Now, depending on your specific niche and your branding, you may want to proceed with changes. but as it is, the copy stands out and propels people to take action.

High-quality imagery, great fit for the academic direction, makes sense, it’s organised, there are icons, illustrations, animations, price tags, beautiful buttons, etc. The creator has taken into account important details regarding UX (user experience), branding, search engines and performance. 
  • Ready-to-launch pricing model: All the products come with a certain pricing. You may change prices according to your business model and strategy, competition, goals and target audience.
  • Useful tools to build traffic & authority.These are the tools that I revealed earlier. A huge addition, congratulations.  
  • Launch quickly with WordPress. Yes, it is fast. There are clear video instructions to guide you to install a certain backup plugin from the WordPress database and restore the digital file shared upon your order. This file contains all the content of your brand-new website. Very convenient, having in mind the technical side of WordPress.

Global presets are the presets that apply to all the pages of a website and you can easily change the default settings with a few clicks, thus resulting in changes to all the pages on your site. You will not have to change the colours manually on every page. Just once, using the global preset settings.

A. Homepage.

The homepage shows a top bar with coloured background and 3 columns: 1. Text: skills that actually matter, 2. Text slider (similar content), 3. Welcome guest and login. 

The second bar, underneath the top bar, has 3 columns again: 1. The logo (DIGIACADEMY, displays a laptop screen with an open book in it and a graduation college hat on the left. Good job, but of course, you will have to design your own logo. (I have a solution for that matter as well). 2. The main menu: About, courses, shop tools, account and blog. 3. My account icon, cart icon, and get started button (to register).

The header (hero section). This section has a very important role. Grab people’s attention, communicate the value proposition and drive user engagement through a compelling headline, media (imagery or video) and a call-to-action (CTA). I analysed the homepage a little bit, earlier, in the features section.

 The sub-headline, the headline and the text paragraph are professionally crafted and do a good job. There’s also a start your journey button (motivational, it does not say, purchase or buy, it says start a journey). There are also key statistcs: 350+ practical lessons, 1000+ digital resources. Underneath, popular categories and a button “see all”.

On the right side, a man and a woman smiling, thumbs up, elegant outfits, they both hold a laptop. They are young, around 30 years old, and there is a doiuble-coloured backgound only behnd the figures. Very good job. 

Underneath, a mini-ssdection, a text slider: Learn skills that matter, free essential courses, instant digital resources, 100% secure checkout, expertly crafted materials and more.

Next, a 3-column section: Smart learning (courses), digital resources (shop), online tools (tools).

Next, featured courses 4 columns. Facebook live for leads and sales, etc. Details: Number of lessons, minutes, by (creator), in (category), price, add to cart button. 

Next, the categories explorer. Digital marketing, local marketing, AI & automation, productivity, branding and content creation, mindset and strategies. 

Next, the benefits: Learning that works in practice. Get real work done, everything in one place, ready when you are. 

Next, popular courses. 4 columns, 3 for courses, 1 for courses and potentially ads. 

Next, the steps the visitor needs to take to get value. The roadmap. Choose your learning path, learn with a clear structure, and apply what you learn. 

Next, exclusive digital resources. A 5-column section.

Next, testimonials. A slider with 3 items.

Next, tips and insights. Also, a “blog” button.

Last, footer. 1. (top), support and email, social follow buttons, payment processors. 2. About short text, popular categories, quick links, and resources. 3. Copyright notice, terms, privacy policy. 

Great job. High-quality images and icons, variety in layouts (structure and design), practical and includes all the important elements. A header with a clear CTA, a roadmap, the benefits and outcomes, useful information and links (bottom). The navigation is smooth and effective and the user experience is very promising.

It’s very close to what I would have designed for a business like this.

B. About.

The same bars on top appear just like the homepage. An H1 text saying “About”. A paragraph entitled “A practical platform built for local success”, the testimonials sections (also found in the homepage), and the benefits/outcomes section. The same footer as well.

Not bad, but I would prefer a more diverse direction, not so close to the homepage’s design and layout. Plus, I would not repeat the testimonials, nor the benefits. 

Here, I recommend that you add your own story, values and vision for the future. Why your business exists and also what makes it better than competing ones. 

I can recommend more sections. Keep on reading, I will summarise everything in the final section on this page.

C. Courses.

The header shows the text “Courses”. 

Next section, 4 columns. 1. the left sidebar, a search function. Here, the creator made a tech tweak by adding some code. The search widget is returning results only regarding this specific department, the courses. This is not what WordPress websites display by default. Congratulations.  

Underneath the search bar: the categories of courses, level (all, beginner, intermediate, expert), price (free, paid). Also, a button “clear all filters”. 

The right side, columns 2-4. The courses, each one with all the necessary details. You can sort by release date (newest first or oldest first), course title (a-z or z-a).

Plus, there is navigation for the pages of this department. 

Let me mention a few examples by category:

  • AI & Automation: Facebook messenger bot marketing
  • Branding & Content: WordPress fundamentals and security essentials, modern podcasting from launch to monetisation
  • Internet Marketing: Facebook live for leads and sales, profit-driven video marketing.
  • Local Marketing: Split testing for conversion and SEO growth
  • Mindset & Strategies: The solopreneur success playbook
  • Productivity: Time control for entrepreneurs.

Very good job in terms of design and layout. Clean structure, modern interface. This department expresses trust and credibility right away. Congratulations.

D. Shop.

All Products.

Header text: Ready-to-use digital tools for growth. You can sort by popularity, average rating, latest and price (low to high or high to low). 

Examples:

  • Seasonal promo GPT for local businesses: $9.95 instead of $19

Underneath, 4 icons and text. Secure payments, instant access, best prices and deals, friendly support.

No objections at all. A practical page with a clean layout, price tags, rating stars and quality illustrations for the products.

Let me click on a product to visit the page with the details.

This one, client outreach and proposal master pack – 5 GPTs, $9.99 instead of $9. There’s always a discount mentioned on every product.I recommend that you be truthful regarding your discounts. 

Effective navigation showing the products’ category and subcategory. The short description: A client-getting pack of 5 GPTs for proposals, cold emails, and lead conversion. Land clients faster with better messaging and smarter outreach. Add to cart button. Payment processors. What you will find in our store. Security. compliance and support icons. The full description: does a very good job in showing the product’s value proposition. Also, a how it works section. a reviews section and a sticky navigation sidebar on the right (5 tabs: product details, how it works, why our store, reviews, add to cart). 

Underneath, two more sections, a 3-in-1 section with links to courses, shop and tools and a featured courses section. Lastly, the footer.

Congratulations on the detailed, analytical work. The page conveys trust.  

Cart.

Header, shopping cart. 3 main icons: Shop, Review, Checkout. All are clickable, good job. It takes some coding to accomplish that. Also, a button “return to shop”. It’s not a bad idea to have two options for visitors to return to the shop. In fact, this is what I do. I would also place a “my account” button on this page. 

All in all, the shopping experience stands out and will help you build confidence right away.

It took me a long time to design and code the marketplace pages on this website. Congratulations again to the creator.

E. Tools.

The design of this page follows the same winning formula. A descriptive header, “Smart tools for everyday digital work”, the tools in the next section are divided into 4 columns and 2 rows, followed by a popular courses section and the footer. 

Clean layout, great user experience, nothing unnecessary. 

F. Blog.

The header comes with the text “Blog”. The next section is divided into 3 columns. 1. Left, a preview of a blog post “Managing your online reputation” with an excerpt (summary) and a photo of around 666X444 px. 2. Middle, 2 blog posts, only the titles, no description, using smaller-sized photos. 3. Right, 4 blog post previews, only titles, even smaller-sized photos. 

That’s a beautiful section.

Next, a section with 3 columns, courses, shop and tools. 

Next, more blog post previews. Now, the image is on the left of the description and it’s the same size of the 2nd column of the first section. 

Next, testimonials and the footer.

I was not expecting any content, just previews. Now, the articles are short, around 300 words, with a maximum of 500 words. I would not expect any rankings in the search engines, but it’s something. It gives beginners an idea of what it is like to produce content for the web. It also adds credibility for visitors and it’s something they expect and anticipate. Every serious business has an active blog department.

Great addition, well done.

G. Contact.

A clean “submit your request” form at the top with these fields: Name, phone number, email address, how can we help dropdown (order or account, issues with courses, collaboration request, other/general inquiry). message.

All the fields are mandatory. I would recommend making the phone number field optional. There’s also a captcha puzzle, the native Divi captcha. You can optionally install a 3rd-party captcha for even greater spam control, in case your website has a lot of spam comments and messages. It is just fine as it is.

Underneath is an FAQ section with crucial questions answered. 

Great work on the contact page as well.

H. Legal.

Digital License & Usage Info page. It covers:

  • Intro
  • General license grant
  • Course license and usage
  • Digital products license
  • GPTs and AI-based products

Great, all the major legal pages are here. I would proceed with some important additions, i.e. sections regarding cookies, various laws like GDPR, California Civil Code and more.

All in all, a pretty decent job has.

Knowledge Economy

I’ve been part of this enormous economy since 2015. I exchange knowledge with others daily, non-stop. I recommend that you read the article “Knowledge Economy Success Blueprint” and also get access to the dedicated workshops.

The academy’s website runs on WordPress, a reliable platform and the most popular in the market. This is the one I’m using since I got involved in the online space in 2015. 

The design theme, Divi by Elegant Themes, is a masterpiece. A visual drag-and-drop builder, unlimited customisations, global presets, a unique system for organisation, 1000s of ready-made templates (for any kind of page) which you can plug at any time (created by the ElegantThemes team), endless extensions and plugins, and so much more that I can’t cover in this article. 

You will be delighted to have such a system in place. 

Getting started with the backup plugin. The creator has a solid solution: you grant a digital file, install the WP Vivid plugin and restore the file. You might get in trouble during this process. It mostly depends on the hosting provider. 

Speaking about hosting, I want to warn you that choosing a leading name is the best option for such a website. An eLearning platform with all those tools and products in place has the potential to grow. When the site starts getting amounts of traffic, it needs a reliable partner in the background, a hosting service built for performance and security. 

I’ve had to deal with hosting issues for many years and recently, I changed my hosting provider. Now, the website is running smoothly and can accept loads of traffic without problems. 

The more users visit the site, the more resources you add, the more content you create, the heavier the site gets and becomes slower.

Plus, Divi is a demanding theme and requires a fast and efficient hosting service. 

Don’t take it lightly and you won’t regret it.

Regarding the eCommerce side of this business, it is run on WooCommerce. Another popular and reliable solution. But… WooCommerce is source-intensive, just like Divi. That’s another reason for you to choose a high-class hosting provider. 

You would need more plugins and utilities to effectively manage and run an online business, and specifically an eCommerce business, even without physical products. 

To really become effective in this business, you need to have a great marketing platform in place. You are going to collect emails, create and deliver products, write articles, create pages, and so much more.

Thinking of investing in such a product, it means that you are serious about building a real business, one that provides value to other people and has a positive impact on their lives. It’s a big decision.

On the other hand, if you are an established business owner, this product will help you expand your clientele. 

Expect a high-quality website built with some of the most prominent tools in the market.

Divi, which runs on WordPress only, is an elegant choice for millions of web developers, me included. WordPress is a difficult, not beginner-friendly platform, but it has unlimited potential. Divi secures reliability and it’s an ever-evolving theme, constantly updated. Recently, Divi has released the 5th version, which is not a usual upgrade. It’s a complete reset from the ground up. Not because it lacked features or capabilities but due to the fact that the team behind it is always at the forefront of technology. They are always one step ahead. The new version is simply untouchable. 

It’s superior in terms of design, customisation, responsiveness and performance, but it’s heavy and you need a good hosting service.

Next, we have WooCommerce powering up the eCommerce side of the business. It’s resource-intensive and relies on speed and solid infrastructure. The solution is, again, a reliable hosting provider. 

I’ve analysed the website architecture very carefully and found no serious issues. Everything is so well organised and the website conveys trust and confidence. 

The creator is a professional. He cares about the little details and has bundled the website platform with tools, content, learning materials, guides, lessons and even ready-to-sell products. It’s a magnificent and attractive offer. It’s also a decent one. 

The presentation is ethical and has no outrageous claims. 

For example, the product page mentions… step #1, effortlessly setup your academy website in minutes with just a few clicks. Well, it might take a few hours or more to install a website and restore the backup file, especially for beginners and in cases with low-quality hosting environment, like shared hosting packages. If it is a migration, it’s a whole other story. 

Let’s review another, a fancy one. Use the included training and materials to drive traffic and grow your site with ease. Even if the training and promotional materials are the best in the world, creating content and driving traffic is not easy. It takes time, persistence and you have to deal with big competition. Trust is being built slowly but the product gives you the foundation. Think of this product as the base, a solid platform where you can start building content and get eyes on your offers. 

I said it before and I will say it again. Success won’t knock at your door just like that. 

The product gives you a big advantage compared to beginners or experts who will build everything from scratch. 

What is missing?

The academy platform is complete; you can literally start right away by driving traffic, selling products and accepting payments. There is education, training, guidance, promotional materials, templates and support.

However, if you want to become a real pro and grow the platform, you will need more tools and gadgets.  

First, you need a reliable hosting service. For a website with this equipment and tools, I recommend a top-tier service. One that, beyond speed and storage capabilities, can offer you daily backups which you can access immediately.   

You will have to install WordPress and some basic plugins. A good hosting provider will give you a platform to execute this task comfortably.

You will need plugins for social sharing, SEO, spam, compliance, image optimisation, cache and speed optimisation, as well as other secondary but very important marketing tools. Maybe a live chat widget, monitoring, analytics and other related services. Some of these operations can be accomplished via 3rd-party platforms but again, you will need to sync those platforms with your platform, meaning you will have to add code manually. 

I also recommend installing a child theme to store all custom code and scripts. A WordPress child theme allows for customising a website’s design and functionality without altering the core parent theme files. This way, changes are preserved during theme updates. It enables safe experimentation with CSS and PHP, keeps customisations organised in one place, and protects the site from data loss.

Why custom code and scripts? 

Because you are running an eCommerce business. You will need extra customisations, in contact forms, email notifications and opt-in forms. You may want to add extra buttons to the cart and checkout pages. You may customise the account dashboard and so many other departments.

You will need to collect data and analyse it. You will run ads and campaigns. You need tracking code and pixels. 

Some functions might not work as expected, i.e. a problematic payment processor or a payment option. You can’t adjust everything without adding custom code.

You will be collecting email addresses. What are you going to do with your email subscribers? You need automation, send email in bulk, monitor activity and understand what drives sales and growth for your business. 

Regarding branding, you want to decide on your colouring, typography and more, as well as design a professional logo. I would not expect such a product to include a logo. This has to be done separately.  

What about the content that already exists on the platform?

It’s a good starting point. You’ll be in a vantage position compared to others who build everything on their own. But… don’t expect serious traffic with a few articles. Content marketing is an extraordinary weapon but it takes more than a few articles.

Pros:

  • Low entry price, even the standard price of $97 is a no-brainer. A complete business package with all those tools and ready-to-sell products could easily cost $2000.
  • It’s a one-time fee; there are no additional expenses. 
  • My favourite tools in the setup; Divi and WooCommerce. Their capabilities are endless. Easy to customise, reliable, time-tested solutions.
  • Quality in design and aesthetics. Great imagery, icons and illustrations.
  • Everything is well-organised. There is structure and logic.
  • Great UX, user experience. Visitors land in a warm, friendly environment. 
  • It saves you a ton of time, I mean months of hard work and experimentation.
  • It is a scalable package. I mentioned so many add-ons and tools you can add to enhance operations, especially marketing, which is the #1 factor in driving sales. Plus, you can invest in the upgrades to get a commercial license and start selling to clients. On top of that, the more you are active in your business and the more you promote it, the more doors open. 

Cons: 

  • It doesn’t support a wide range of niche markets. It is mostly suitable for business-oriented audiences. 
  • You may be selling the same exact products as other competing academy owners. 
  • The content (articles) that already exists is the same for all the academy buyers. This is a red flag for search engines. I recommend improving the current articles and starting to create your own, unique content from day one.
