcome Alex , I find this prediction you made about the $4-$5 per hour very optimistic.I wish we could make that money in an hour by viewing ads or taking surveys.Unfortunately as you mention , for a lot of people , the efforts needed to make a profit don’t worth their time.
The only way to make something really worthy is to run a website and build a downline for these PTC offers through the traffic that you will getting. If you manage to create a huge following then real money can be made.It needs hard work.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for stating your opinion here.
