I will examine the Introduction to Marketing
The instructors – Darren Dahl & Paul Cubbon by the UBCx
Just by the very first 2 minutes of the intro video I got hooked by both the instructors. They are great speakers , funny and don’t let you lose your interest.Additionally next to the video window there is the “TEXT” of the speaking part as following the video motion , like having subtitles but outside of the video console.
The 2nd course was another brilliant example of the quality of edX courses. That course was examining the way marketing evolved and continues to evolve through time.Marketing is a live science , always progressing.
Darren gave 4 awesome examples , 4 mini case studies , explaining very interesting parts and hidden aspects of modern marketing I have never imagined before.
As a result to my excitement I’m going to attend the whole course to completion.I will update this thread when I am finished to post my experience.
On every course there is information in case you need a verification. This is a paid service and for example the introduction to marketing verification costs $50.
- Careers , community , education leaders , news , events
- Featured courses , learner stories , MOOC research , MOOC tips , open edX
Careers – Do you want to change the Future of Education?
Their mission to to give a world class education to everyone , everywhere , regardless gender , income or social status.Today , edX , a non profit provides millions of people access to free education.
But they are also looking for people to work for them.
- Competitive compensation
- Generous benefits package
- Free lunch every day
- Great working experience
- Customer support associate
- Partner manager
- Senior support engineer , educational services
- Technical support specialist II
- Developers , engineers , software consultants
- Acquisition marketing manager , marketing co-op , marketing project manager
- Data and analytics , VP product
I am more than satisfied with edX.The quality of the courses is Top , the navigation is easy and the categories are endless.A very professional work by a non profit organisation.
Of course the verification of the courses is a paying option but that is logic.
I believe they deserve to retain their slogan. They do provide knowledge for everyone for Free and they do it in an artistic way.Definitely one of my very favourite resources.
