My Projects

I will be sharing insights as I am creating new projects.

News Page

I am thinking of a short video trailer for the WMS news page. I will share the clip in an upcoming webinar all about video storytelling.

The news page acts as a bridge to various WMS departments.

My main goal is to attract sponsors, potential JV partners, prospects for my services, as well as consumers who want to discover great solutions from the brands that are advertised on this page.

I may embed the video trailer on the news page and run marketing campaigns with it.

I want a professional-looking, corporate-styled and inspiring video trailer that will get people to take action. Can FlexClip help me?

The project is not finished. I will share the video clip when it’s done.

Choosing a template

The templates look tempting and fantastic. Let’s use the search function. When I clicked and before typing anything, some ‘hot’ options appeared below. News (boom), intro, travel, sport, real estate, cinematic, eCommerce.

There are 621 news-related templates. Beautiful.

On top of the templates, you can arrange them based on ratio (all ratios, landscape, portrait, square) and based on the most popular or newest.

When you hover over the templates, beyond the preview that is automatically playing, there is information about the number of pages that the template offers. You can also see the clip’s duration, unmute its sound, and add the template to your favourites. Also, there are two buttons, AI recreate and customise.

I chose a landscape (16:9 ratio) template with 7 pages, due to its opening scene,  the world map pixelated and futuristic-looking.

Later, we can change the ratio and dimensions of the project to make it fit for any screen and device.

The audio clip attached is identical to my needs. Mystery, suspense, action and a little drama.

Editing elements

The first thing you want to make sure of is that all the elements used in a video project are in line with your branding.

Now, the colours used in this template are not in line with my branding but everything is customisable, so I believe we won’t have any problem transforming this video.

When you hit the play button, the video starts. If you pause and hover over the video editor, the elements that can be changed/edited turn to frames with a light blue/green line border.  If you click on a bordered element, you can proceed with editing it.

I show you these borders in the screenshot below. The 24/7 NEWS element, the text “A NEWS TITLE COMES HERE”, and the smaller-sized text below.

FlexClip Review Editing Elements

Let’s see how we can change the “24/7 NEWS” element. I describe this process in the review video in detail.

If I click right on the text, it shows me which font is being used. Right now, they use Montserrat, one of the fonts I am using on WMS. Next is the size of the font, here 48. Next is the text colour and you can select a preset colour or add your own custom code. Other options: Background of the text, bold or not, italics, letter case, format, opacity, animation and style.

Let’s work on the background of this element.

The original colour is red but it’s not in line with WMS. I will try to turn it into a #922D50 purple or something close to it.

This specific element is probably a gradient colour and I can’t just change the colour itself using my code.

When I click on the background, these are my options: Edit (effects, filters and colour adjustments), crop, opacity, border, shadow, side motion and replace. I discovered a filter called “Red” which turns the original red into purple, as you can see in the same screenshot above. There are endless effects and filters to choose from but it’s easy to navigate them because when you hover over an effect or filter, the chosen element in your video dashboard changes instantaneously. So, you can quickly pick the right effect for your needs.

I could reach the same result using the adjustment options, which are exposure, contrast, brightness, temperature, tint, saturation, highlights, shadows and vignette. If you make a mistake, don’t worry, there’s a reset button.

The element underneath the “24/7 NEWS” element is easier to edit. I’m talking about the background of the long text “This is a sample text…” It shows the specific colour used, a black.

I turned it into a #101D42 Oxford blue, one of WMS colours, by entering the code. I also changed the font to OpenSans, another font of WMS. I use Montserrat mostly for headlines and subheadlines and OpenSans for body text, smaller-sized texts.

I also edited all the other texts and backgrounds in this scene.

Look at the other element in this scene, the “LIVE” button with a symbol on the top right corner. Its text is not editable. It’s probably an element from the library. I can only change its design.

Scenes

When editing a video project, a template in this case, it’s important to analyse every page/scene independently.

To do that, you need to double-click on a scene to open it up in the video dashboard below the video editor.. We may call this part of the dashboard the timeline editor.

The timeline editor has these main options: Add a scene with the (+) icon, split, trim, duplicate and delete. Also, this is where the main play button is located. Plus, there is a zoom function and the button ‘fit’ (screen size).

Underneath these functions, we can see the display of scenes, the transitions in between the scenes and at the end of the scenes’ timeline, there’s another big (+) button if we want to add more scenes.

At the very bottom, we can see the audio track.

There’s also a cursor, a black pin-shaped object that appears on top of the video scenes and the audio track. With the cursor, we move to certain points in the timeline using the mouse left click. We can hold the cursor with the mouse and drag it forward and backwards as well.

With the cursor pointing at a certain scene and by pressing the button “timeline”, the dashboard opens up the specific scene and we can see all the elements being used in this scene.

We can do that by double-clicking on a scene, alternatively.

At this state, the main play button will preview only this specific scene, not the whole project.

Every element that is being used shows up in the dashboard. In this template, the first and second scene show only a video track. The rest of the scenes are loaded with more elements, design elements, text, images, buttons, etc.

A very useful function which helps us identify all the elements, one by one, and move them exactly where we want them to be. We can do that by clicking on an element, holding the click and dragging the element left and right in the timeline. We can reduce their size in the timeline, and there are more options when we right-click on those elements, like split, show in media, duplicate, delete, and more, depending on the selected element.

Plus, when we hover over an element, it shows its duration, another handy feature.

In the screenshot below, I am inside the 4th scene of this project and all the elements that are being used, show up.

FlexClip Review Timeline Editor Scenes

Transitions

The transitions are the icons in between the scenes of a project, in the timeline editor. A transition is displayed in a small white square with an icon (›‹), right and left black arrows, like the icon used in a play button. When you hover over those icons, it displays the text “transitions”. If you click on a transition icon, it shows which transition is being used in the library of effects.

In this project, transition #1 is called “Warp” and it’s located in the Blur & Warp category of transitions. Transition #2 is “Doorway” in the Presentation category, and so on. When selected, I can easily choose another transition from the library. If I hover over a transition in the library, it quickly previews the selected transition, so I know exactly what to expect before I insert it into the project.

Underneath, in the library section, there are more editing options for the transitions.

We can set the duration in seconds, choose between various easing options (linear, in quad, out quad, in out quad, in cubic, out cubic, in out cubic, and much more).

We can also enable sound effects for a selected transition. It opens up all the sound effects located in the library. We can also use the search function to discover sound effects.

Audio

If I click on the audio track, in the timeline editor, these options show up: Volume (currently set to 80), fade (in and out in seconds), speed (0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x) and duration, AI (reduce noise and vocal remover – it displyas how many credits you need for this specific action), split (if you click split, it will split the audio exactly where you have pointed the black cursor), trim, link (audio and scene and unlink them), duplicate and delete.

When I hover over the audio track, it displays which track is being used from the library. in this case, the audio “Shocking News” and its duration, 34.3s.

If I click on the audio and hold the click, I can drag the audio track left and right in the timeline editor. I can also reduce its duration by reaching the edge of the audio track, left and right, end and beginning.

Video Assets

Let’s say we want to replace a video in the template project.

For example, the 4th scene uses 1 video as background, an Asian female reporter talking to the microphone and two men from the crime department investigating a scene.

If I go to the library, I can choose another video asset for my project to replace the scene with the Asian reporter.

I can choose from the video library (many categories of ready-made stock footage and a search function to help you discover videos quickly), or from the media library (this project, my cloud).

If I drag the chosen video asset from the library to the main video editor, I can add it as a second video on top of the background footage or replace the background video.

I explain how that works in the video review, in detail.

In the screenshot below, I display both options. The left image shows that the video asset with the reporter has been replaced by the clothing-related video and the right image shows the clothing video on top of the background video with the reporter.

I can add as many video assets as I want to a scene and drag them to the desired position easily by holding the left click and moving them. I can easily replace any video asset with another one.

FlexClip Review Video Assets Editing Example

Production

When working on the timeline editor and right-clicking on a video scene, these are the options: Freeze frame, reverse video, export frame, split, detach audio, show in media, add scene, duplicate and delete.

These options are not available when you double-click on a scene and get to the back of the editor. The only option in the back editor in a scene is to trim the video.

When working on the timeline editor and right-clicking on an audio track, these are the options: Audio settings, link, split, show in media, duplicate and delete.

The audio track is not visible in the back editor, as it happens with videos and design elements.

You can replace videos with images by holding and dragging them to the video location in the main canvas/editor.

When adding an effect to a scene by holding it and dragging it to the main canvas, the effect applies to the whole scene and appears on top of the video scene in the timeline editor. If you double-click on it, it goes to the back editor and you can change its duration, the starting and ending point, and more. The effect is customisable just like the other design elements. You can even apply changes to it in the timeline editor without using the back editor.

Recording

Inside the video editor, choose “Media”. Here, you have the option to upload files or record. Hit “Record”. Two options: Record voice or screen/webcam.

If you want to record voice, you might need to set permissions on your browser. FlexClip gives instructions to do that. On thebrowser, just before the domain URL, left to it, click the icon, select your microphone and refresh the browser. You are now ready to record your voice.

If you want to record screen or webcam, choose it and you will have three options: Screen + webcam, screen only, or webcam only.

Choose the desired device, the tab on your browser that you want to record and the rest of the settings and hit “Start Recording”.

Click stop when you are finished and add the recording to your library.

The video asset goes directly to your project files, but you can transfer them to a desired folder in your cloud, all inside the media tab of the video editor.

I’ll try to create a video using only AI tools to measure performance, production time, quality and much more.

I am inside the learning center, the AI video creator section, to get ideas, inspiration and help.

I read an article entitled “How to make a fake news report”. Not a bad idea, a prank, a fake news video to entertain my visitors. We can’t always be serious; we need some fun as well.

For the first step, they recommend using the AI video script generator to save time. We can use prompts such as “write me a prank news video script about a newly discovered marketing formula which converts 80% of cold traffic to leads and 30% of them into customers”.

I am recording my actions so you can see the full prompts that I used inside the main video review

I am using the AI video script tool. There’s a 1000-character text area and it costs 1 credit to generate the video script. I clicked the “generate” button and the AI tool produced the script in seconds. 13 scenes in total out of my 500-character prompt. I copied the text on my computer as a backup (in case something goes wrong inside the platform).

For the second step, they recommend generating a news anchor figure to report the news. We can use the AI photo editor tool to turn any portrait into a professional news anchor image with a custom news studio background or the text-to-image tool. I am thinking of creating a new, imaginary character, so I will use the latter tool.

I am inside the text-to-image tool. The first option is to select a model from the list. By default, it is set to Bytedance Seedream 4.5.We can also choose models by category (All, 720p, 1080p, 2K, 4K, reference, prompt adherence). Also, very important, every model that is listed here, underneath its name, includes the model categories in which it belongs, i.e. Seedream 4.5 is 4K, reference and prompt adherence, while Flux Dev is 720p and fast. It also shows how many credits you need for each model and new models are identified by a “new” circle.

Next option, prompt* (with an asterisk – required), 5000 characters space, an “inspire me” button inside which I clicked to test it out and it returned this prompt “Create a sleek, modern smartwatch on a minimalist background. Highlight its digital display, fitness tracking, and water resistance features using a blue palette”. Now, I have a clue about how this AI tool works. Here, there’s another button “AI prompts” and when clicked, it has two actions: a. improve prompts, b. get prompts from image.

Next option, style (optional). 5 main categories: Photo, digital, anime, painting and vintage. The category “photo”, for example, includes: Photo, cinematic, studio shot, moody film, black and white, dark and cyberpunk.

Next, reference image (optional). You can upload up to 10 images.

Next, ratio (1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 2:3, 3:2, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9).

Next, image count (1, 2, 3, 4).

Next, visibility: Post to the FlexClip community, shareable link, or private (only you can view).

It costs 4 credits to generate the image.

These options are located in the left sidebar. Also, there’s a mini sidebar next to it with these options: Image to image, text to image (my current tool) and photo editor.

On the top, next to the logo, is a handy menu that opens up all the AI departments (tools), divided by category (video, image, audio) and there’s a button to explore the AI community. Nice addition. I’m always curious about other people’s creations and it helps me get started.

The right side of the tool’s page has 3 main departments: Community, creations and history. Underneath, 3 options: Trends, images and videos. Underneath, more options: All, text to image, image to image, AI photo editor and Nano Banana Pro. On the far-right side, default or newest. When you scroll, you can see creations from community members (those who choose to share their creations with others).

I gave a 500-character prompt for the news anchor image. The tool produced the image in around 25 seconds. The tool placed the image in the “creations” tab. I am very satisfied with the result, although the tool did not create everything I mentioned, i.e. I asked for a crowd of 10 people, which is absent,t but I also asked for stylists, makeup artists, cameramen and directors. Moreover, the cameramen look like soldiers, but it’s not a problem; we want to add humour.

Maybe too many details in the prompt make it harder for the tool to respond with 100% accuracy. It’s a tool and every tool is different, so by practising, you will get used to it.

Now, I have these options: Image to video or download the image. I downloaded it (2048×2048 px, PNG, size 8,16 MB) and am going back to the article.

You can see the screenshot below.

For the third step, they recommend using the AI video generator tool to turn the news anchor figure into a news report video. We can also generate b-roll footage and live report clips according to the script. They point out the Veo 3.1 model.

I’m using the video generator tool. First option: Model. Two Veo 3.1 models, fast and subject reference. I chose the second.

Next option, upload an image or use an AI one. If I choose AI image, it pops up a small window showing 2 categories, text-to-image and image-to-image. My previous creation is there, waiting for me to use it. I clicked my image’s thumbnail in the pop-up window and it brought the image in the left sidebar, in the uploads section.

Next, prompt. I’m reading the script from my backup notes. I did not proceed with any major edits because the script looks great and I want to test the AI tool’s performance on its own, without my intervention. Now, in the tool’s text area for the prompt, there’s a help button “prompt guide” which opens a page on the help center, an article entitled “How to write effective text prompts to generate AI videos”. A very helpful article with plenty of examples and straight-to-the-point recommendations. They cover both text-to-video and image-to-video prompt structures.

I added one camera movement (zoom in on the host) in the second scene, a camera orbit around the host in the third scene, a “spotlight on the host, warm light” in the seventh scene, a “futuristic comic style” in the 8th scene, a close up to the host in the 9th scene, a “the host pulls her hair furious” in the 10th scene, a “the host is laughing like a kid” in the 11th scene, a “the cameramen are getting closer to the host.” in the 12th scene and a “the host is turning her back to the cameras” in the 13th and last scene. I’m using 3700 out of 5000 characters for the prompt.

Next, the duration of the clip. It is set to 8 seconds and can’t be edited.

Next, visibility is set to private.

It costs 184 credits to produce the clip. The first generation failed and I clicked the “retry” button. The clip was generated after 2-3 retries. I believe the tool had a hard time balancing the script with the duration of the clip. 13 scenes can’t fit in an 8-second clip. We need to adjust the script according to the duration. 1 or 2 scenes can fit into an 8-second clip. It also depends on the video style; if it is a trailer, for example, you may fit more scenes into an 8-second clip.

I am very satisfied with the result. The tool used the image with such accuracy. The image transformed into a lively, moving and realistic video. The host is excited and her high-quality voice is absolutely human, with real expressions and toning. It feels so real, as if someone, a human, said those words. We can also see the other people making expressions, participating in the news report. The cameramen are slightly moving, one man behind the host is making a very funny move at the end of the clip, there is so much going on.

The host starts by saying, “Welcome to Marketing Breakthrough News”, continues with “Today, a mind-blowing revelation…” and “This formula was a game-changer”, and ends with “Who knew it?”

The female actor is speaking with a native US-English accent, her lips are syncing pretty well with the words, and she is also making hand gestures and other realistic moves.

Plus, the tool created graphics and other effects in the background, flashing in the big digital screen and the laptop computers and thus, added depth to the clip.

It’s humorous, there is motion, expressions, camera movements… the whole studio is alive.

Even more importantly, the tool managed to delete many scenes from the script, produced only 3-4 speaking phrases to fit the 8-second duration, but what impressed me; It started with “Welcome” and ended with “Who knew it?” and all the other phrases in between give our scene a decent meaning. There is an opening, a theme and an ending. This makes it a standalone scene that can be used anywhere.

In addition, more details impressed me. In front of the host, there is a plexiglass table and we can see the host reflected on it.

High-quality result. The tool is extremely capable and it is just my first attempt.

I downloaded the 8-second clip, MP4, 16,6 MB. The clip also appears in the “creations” and “history” tabs. In the history tab, it also shows the failed attempt to generate the video. I can delete it. In this tab, if you hover over the video, there are 4 options: Delete, download, visibility and edit. Also, in history, a dropdown with these options: All videos, image to video, text to video, video effects.

Everything is so well organised, a highly efficient platform.

I will also add b-roll footage, effects, text and more. I will jump into the video editor and proceed with the production of the clip. I can use existing, stock video clips or the AI tools again for b-roll, effects from the library and I also have the support of the countless templates. For this clip, I think realistic stock footage for b-roll would create a more on-brand result rather than using AI again. I don’t want to overuse AI in this short clip. Total duration? Around 15 seconds, so I will try to add 7 seconds to the scene.

For the 4th step in the article, they say, “bring your footage and creations into the video editor and experiment with the various effects, music and templates.” On top of that, they refer to graphics and visuals, lower thirds, headlines, the library of templates, additional voiceovers, recordings, subtitles (i.e. using the auto subtitle tool) and more.

The fifth step is to preview and download the video.

A very helpful article with clear directions.

News Short Trailer

I will move on with the production of the short, humorous video clip. It’s a perfect fit to announce one of my upcoming webinars

I will use the 8-second scene that I created using the AI video generation tool (see previous section) and the video editor platform.

Searching for news templates to discover an inspiring backing track, b-roll, attractive transitions and effects. Searching for video footage with keywords “crowd”, “downtown”, “news”, “interview”, “event”, “business meeting”, “conference” and “success”.

I added 5 b-roll scenes before the main AI-scene and 5 more after it. I added a news-related outro and a final logo outro scene.

I also played with the sound a little bit. I used the AI-scene’s audio to isolate the last phrase, “Who knew it?”. I changed the tempo and added this phrase 3 more times throughout the video.

I added a corporate overlay text to the first scene, the “something big” message. Another corporate text to the 7th scene, “is coming, stay tuned”.

I added transitions, edited the scenes, adjusted speed and zoom settings, edited colouring and filters, added my logo and a few more tweaks. I also added a thunderstrike audio effect and a few design element animations.

AI Community

I will walk you through some of the creations that are hosted on the platform. These creations belong to members who like to share their work with others.

When you visit the community page, there are 3 main categories: Trends, images and videos. You can sort by newest or leave it to default. When you click a thumbnail, the creation opens up and you can read details.

For example, Joyce, created an image first, a cat on a table full of food, then gave a prompt and the AI made a video. The cat grabs a strawberry from a bowl and eats it. Very cute, ideal for kids.

Another one, a GIF animation. Cloudy night sky, a big moon close to the land, melting, like hot metal reaching the ocean and creates smoke. The melting reflects on a wooden pathway, at the edge of a beach, next to some rocks. I am thrilled by the combination of colours and the realistic movement of the water. A unique scene, great fit for cinematic art.

Next to it, cinematic as well. A man crossing a river on a tiny boat, with a giant snake hunting him.

There are also images and illustrations.

Various themes, an asian teen girl with butterflies, video games, funny, illusions, street life, inside stores like supermarkets, paintings, movie scenes, anything that comes to your mind, can be found.

So, you can enjoy those wonderful creations of community members inside the main review video, in a dedicated section.

Oi Didaktores – Trailer

I want to create a short video clip for a YouTube channel, called “Oi Didaktores”, which I run for my sons.

A trailer showing clips from already published videos which will be featured on the homepage of the channel. It will give visitors an overview of what this channel is.

As of today, December 2025, the channel has 40 videos.

It’s a video gaming channel. My sons and I record games as we play and I edit them.

They started recording these videos back in 2023 and I got letft behind. There are so many videos waiting in line for production.

You’ll see games like Need for Speed Underground 2, Roblox, Punk Shot (me and my older son), Chess Prince (I play too), Sumble Guys, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Tekken 4 & 5 and Rygar (me playing). More to come.

I searched for a “gaming” template inside FlexClip. 278 results. I chose this one, “Channel Thanks for Watching YouTube Video Intro Game”.

A very short, one-page template, total duration 6 seconds. Probably, I will combine it with other templates as well to create a trailer of around 30 seconds.

Backing tracks: #1 Sport Electro, #2 Strange Glitch Whoosh Impact.

The clip shows something like a tunnel road in space moving fast. A frame appears after 0.7 seconds, splitting the screen into 2 parts. The inner frame is a mirror of the outer frame with a colour effect.

At the 00:02.9 mark, I added a text headline, named “Oi Didaktores” using a modern title preset. I changed the font to “Alfabetix”. I also changed the sidebar’s colour next to the letters using the colours of my brand kit. I centered the text preset.

FlexClip allows me to add as many brand colours as I want. However, there is no option to create folders inside the brand kit interface, which would be very useful to categorise colours for different brands. But you can upload all the colours of a brand palette at once and move on to the next brand so all the colours appear grouped.

The first page, section of the template is ready. 6 seconds, intro with the tunnel road in space and the headline. I proceed with an export, as a backup, and I will try to add a new template to the current one, next.

The rendering of the clip ended pretty fast, in just a few seconds.

Back to edit, a very useful button getting you from the export interface back to the video editor, exactly where you left.

I added a new scene with the (+) button. By default, it adds a blank video clip of 5 seconds. I searched for “gaming”. I chose one template and then added it to the canvas. It placed it just after the second blank scene. I deleted the second scene and now the new template is placed just after the opening one.

I got back to the gaming templates results and chose another one. When you do that, FlexClip displays all the pages of a template separately and you can choose to add only 1 page or all of them. A very useful feature.

You can use as many templates as you want inside a video clip, mixing various themes and different audio tracks to create the result you want.

Next, I got back to the main templates page of FlexClip to manually inspect the themes there, not inside the editor. To inspect a template inside the editor, you need to add a scene to the canvas and play/preview the item. On the main templates page you can preview the scenes faster in a popup window.

Second section – 00:06: I added the “Dark Tech Crypto Gaming Galaxy Night…” template just to get its backing track, called “Upbeat Tension”.

I discovered the “Neon Lines Style Game Live Streaming” template, which has a design theme in alliance with my needs and also a great backing track.

Back to the editor, I searched for neon lines templates and discovered it. I added it as a third section. I will use the desing of the 3rd section in combination with the backing track of the second section. I will delete the 2nd section design and the backing track of the 3rd section.

I replaced the default clip of the section that appears inside the circle with one of my recorded clips and changed the text and font next to it.

Third section: I discovered the template “Gaming Facts YouTube Shorts Instagram Reels”. 15 seconds, 5 pages. Great, pixelated transitions.

With these transitions, design elements and the other settings bundled with the templates I just discovered, I’m fully covered to start adding footage and move on with the production of the clip.

The background track is fast, action-oriented and its duration is 01:42. It allows for fast changing scenes and high-speed video settings. Exactly what we need in a trailer.

But… I will be adding variations of the backing track as well. I exported the video clip as audio only to start editing the audio track (with another software, let me know if you want to learn more).

I selected parts of the audio track and proceeded with some changes. Filters, changes in the tempo and more.

I added those edited audio tracks to the canvas. One edited audio track is now slower than the original in tempo and this is where I will be adding scenes at lower speed settings. This audio section will act as a bridge between the fast audio clip with fast scenes one after another and the end of the clip. It will hopefully create a smooth transition from a fast trailer to a slower tempo before reaching the final section.

Plus, I muted the audio in all the recordings, just to make sure only the background track is audible.

58 video scenes right now. I’m reordering them so I don’t have 2 scenes in a row of the same game.

The total duration is 04:01. I want to reduce it so I will proceed by increasing the speed of every scene a little bit. Now, 03:39. Much better. Deleted a couple of clips, now 03:24. Finally, 03:15. Not bad!

Added a couple of scenes, added text with some wonderful presets (modern titles), proceeded with some edits, and there it is.

Another thing I keep in mind is that this clip is an ongoing project and I will be updating the trailer from time to time as new video games will be added to the channel.

How exactly I will proceed depends on many factors but I predict that the video trailer will become longer in duration with new updates.

Jan 2026 Details:

  • Total duration: 03:29
  • 52 Scenes: They change fast, all come with transitions, some have text, various speed levels.
  • Music: Intro effect 00:00 – 00:03 Sport Electro, Main track 00:03 – 03:24.8 Upbeat Tension, Outro effect 03:24.9 – end Strange Glitch Whoosh Impact.

Oi Didaktores – Need For Speed #08

Another video clip for the YouTube channel, called “Oi Didaktores”.

This time, the project is way easier than the video trailer. It’s a long video and I only have to edit the scenes following my sons’ instructions (they ask for certain scenes to be deleted), add some music, add some animations, a few effects and that’s it.

Trailers are more demanding and require careful thought and many repetitions.

However, this project will be a good test for the FlexClip platform itself. It is a big video in size, 3.67 GB, so let’s see how the platform handles a big video like this.

I have also produced a custom music background for the channel recently. It’s a great opportunity to create some animations for the opening and closing scenes.

I will be sharing a few seconds from the music track.

When I add my own custom-made music to videos, I clearly mention the copyright details in the description.

This track for “Oi Didaktores” is copyright of Muvimag, a multimedia brand I founded in 2020., still in early stages.

I searched for “gaming” in the templates. I chose one entitled “Gaming Video With Outro”. A 2-page template, 11 seconds in total, an intro and an outro.  The backing track is futuristic, mysterious and exciting. Let’s see how I can pair it with my own track.

I immediately uploaded my file. I got a warning message from the platform. It said “large files over 3 GB may cause instability. Please use them with devices of 8+ GB in RAM”. My laptop has 16 GB RAM, let’s see.

My connection is not very fast right now. I’ll try to calculate the uploading time.

After 2 minutes, it has already a preview banner and when I hover over it, it plays the first minutes of the clip. The orange bar which shows the uploading progress is visible, that’s a very good sign that the upload is moving fast, faster than expected. Maybe around 20% progress in just 3 minutes.

I don’t proceed with video editings until the upload is finished. I work on other projects, outside the platform, while watching the clock.

After 10 minutes, 30% progress. 16 minutes, 50%. 21 minutes, 70%. It goes pretty well.

Done, 30 minutes approximately.

Video editing:

The goal with this video, which is a casual channel upload, is to get it done fast without adding much.

So, it’s not a super production.

Also, I’m testing the platform in terms of reliability, speed, accuracy, and more when dealing with big files, pretty important.

The time in between the uploads doesn’t matter much because I can work on other projects simultaneously.

Another goal is to test the audio capabilities, now that I have plans to create a short, 3-second interval by mixing my own custom music track.

Even more importantly, I’m testing how much time it takes for me to produce a video like this.

Plus, I’m comparing it in the back of my mind with competing products.

The platform right now is under a huge test.

The video is rolling wonderfully from the first second. I am trying to spot the 21-minute mark to cut some scenes, according to my kids’ instructions.

High-quality rendering, no lag or delay whatsoever.

I discovered the spot. It is a winning race for the game Need for Speed. My son wants the rest of the clip cut.

Better for me as well. Less production.

I cut the rest. Total duration approximately 21:47.

Total time in production so far: 30 secs plus 30 secs to enter, save and exit the platform.

Let’s see if I can find some interesting scenes inside the clip to create some animations. I’m usually searching for crashes of cars, jumps, something fancy and spectacular to heat things up.

I don’t have much time to spare here, only a few minutes due to my busy schedule.

I discovered a scene, 35th sec, a jump inside a building, great finding. I’ll use it for the outro.

Let’s find some more.

I found a crash, not so impressive though. Moving the cursor forward by holding the left click. It goes through the clip accurately, so discovering things is achievable.

06:37, interesting scene. 2 cars collide for a few secs. Worth noting it down.

07:10 perfect scene. 2 racing cars metres apart from each other, and suddenly, a slow-moving truck crashes into the racer. My son crashed, exciting footage.

I split a scene after the finish line to add a transition with a change of speed on top so the viewer gets ready for the next race.

Total production time so far: 5 minutes.

The platforms’ transitions are more than impressive.

Back to the video, another crash was spotted through scrolling. Not great. Moving on.

One more finish line. Let’s create a split scene so the viewer gets some rest.

Very fast production.

Great, finished scrolling through the video. No more fancy scenes discovered.

Let’s move on with the intro and the outro. The middle of the clip is ready.

6 minutes max so far in production. The result so far is more than satisfactory.

Working on the intro right now. I removed the backing track from the template and added my music.

I discovered that the audio volume of any track or video can’t surpass the 100% threshold. That’s a disadvantage in cases where the recorded video clip is low in volume and needs more db.

I edited the first section of the template to make it fit my branding and now working on the outro. I collected those 2 crashing scenes, applied a couple of effects and the outro is ready.

FlexClip handles big videos easily. Very good performance. Ease of use, reliable, fast, accurate, but it takes some time to learn it. It’s worth it.

Details:

  • Total running time: 21:14
  • File size: 5,51 GB
  • Export settings: 1080p, 60 fps, high-quality
  • Intro: 00:00 – 00:04
  • Split scene transition #1: 07:47 – 07:53
  • Split scene transition #2: 15:05 – 15:12
  • Split scene transition #3: 20:51 – 20:58
  • Outro (2 scenes from the video and 1 animation): 20:59 – end.
  • Music by Muvimag: 00:00 – 00:10, 20:58 – 21:14

Webinar Last-Minute Notice

Editing/Producing

I hosted a webinar on December 7th, 2025. I had been promoting the event with various marketing methods and content and one day prior to the event, I was in need of a short video trailer, a last-minute reminder for attendees.

I had only a few minutes to spare in the video production so I headed over to FlexClip.

I started searching for “event” in the templates. 2162 results for this term.

The very first template, called “Business Motivational Energy Inspire Online Conference Event Promo Transition Opener Intro” that appeared was the one I used.

A 15-page template specifically designed for corporate events. Nice transitions, pages with multiple video windows, great music track, beautifully placed text, generally, a template to spark excitement and curiosity. Exactly what I needed.

I previewed other templates as well but I sticked with the first.

I uploaded media to the cloud of FlexClip, footage I recorded in my office, design banners and a few animations I had created with another software.

I started working on the template.

On the first page, I changed the fonts of the headline, the subheadings and the button.

I changed the colours from the default to my brand kit colours.

Then, I replaced the first page’s video footage (default) with an animation.

I left the colouring effect of the template untouched.

I adjusted the duration of the first page’s animation to match the background audio track and the transitions. I used the “speed” button, located at the middle panel, underneath the top-middle panel.

There are two main options here: Normal speed and curve speed.

Normal: You can set speed at 0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x, but also at any interval by dragging the bar, i.e. 6x, 6.2x, 6.3x. Underneath, it shows the duration of the clip.

Curve: Presets – none, customize, montage, hero time, bullet, jump out, flash in and flash out.

I played with the settings a little bit and previewed the clip multiple times until I had it arranged.

I then changed the zoom settings for my animation, turning it from 100% to 85% so all the elements of the design banner appear on screen.

Right after the animation, on the second page of the template, I uploaded a small clip from the office footage, showing me speaking but without sound. Here, we can listen the audio background.

I moved the subheadings, headline and the button from the first page of the template to the second.

Third page of the template: Me saying “don’t miss tomorrow’s webinar”. Then, a tansition effect and this is where the main footage starts.

This is the fourth page of the template. Me explaining next day’s event and what we’ll cover.

The fourth page of the template is the longest in duration.

Last page, fifth of the template, is where I used the multiple video windows option to upload various recordings of my website’s pages and create a closing theme.

After having all the clips arranged, I changed some of the transitions, in between the sections of the template.

Plus, I deleted the rest of the template’s sections.

Details:

  • Total duration of the clip – 01:50.2
  • First page (section) – Animations intro: 00:03 (3 seconds)
  • Second section – Me screaming without sound, preparing for the main video clip: 00:03 – 00:05.4
  • Third section – Don’t miss the event tomorrow scene: 00:05.4 – 00:10.3
  • Fourth section – Main footage: 00:10.3 – 01:40.6
  • Fifth section – Multiple video windows outro: 01:40.6 – 01:50.2

Below, you can watch the video result.

Interview with Jenne

It only takes $0 to be kind.

Jenne Qing

Marketing, Partnerships Specialist, PearlMountain

Tasos: FlexClip is part of the PearlMountain family, can you please tell me more about the company and how many brands you own?

Jenne: Yes, FlexClip is absolutely one of the most important parts of the PearlMountain Family. My boss, David Lin, who shares a passion for photography and video editing, decided to found his own company, PearlMountain, in 2006, targeting online photo and video editing software.

Tasos: Was FlexClip founded in 2012?

Jenne: Actually FlexClip is our flagship product and it was launched in Jan, 2019. In the first years of PearlMountain, we released several software products like FotoJet, DesignEvo, and DesignCap to create high-quality photographic work, targeting amateur photographers. And now, we have another new product – RecordCast, which is an online Screen/Cam recorder and video editor. So back to the first question of yours, we have 5 main brands. But of course, we also have some other mini tools about photo and video editing both online and offline to help our users reach their designing goals.

Tasos: I am adding “Publisher Plus”, PicGIF”, PicLight”, “Greeting Box”, “VideoGIF”, “Watermark Plus”, “Posterist” and “Scrapbook Crafter”, all for Mac, “Picture Collage Maker” and “CollageIt” for both Mac and Windows, “Image Converter” as well as “Greeting Card Builder” for Windows.

How many products PearlMountain had already developed before FlexClip?

Jenne: Actually there are many but 3 main brands, FotoJet, DesignEvo, and DesignCap were developed before FlexClip.

Tasos: The statistics about FlexClip are really impressive and I’m about to ask a lot. How are you able to keep all these users satisfied? How do you keep up with technology improvements, changes, and new features? Lastly, are you planning on developing new features for FlexClip?

Jenne: The demand for video editing services is growing daily, as more businesses across the world are using video-centric social media platforms for their marketing strategies, while individuals are increasingly consuming video content. We realised that there is a large number of users who do not have professional graphics and multimedia editing skills. However, they still have a strong desire to make exquisite graphics and video works by themselves, to record the moments of life, or to use them in their work.

FlexClip was born because of that. FlexClip is a web-based tool which is very easy to use. It provides pre-made stunning templates to help users save time. I think that’s why users like FlexClip in the very beginning.

FlexClip is based on HTML5 technology, which provides webpages and applications the possibility to store data on the client-side locally, while it can also operate offline, a good added value for users who value privacy.

Sure, we will keep up with the tech trends and users’ demands to develop new features. As you may noticed, in the newest version, we already added a timeline mode to serve more kinds of users, especially pro users.

Tasos: Is competing with big names like Adobe a challenge and what about other competitors like Camtasia, Filmora, or ClipCanvas?

Jenne: It’s definitely a challenge to compete with other video editing giants like Adobe or other ones like Camtasia. FlexClip is young and needs more time to gain more users. However, FlexClip has its own advantages. Programs like Adobe have a steep learning curve and they are expensive. The core vision for FlexClip is that everyone can design “stunning work” with the platform in an effortless way. So, there is still a huge market over there for us.

Tasos: What is your role in FlexClip?

Jenne: I’m a partner specialist in the marketing team of the company. We try our best to discover new users and let the world know about FlexClip.

Tasos: What is FlexClip’s vision for the future?

Jenne: In the near future, FlexClip will have more templates, mini tools and resources. FlexClip will have a “Storyboard + Timeline ” mode to satisfy and get more users. We are planning to build a content platform that helps users to upload and download content more easily and quickly. And what’s more, we are planning to develop collaboration functions for companies or educational teams.

Thank you so much, Jenne. I really enjoyed it.

My Final Review

We got to the most critical part of this review. I’ll reveal what makes FlexClip a wonderful platform and also what I’d like to see changed and improved.

I’ve been using it for many years and one thing is certain. The platform has evolved tremendously and it continues in the same direction.

Plus, I am an experienced video producer and have used (and still do) many other platforms and software solutions.

Throughout the article and the video review, I thoroughly investigated all the departments of the platform. We discovered that the video editor, the main application, is supported by a ton of resources (multimedia, AI tools, learning, an active blog and more) and there is also a community where members can share their creations.

The platform is beginner-friendly but it takes some time to make yourself feel at home. There is a learning curve, as with all video production suites.

Video production is highly demanding to begin with and requires balancing creative vision with technical skills in lighting, sound and editing with software. On top of that, the industry is very competitive.

FlexClip can help video producers, regardless of their background or level of expertise, create very high-quality videos that stand out in the market.

It helps me organise my video projects with the cloud space, the brand kit and the inner, custom folder structure. It gives me speed with the immense amount of templates in so many diverse categories. I want to highlight that the search function contributes as well, making the research phase pleasant and fast. It’s accurate and by using the right keywords, even very specific ones, you will get an asset or effect you need.

It gives me accuracy and supports my creativity with its wide range of features (effects, filters, transitions, presets, animations and various tools including AI) and the endless resources (video assets, music tracks and sound effects, design and dynamic elements, text and more). All the settings are applied fast, there are previews, and the working environment is professionally designed, giving me the space I need to focus on my project and also inspires me with the abundance of assets and settings.

Regarding the video editor, the dashboard is a two-level panel. The front editor, or timeline, the default when you enter the application, is the first level and the other one is the back editor, which gets activated once you double-click on a video track. The back editor gives you a more focused environment to work on a separate video track, away from the rest of the project.

This isolation is on purpose and it’s one of the features I enjoy most. Once you fully understand how it works, you can sync the rest of the elements in a separate video track very accurately. You can adjust and customise text, effects, subtitles, transitions, video and media layers like images and animations and a plethora of other settings with precision and create a professional outcome. You can replace media with other media easily and I believe you will discover more, hidden at first sight options.

All of that can be accomplished pretty fast when you become familiar with the software.

You can produce any kind of video for any situation. The platform is mostly targeting video professionals who need extended capabilities but it can be used for personal projects as well.

Let me go deeper!

FlexClip simplifies video production and editing once you get used to it. I have created short, quality and engaging video promos in literally minutes. It is also a platform that supports long-form videos like documentaries, workshops, movies and so much more.

I’m using it on the browser with a laptop (9+ years old, i7 Intel Core, 2.6 GHz processor, 2 GB graphics card and 16 GB of RAM). The internet speed at my office is 100 Mbps.

All the videos that I have produced with the platform are rendering fast and both my device and the internet speed are not the best in the world. You can produce way faster with a new, powerful computer and an advanced internet connection.

When it comes to more demanding video projects, such as trailers or even this video review of FlexClip in this article, rendering takes more time. This video review is long, over 2 hours and it contains countless transitions, effects, animations, a combination of audio tracks and sound effects, various text presets, overlays, and a large amount of images and video footage (my own recordings and stock videos found inside the platform).

This video is also a demonstration of the various capabilities of the platform.

Moreover, in this video, there are many scenes where I use multiple layers of videos and images on the canvas.

All these details and the vast plethora of settings require a fast, accurate and top-performing software that can render all these different media precisely without errors, because when there are errors, the outcome, the video product, will suffer, and thus, the audience will not enjoy it and it may be proved a catastrophe in case it was a video for a business.

The thing is that the platform gets the job done effectively every single time, which is what matters most.

The software can handle large projects but that also depends on your hardware.

FlexClip has proved its output quality so many times for me.

Pros & Cons

Pros

For me, the advantages (pros) outweigh the disadvantages (cons) in a big way but it’s up to you to decide.

  • A vast library of templates in so many different categories
  • A revolutionary, capable AI platform that gets video production to a whole new level
  • A huge and constantly updated library of images, texts, videos, design elements, music tracks and sound effects.
  • A wide range of features, settings and presets (text, subtitles, effects, filters, animations, transitions, dynamic elements, video editing, image editing, audio editing and more)
  • A massive set of various tools to produce projects beyond videos.
  • Supports various video production categories for any situation. I will refer to the most popular here. Business, automotive, art, animal, education, entertainment, events, family, intros and outros, industrial, presentations, sports, real estate, reviews, social media, travel, tutorials, health, photography, nonprofit, lifestyle, fashion, holidays, nature, food and many more.
  • Rich learning resources. Blog, video channel, tutorials, case studies, comparisons, help center and more.
  • High-quality and flexible exporting (various quality levels, audio only, GIF and more)
  • Internal organisation capabilities. Folders, subfolders, brand kit, cloud space, favourites, team collaboration and more.
  • A community of members for inspiration and motivation.
  • Affordable and competitive pricing
  • Supportive and helpful customer service.
  • Business ethics aligned with mine.
  • Positive online reviews
  • Ever-evolving platform with constant updates and upgrades.

Let me describe how it feels to use FlexClip and what kind of opportunities exist that can’t be seen at first glance.

The vast library of professionally-designed templates gives you a tremendous boost in productivity and eliminates creative blocks. You don’t have to start every video project from a blank canvas. You choose a template and start working immediately. You customise it and replace the footage and other media assets with your own. You can add more templates to the same project, which is a feature that gives you endless flexibility and speed.

The AI platform is so competent and has so many different applications that you can literally create miracles. The only limit here is your imagination. You can generate and also edit images, videos, music and effects. You can create animations, remove objects and backgrounds, change styles of objects and so much more. You can use AI as a translator, noise and vocal remover, or meme generator.

What matters most is the end result. FlexClip uses all the latest and popular AI models, making production a breeze.

I laid out a ton of examples in the video review.

The huge library of assets gives you peace of mind. Beyond the recordings and footage you add to the canvas, the library of assets is your absolute partner. You can enhance your scenes with b-roll, high-quality videos, music, effects and images. You can produce videos for any industry, category and niche market. The library is your arsenal and provides you with endless resources to make your videos engaging and professional.

Huge libraries like this one increase efficiency, reduce costs and enable higher-quality, consistent output. They act as centralised hubs for creative teams. Producers can quickly locate, repurpose and deploy creative assets, which in turn, accelerates production and streamlines workflows.

The features of the application have surpassed my expectations for many aspects of video production. I have only a few minor objections, which I discuss below in the next paragraph.

Adding, editing and customising videos, text, design elements and animations to the canvas is like playing a video game. You can add as many layers of assets as you want and customise each element separately. Everything is done fast and easily (once you get used to it).

FlexClip is much easier to use compared to other software I have used throughout the years.

The effects and filters of the platform are another major advantage. You can transform simple videos into motion artwork. You can make your videos more attractive, impressive and engaging and thus, get your message across effectively and tell stories that hook viewers in. You can establish certain moods through colour grading, strengthen your brand identity and create polished, professional-looking content that stands out, often reducing the need for costly, physical, on-set prototypes. Visual aids and motion graphics help simplify complex information, making it easier for the audience to digest.

I walked you through the enormous library of tools as well, in the first minutes of the video review. FlexClip is not only about creating videos. You can convert files, generate emojis, memes, GIFs, stickers, charts, and various designs. I could talk for hours. I invite you to visit the tools page to see for yourself the extended capabilities of the platform.

Internal organisation is another very important aspect in video production. With the brand kit, you can store your logos, favicons, QR codes, watermarks, images, design and other elements, own fonts and custom colours organised in a professional manner. This feature ensures a clean and sharp working environment. The cloud gives you space to store content and retrieve it instantaneously. The team collaboration feature is another massive add-on.

As concerns the pricing, the platform is very affordable for what it provides and the high-quality outcomes. The software could be offered at a much higher tier easily. I respect the brand for this generous pricing structure. You get way more than you invest in.

I want to get your attention now. I’ve seen FlexClip getting better and better as time passed by. The current version, for example, has nothing to do with the previous one. If you start using it, at some point, you will understand how much work has been done behind the scenes. Video production with this platform is entertaining and enjoyable, absolutely satisfactory. You will never feel it like a job, task or chore. It’s a time-tested platform for millions of people.

All in all, I’m more than satisfied with FlexClip and I will continue using it.

If I had to describe it in just one sentence, I would say that the platform is designed to help you unleash your creaativity and this is the most important factor of all when it comes to choosing video production platforms.

Cons

The disadvantages are all technical in nature and I will mention what I would like to see added to the platform as well as what I would like to see improved.

  • The audio settings are somehow limited and the audio volume can not exceed 100%.
  • Video tracks are displayed as plain videos in the timeline.
  • The zoom function is somehow limited.

Let me explain.

While limiting audio volume to a maximum of 100% is standard practice in digital devices to prevent distortion and protect hardware, it comes with disadvantages. One, and the most frequent, is that there is insufficient volume for quiet sources and low-volume recordings. There are so many cases where producers need to boost audio volume for specific quiet segments.

FlexClip knows about it and they have even written an article on the topic, providing some alternative, external solutions that actually work. I tested some of them. I have also come up with my own workarounds using free audio editing software. Let me know if you want to learn more.

You can adjust the volume, up to 100%, reduce noise, remove vocals, change the speed, add fade in and out, edit and add effects with AI, split, trim, link and unlink, duplicate, delete and a few more.

I’d like some additions here. I would like to see a normaliser, a compressor and any other basic audio effects they may add. I would also like to see a decibel clipping meter in combination with a limiter for professional audio production.

You can add audio tracks, as many as you want and on top of other audios and videos, but still, videos that contain audio are displayed as plain videos. You can detach audio from video and then add it to the timeline as an audio track, but if the video editor was able to identify and separate the video and audio of a track instantly when a video is added, that would lead to a tremendous advantage. This would be an ideal video editing environment.

Regarding the zoom function, it zooms pretty well but for long videos over 1 hour, the maximum zoom is not enough and can lead to errors. There is a workaround to create video chunks (parts) that don’t exceed 1 hour in duration, which worked well for me in all cases. But if I could zoom a little more, it would be ideal. Zooming in helps sync audio and video tracks more accurately, which is an essential factor. Plus, there is only horizontal zoom, not vertical. Vertical zoom could be extremely useful, especially for audio tracks.

These improvements would give FlexClip an unparalleled competitive advantage and could transform an already highly efficient and extremely capable software into a top-of-mind solution.

Resume

FlexClip is a video production suite that stands out for many reasons, which I analysed above, in this section. Great user experience, endless resources, a wide range of features, settings and capabilities enriched with AI for creative projects without limits. Professional, high-quality end result, flexibility, scalability and efficiency.

It boosts productivity and reduces heavy costs associated with physical and local production.

There is a learning curve but it is relatively small compared to other tools.

More importantly, the platform has evolved throughout the years and meets the high standards of this competitive industry.

Inside the video review, there is a section entitled “Time Travel”. I showcase how FlexClip was in the past and walk you through some of my very first productions with this platform.

To quickly find any section inside the video review, head over to the 1-minute mark where the contents of the video are listed.

Also, the video of this review has been produced with FlexClip, to show you what’s possible with this software.

It can help you stand out as a video producer; this is de facto.

On the other hand, there is room for improvement but that does not mean that the platform has issues. No issues at all. I’d like to see improvements in the areas I mentioned earlier, the audio settings and the zoom function.

All in all, a top-performing and user-friendly software. I recommend it to everyone. You won’t regret it.

I use multimedia tools daily for various operations, mainly marketing. I create videos and there is design work such as brochures, posters, flyers, cards, digital content for emails and social media and much more. I use FlexClip in combination wth design and photography software, external AI tools and other products.

FlexClip is giving me a boost as I’m able to produce demanding videos that would usually take me days to create, in a fraction of the time.

It’s the main tool that I will be using to produce the long-awaited “7 IDEALS” documentary, along with other solutions  I am already in the middle of the shootings, there is plenty of work done and now with the addition of FlexClip and despite the absence of time, I am excited to go on with this project.

Plus, I’ll be using the platform to unleash a pack of video trailers for an upcoming series of webinars. You can learn more below, in the “VIP Experience” section.

It’s an application that you should consider very seriously to add to your arsenal.

Cinematic Marketing Lab (coming next)

What makes videos so powerful in getting a message across?

Think about it for a moment…

It’s not the tool.

It’s the storytelling behind the videeo.

That’s why I started building something new behind the scenes.

The “Cinematic Marketing Lab”.

We will explore how creators, producers, marketing professionals and business owners can use cinematic storytelling and trailer-style videos to capture attention and communicate irresistible messages.

Inside the lab, I’ll be experimenting with:

  • Storytelling frameworks. The first one to be revealed is the 7IDVSMax Trailer Blueprint.
  • Analysis of marketing trailers
  • Templates
  • Case studies

  • and so much more.

It’s all about video storytelling.

It’s in the early stages but something exciting is starting to happen and I’d love for you to be part of the “Cinematic Marketing Lab”.

The story of cinematic marketing… is just getting started.
