2 years ago, I was invited to promote a brand new training program on Clickbank by an affiliate manager. Clickbank is one of the largest affiliate networks globally.

Let me show you what happened!

Turning $25 Ad Spend Into $2,500

First day

I checked the offer, researched the founders’ and company’s reputation and I signed up to participate in the launch of the program. (1-hour work so far).

The program would be available only during the launch period, 14 days or so. There was a pre-launch period, 7 days, and 7 days they would open up the registration doors.

After the end of the launch period, the program would not be available anymore.

Content creation

I granted access to the training platform, and I reviewed it. (plus 4 hours of work). A blog post that served as a landing page as well. I created only this post, nothing else for this promotion, not because it was not necessary, but I did not have more time to spare for this promotion. I am constantly promoting a multitude of brands plus I have to work for clients and deliver training workshops online.


When the relaunch period started, I partially promoted my blog review on social media and via emails. (plus 1-hour work)

I created 2 paid ad campaigns, 1 on Google, 1 on Bing. (plus 30mins work)

The day before the registration doors open, I ran the ads on Google and Bing.


When the launch period ended, I made 3 sales in total. 

The commission for 1 sale was around $1000, the total was about $2,500 after some discounts.

Let me count the hours needed to get things done for this campaign: 6,5 hours, let’s say add 3 more for social media actions, emails, discussions, answering questions, we have around 10 hours work.

I spent $25 on ads in total for both ad networks and I got $2500 in return.

Not bad, right?
