Episode 40: Curiosity didn’t kill any cat

Curiosity is one of the most powerful forces. It helps us learn and grow. And curiosity didn’t kill any cat. This is just a myth because they don’t want you to learn and grow. But if you’re a business owner, you should be curious, keep learning and growing, and that’s why you should be asking…QUESTIONS.

The Fisher College of Business of the Ohio University is underlying the power of curiosity. And they say…that sometimes we may feel that we’ve reached a dead-end. And at these times, a mindset of curiosity can help us connect new information and synthesize similarly disparate ideas, hmmm…this sounds a lot like an entrepreneurial mindset to me.

And if you’re not curious, you are getting left behind in your business, in your life. How exactly are you going to foster relationships in cases where there are communication problems or frequent conflicts with other people? your employees, partners, vendors, what are you going to do? You need to approach them and show that you care, show your interest, so you can improve your relationships over time.

And curiosity helps us progress in our lives and helps us develop mastery and become experts. But when you become expert, don’t stand still. There is so much to learn, there’s no limit on how much you can learn, there are always new things to learn. And that’s especially true now that the world is changing faster than ever before and we are entering the new version of the web, Web 3.0.

And if you’re not curious, you can’t really innovate in your business. And being innovative is one of the main characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. So, keep researching the market, people’s needs, and let your creativity juices flow so you can come up with BIG IDEAS in your business. Big ideas? it’s the second phase in our methodology, the “7 Ideals”. And without those big ideas, we can’t really build the base of a thriving brand and that’s especially true in the new version of the web, Web 3.0.

So let’s recap…

Curiosity fuels progress, creativity, innovation, and helps us learn and grow. So, keep experimenting, keep coming up with big ideas, learn new things about your customers to understand them better. And make it a habit. Start asking questions to get to know them better, to understand what they need. And if you ask the right questions, they will tell you exactly what they need. 

So start using questions in your business. But it’s not only about business. Start questioning everything that comes your way. Don’t take anything for granted. Don’t accept something because someone said it, someone you know, someone famous, someone you trust. No, no,no. It doesn’t work this way. You have your own judgement, be the judge. Question everything , investigate, research, why? why is that happening?

Be curious. Keep questioning everything including yourself.
